[FLOD] World Legacy Inheritor

Spell/Normal
Target 1 monster in your GY; Special Summon that monster to your Monster Zone a Link Monster on the field points to. You can only activate 1 "World Legacy Inheritor" per turn.

A generic revival Normal Spell that essentially uses itself to pay for the cost of your Link Summons.
The main usage I can see of this is to utilize your Link Monsters or Extra Deck monsters as Link Materials without a substantial risk of losing them.

So...

Fusion Summon a HERO Fusion> Normal Summon a HERO > Link Summon Wonder Driver > use this to revive HERO in grave and get a poly/Fusion/mask change card from your GY > proceed to make a Link 3 and a additional Fusion.

...this seems like a decent revive card based on how techy it can be in decks. Even works to boost the ATK of your Decode Talker when you revive that monster to one of its zones. This card can also revive Link Monsters to expand on your zones.

Well well, did not expect to see something like this so soon. Generic revive is great, doesn't change anything about the monster, can be in Attack Position, so laddering up will be super easy, heck, it even works if your opponent's monsters point to your side. If you focus heavily on Link Summoning, I don't see a reason not to use this.

Funnily enough with this, it can be a powerful card with scapegoat since you can with 4 tokens go...

Summon Gaia Saber off 3 > use the last token with Gaia Saber for Skulldeat > use this to bring Gaia Saber back with 2900 ATK in the middle zone to not only expand your plays but also grant you 2 high ATK Monsters off 1 card.

I don't see why every deck in OCG doesn't run Reborn...yet here we are

I think the more notable parts are that this is searchable (technically? Probably better searching by the end of the story.) and allows you to run “more copies” of reborn.

The issue is that it requires a decent hand, because 1-4-1 revival with a hard opt isn’t amazing in a lot of cases. But, as mentioned sorta, Link-2 is a really good link for laddering, so it can be a “+1” material in that sense.

Its only main argument is just being searchable, compared to its competitors. Though at the same time it's not a card I'd actually dedicate deck slots to search for it specifically. It's not bad by any means, just pretty boring.

I don't know, I'm really averse to the whole "need to control a link monster first before you can use this" aspect. It's not bad, but I feel like in at least a majority of the situations, it'd be winmore compared to something else you can run on that spot.

Really good card. In Plant Link it's a lot more versatile than Symbol of Heritage and obviously it's a pretty good option for World Chalice. It should age well, too.

It's not that searchable, only by World Legacy - "World Chalice" and World Legacy - "World Armor" which don't see much play outside the obvious, aside from that it's just a good 1-of revival card if you have room.

IMO you are overhyping this card. OCG has had Reborn for a while and nowadays it's not really being played, at least AFAIK, while this card is more situational than it.

As said before, its selling point is that it's searchable and while its current searchers aren't as practical to splash in other decks to search this card that you are already splashing in other decks, it is ought to get more practical searchers as more World Legacy cards are released.

I think the main reason for that is because most OCG decks are SPYRALs, which have 3 Quik-Fix and Big Red until their list takes effect. Pendulum Decks like Magicians and Zefra are also less likely to play it because they go to the ED when they die. Besides those, most decks are still running Monster Reborn. It's still seeing play, just not in the aforementioned decks for those reasons and those decks happen to be dominating.
