The great tree, Yggdrasil, an enormous tower-like tree that keeps the world balanced, and is rumored to stretch all the way to the very heavens. It is the goal of every Exploration Guild to map out the multiple stratums of the great tree, and to uncover the long lost treasures that slumber within. But as many Guild's have found out, the stratums are far more dangerous than they may appear. Each stratum has it's own environment, it's own climate, it's own challenges, it's own beasts. As of now, nobody has been able to pass the 3rd Stratum, for any Exploration Guild who ventures in returns wounded and empty handed, with no recollection whatsoever.

Now, in the city of Dulcet, the local Exploration Guildhouse is looking for able bodied warriors, mages, scouts, and the like, to form up and venture into Yggdrasil. These teams will each be lead by a well trained mapmaker, and it will be their goal to uncover any at all secrets, and to venture past the 3rd Stratum. Will you be the one to see what's beyond the 3rd Stratum? Or will you fail just as many other teams have?

[spoiler=Important Locations]Dulcet: A beautiful city built on a large island, Dulcet sits in the shadow of the great tree, Yggdrasil. Home to the Holy Academy, Dulcet is famous for training the best and brightest of Protectors and Medics.

Sidonia: A cold and frigid kingdom located on the edges of the world. Homeland to the Celestrians, elven folk who have adapted to the cold of their kingdom, Sidonia has ancient ruins buried under the snow that are rumored to contain all manner of magical artifacts.

Orphian Mountains: A large mountain range that is said to have encircled the entire world in ancient times. Therians, a race of humanoids with bestial features and traits, develop large villages at the base of the mountain range. Ancient mines lay abandoned and barren within the mountain, but they may still hold hidden secrets.

Great Plains: A beautiful, flat expanse of land that is home to the nomadic Brouni, a diminutive people who worship nature. The plant life here isn't just beautiful, but useful, as many flowers and herbs here make powerful and helpful medicines.


[spoiler=Character Classes]


Melee Classes

Landsknecht: Skilled, well-balanced fighters who are at home on the front lines. They're skilled at sword/axe and shield combat, and can infuse their weapons temporarily with fire, shock, or ice damage.

Survivalist: Speedy and agile archers who keep enemies at bay with sniper fire. They can even call upon either a hawk or a wolf to aid them in combat.

Protector: Holy knights sworn to guard others with their lives. With shield and sword in hand, they're literal tanks on the battlefield.




Support Classes

Medic: Healers who treat the party's wounds. They lack true combat training but can defend themselves with hammers and wands.

Troubadour: They strive to support their allies with songs and dance. They lack any sort of combat training and need to rely on their allies for protection.

Hexer: Dark arcanists who use forbidden arts to manipulate and debilitate enemies. As very few can master hexes, Hexers are quite rare.




Magic Classes

War Magus: Front line mages who can provide the party with useful buffs. Trained in the use of War Edges, custom made staves with a variety of bayonets on the ends of the staves.

Alchemist: Those who study the laws of the universe to gain control over creation. They wield powerful gauntlets that allow them to bend fire, ice, and electricity to their will.

Necromancer: Practitioners of undead magic who summon spirits and other undead for assistance. Wield two coffin shaped shields that hide large blades in them.

Gender: Male or Female?

Race: Human, Celestrian, Brouni, or Therian?

Appearance: A picture works or at least a paragraph.

Class: Pick from the above class list.

Personality: How does your character act, what's their opinion of teamwork, etc. At least a paragraph.

Biography: Where did your character come from, where did they train, etc. At least two paragraphs.

Equipment: Weapons, Armor, or any other essentials.

Misc: Any odds and ends you would like to mention. Battle Themes, trivia, etc.

[spoiler=Personality]With a curious and inquisitive disposition towards everything, Rezzi is a very adventurous young woman. She's always rearing to go on a trip through Yggdrasil, even if it is just to gather supplies and resources on the 1st Stratum. A bit of a book worm, Rezzi likes to share her knowledge with others, though as a result she is prone to blabbering on for excessive amounts of time. She hopes that this knowledge will help the day she joins with a team of explorers to venture into Yggdrasil and discover what lies past the 3rd Stratum.

 

 

[spoiler=Biography]Ever since she could remember, Rezzi has had adventure on her mind. Of course it could just be that she was the daughter of Dulcet's Guildmaster, Ser Ivan. This didn't exactly mean she had a privileged life,

her father was barely ever around as he was busy running the guildhouse and heading explorations into the guild. She even had to be looked after by a sitter, as her mother had passed away when she was five. Her life was pretty rough, but things would take a turn when she was chosen to inherit her father's position as guildmaster.

 

Throughout her life, Rezzi had shown magical potential,

potential that caught the eye of Kirin, Dulcet's finest War Magus and a friend to her father. Kirin took her in when she had turned 12 and taught her all that she could,

and to everyone's surprise, she took in everything really well. By 14, she was already casting spells perfectly, and by 16, she had mastered everything Kirin had taught her.

 

The explorers of the guild called her a war magus prodigy and thought that she would be a perfect guildmaster one day. But now, she wants nothing more than to explore the stratums of Yggdrasil, and to do what her father couldn't, break through the 3rd Stratum. She anxiously awaits for the day that she can form a team, abd with her father's and Kirin's support, she may just realize her goal.

 

 

[spoiler=Equipment]Globe Staff: A slender staff with a globe of Gaia set on the tip of it. Rezzi uses a special bayonet, given to her by her father, that has a natural flame enchantment on it, giving her attacks the fire element.

 

Guildmaster's Pendant: An amulet Rezzi inherited from her father. The gem in the amulet is said to have fallen from the top of Yggdrasil, and protects Rezzi from terrible statuses and bindings.

 

 

[spoiler=Misc]Rezzi has a high level of respect towards the Celestrians, even more so since her mentor Kirin is a Celestrian.

 

Has an extreme allergic reaction to Cube Gels and prefers to stand aside whenever she encounters them.

How's the info absorbtion going?

 

Sorry for the late response!

 

I do agree with scooterulez. I had played an Etrian Odyssey game, and assumed more generic information came with the setting, but from what I've seen I think it would be better to know a bit more regarding the world in said franchise you have set up.
