Field Spell

When this card is activated: Place 1 Ice Counter on all face-up monsters. You can activate this effect: remove any number of Ice Counters from cards on the field and Special Summon an equal number of "Snowdust Spirit Tokens" (WATER/Aqua-type/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to either side of the field. You can only use this effect of "Snowstorm of the Spirits" once per turn. If a monster with an Ice Counter(s) or a "Snowdust Spirit Token(s)" leaves the field by battle or card effect, put 1 Ice Counter on this card for each.

 

Ice Counter strats have some good bosses and lots of awful cards that are reliant on a ton of factors. This helps by making it easier to make comeback plays with Snowdust Dragon or Giant, makes Water fodder for Ice Master, and Snowman Creator can reliably use his pop effect. While the card is still reliant on your opponent for the most part, and other decks can abuse the token effect for link-nanigans, it's only going to be as potent as your opponent's board is big, so I'm honestly completely fine with the token spawn effect as it stands.

Okay, so, I understand that this is for ice counter decks, but I just love it as generic.

 

As a field spell, it is searchable by terraforming and AFD. And the effect is quite powerful, with links in mind.

 

If there are two monsters on board, it makes Master Boy. If there are 4, if makes Firewall. Just feels all-around powerful as a token generator, like phantom skyblaster without all the reasons skyblaster is garbage.
