Doom Chimera...is interesting. By using 3 LV5s, you can get this thing to a respectable 3000 ATK, or even go further and then Rank it up into C5 to make that have 4000 ATK.
And then you can kill stuff and steal their monsters to fuel itself.
It really could have used another effect, such as "if this card would be destroyed by battle or by card effect, you can detach 1 material instead".
Pendulum Halt is great for any Pendulum-based Deck. Just use it during the Main Phase 2 after doing all of your plays so you can set up for next turn.

A bit disappointed by Chimera Dragon. It needs 3 materials or enough small monsters on the opponent's field to inflict big damage, otherwise Shark Fortress does the job better. I agree with Dan that a Zemnaines-ish protection effect would have been nice, especially in combination with its re-attaching effect. As for the second bullet effect, can be funny by topdecking a card your opponent can't play again, like a Solemn Trap without enough LP or anything else you know it's already dead.

Still, I guess something going for this card is its DARK/Dragon typing, because of RUM shenanigans.

Halt is... decent?

It's a fine 1-of if you have Duelist Alliance in your deck, but idk if it's even worth it. Worth testing, but honestly feels like overkill and a bit too heavy, considering the times you want to pop it are either the beginning of your turn (to set up) or the end of your turn (to fish for hand traps)... But the first doesn't work due to setup, and the latter means holding a dead card in decks that can realistically combo off from the moment the turn begins with searches involved, provided they didn't brick.

Or if it attached the monsters it destroyed by battle.

Then again, it probably didn't want to be better than its evolution (like that ever stopped C92 from existing lol).

The Pendulum Card has nothing to do with the Number. I do think BrokeN's potential rules are a tad excessive, but are we gonna keep bumping all reveals together in the race to be the one to post? Meh, whatever, at least it's only 2 of them and the names are both in the title (which surprisingly is not always the case).

Pendulum Halt seems pretty good. You just have to use it last and it doesn't slow down the other combos.

3 different Pendulums in the Extra sounds easy enough though how fast it depends. I don't doubt Pendulum Magicians can do it, but I wonder how other Pendulum themes can fair.

A Heavymetalfoe's Link Summon and you are almost there.

Pot of Riches is more general on where to grab the requirements and their names, but it uses-up ammo (if you know what I mean) and the Special Summon lock is a bit heavier IMO. Seems like Pendulum Halt will just keep on being live for good once you are able to use the first one (usually).

It sounds like a searchable Pot of Greed, but I'll only really see the small print implications once I test it out.

Draw into Maxx and Ash ideally

I find your assessment of it odd then. Pendulum Mags can deck thin like crazy, then drawing into cards that are at three is pretty nice. Better than "Decent" IMO

and it’s dead until you get to the end of your turn

Pendulums as a whole are good at deckthin, but that doesn’t mean you’re always going to hit your handtraps, and it doesn’t change that the mechanic is kinda bricks by its very nature. Magicians are notable for being more consistent, but their output is also lower on the whole.

Astral force turns doom chimera dragon into Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon, which would then have its effect unlocked.

So that's pretty neat, I guess.

That's a pretty neat idea.

*looks card back up* Hmm it can be generically Summoned with 2 Level 5s. Great!

I'd try it with Raging Dragon though. One-sided field nuke with +ATK and double attack.... sounds like a walking OTK.

I'm just glad they FINALLY released the Doom Chimera Dragon after so long of not having it. I can finally put it in my number collection.

Will pendulum halt be good in abyss actors? they don't add cards from deck to hand as often as say pen magicians and superstar sets them to the field, so there's no problem there. Might become a better tech than the pot of riches

Mythical Beasts could probably appreciate Pendulum Halt since they fill the extra pretty quickly but their searching is minimal.  It feels like the kind of card that brings weaker pendulum decks forward over drastically bettering the top ones, which is nice to see.
