Red Reboot
Trap Counter
You can activate this card from your hand by paying half your LP.
(1) When your opponent activates a Trap Card: Your opponent cannot activate Trap Cards for the rest of this turn, also negate that activation, and if you do, Set it on the field. Then, your opponent can take 1 Trap Card from their Deck and Set it to their Spell & Trap Zone.

Beats Trap Decks in conjuncture with Topologic Tulisbaena. Good handtrap for beating Evenly Matched or randy solemns. Good card.

You will never set it tho lmfao

Is it really that good in OCG? You're basically letting them search Imperial Order, Vanity or Judgment.

Then again, it can counter any of those.

Giving up 4K lp actually does matter IMO, but you're probs right

does it matter if you're nuking it with tulisbaena??

even then you just kill them that turn, so... Why do those searches matter?

you'll enver set it while intending to use it because it just gets popped. It's safer in the hand.

Wait I don't get the point. I get it's basically a Counter Hand Trap version of Trap Stun (alright I'm seeing the point), but you're going -2 and have to pay a hefty amount of LP.

As game design goes, it's a bit stupid. It essentially say "Win this turn. Otherwise -2." Like the idea of the card I just feel it's a bit degenerate.

Thought it sets to your field tbh

I believe it Sets the card your opponent activated to their field, since it doesn't specify itself, but rather "it" as in the card it most recently mentions.

That should make it bad then. I thought you could like steal your opponents Imperial Order or Vanity

Agree with black that you won't set it though

Soo you can negate an opponent's Solemn/Evenly Matched and set it to YOUR field as an option?

Let us see a duel where both players end up halving their own LP several times through Solemns and this, and let their play someday be reduced to Counter Counter exchange and a single hit for game xD

I have mixed feelings that the threat of removal is THAT big that you'd pay half the LP every time, but I guess I understand where it's coming from.

not quite how it works. It negates that trap, prevents your opponent from activating traps for the rest of the turn, then returns that trap to its original (set) position and lets your opponent grab another trap from their deck and set it.

The hand-activation is what sells the card and makes it shine. Not really concerned about it giving your opponent resources considering how simple those are to remove these days. Annoying that people, in general, moved towards hand traps instead of trap traps, though, so this card is really nothing more than a side-deck piece unless the game makes a dramatic shift in its play environment sometime soon.
