The (1) and (2) effects of this card's name can each only be used once per turn.

 

(1) If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Wind-Up" card from your deck to your hand.

 

(2) You can banish 1 face-up "Wind-Up" monster you control face-down; Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with the same name as that monster.

 

(3) If this card is destroyed and send to the GY: You can target 1 "Wind-Up" Xyz monster you control; Attach this card to it as Xyz Material.

Add Shark and immediately Summon it when you grab another monster. So glad to see a Link monster finally for this archetype!

 

Perhaps this speeds up Zenmailfunction a little?

 

also unaffected by key

 

Was hoping for some Tribute shenanigans to tie into the occasional sighting of it in the effects of cards we already have.

So instead of the Link Vrains Pack Wind Up get their Link Monster in Flames of Destruction which is pretty nice for them. Plus the card itself being a ROTA for Wind-ups, swap out a Monster with a copy from your deck and also if you control a Xyz Material attach itself to it when its destroyed.

 

In all a solid Link Monster for Wind Ups.

Magician + shark

 

Normal magician, special summon shark, magician summon magician2

 

Activate shark effect, make lv 3, magician2 summons magician3

 

Magician1 and 2 make Zenmaicon, Zenmaicon add shark2, magician 3 summons rat

 

rat + shark1 summon wind-up carrier, carriers effect summons rat2, shark2 summons from hand

 

rat2 effect, summon magician2 from grave

 

magician3 + rat2 summon proxy dragon

 

shark2 uses effect, magician3 summons wind-up warrior from deck

 

shark2 + magician2 + warrior become Topologic Trisbaena under an EMZ

 

So ending field is Zenmaicon, Proxy Dragon, Carrier with a material, and Trisbaena under the EMZ so they can't summon extra deck monsters.

I still think Wind-Ups should ban Hunter and get everything else at max values, and then we'd see what comes of that.

The card is alright. Not a combo-starter since you need to go off to even make this and get your search, but considering it is Wind-Ups we are talking about, it shouldn't be too hard.

 

The attach effect doesn't seem too impressive but it is a nice bonus I guess. Zenmaister gains 300 ATK (lol) and Zenmaines gets an extra ammo, but your opponent would probably try to kill the Xyz first so I guess the destruction should be done by you (Dragonic Diagram, Sky Iris, Metalfoes, or whatever you wanna mix it with). Unless I'm not seeing something.
