Korova. Not a region that many traveled to in this day and age. Other regions were much more tourist friendly and the League challenges much more organized. However that wasn't to say that they weren't set up to welcome people to the area.

The easiest, and most common, means of entering the region was through New Point Landing. Located on the western edge of a large island, which itself was to the west of the mainland, New Point Landing was once the place to go for shopping and trading of goods. Nowadays it has fallen quite a bit. Many of the stores are closed, boarded up and awaiting a day where the region is more prosperous. The stores that do remain are mostly family businesses that have been there since the start and stubbornly kept open for the citizens and few travelers. That and a single large, more modern, store that sells items needed for travel as well as some more hobby and entertainment goods.

The ship coming into the port, a long stretch of man-made dock that branched off of the city, with several warehouses for storing shipments from the ships that docked there until they could be dispersed through the region, was different than most that the city usually saw.

It resembled a cruise ship more than cargo.Though what it was carrying was something that would be a much more precious cargo than Korova could have imagined.
For on board were a group of young trainers who were destined to take part in a struggle that would decide the fate of the entire region.
Pokemon Trainers from across the world, all converging here with the same task. Challenging the Pokemon League and becoming the Champion that the region has been lacking for several long years.

Naomi looked out at the city that approached. Or rather she WOULD have looked out if her eyes were open.

As it was the girl was fast asleep and half-hanging from the railing at the bow of the ship's deck. She seemed to be not concerned in the slightest about the dangers as the ship gently rocked against the waves. Her face was peaceful, content, and she was drooling ever so slightly as she dreamed of cotton candy clouds and chocolate syrup waves.

The only thing that stirred her from this slumber in any capacity was the bells that sounded on the ship, indicating to those aboard that they'd be docking soon.

Even then it didn't fully wake her. Though it did cause her to roll around a bit in her sleep. And, given she was already precariously perched, she very nearly slipped forward and right into the water.

The only thing that stopped her was the large, rocky, rhino creature that grabbed onto the back of her shirt with its mouth. Careful not to bite down too hard the Rhyhorn pulled her trainer back and away from the railing.

This caused the girl to fall onto her back and finally jolted her awake.

She glanced around with bleary eyes. Looking for the sweet treats that had been around her just moments ago. She heard a grunt and glanced up and behind her.
Upon seeing the Rhyhorn looking down at her with what could only be described as exasperation, Naomi gave a sleepy smile and yawned. "Mornin, Princess, this isn't m'bed izzit?"

She sat up, not without some effort, and patted the floor beneath her. "Nope, too wooden." Staying seated, pulling her legs back to hold her knees to her chest, she looked out at the waves, and the city beyond it. "Oh, we're almost there." She said. "Guess I should get ready....after anutter nap."

She laid back again and closed her eyes. Before she fell asleep she heard her partner Pokemon moving to her right side and laying down, realizing that she wasn't about to move until she absolutely had to.

The Pokemon wondered where the other two humans who were meant to accompany them were. The captain had informed them all that it would be required to form teams of three before landing. Something about the danger to newcomers to the land. Naomi hadn't bothered to look for anyone else so she had been forced to group together with whoever happened to approach her. She still wasn't sure who the two were but she hoped they'd be nice.

As the ship docked into the port, everyone would be helped off the ship by the crew, and greeting them was a tall, middle-aged, man with mutton chops of such grandeur that they were hard to distinguish from a beard.
"Hello, and welcome...to Korova! I got word of your arrival and sallied forth to greet you! I am the dockmaster here, and I wish to be the first to welcome you all to my fair city, the jewel of this region, in my eyes at least, New Point Landing. I'm sure you'll find it accommodating to your needs...You may not even want to leave, gwahahahaha!"

Naomi, slumped over Princess, barely waved her hand to return the greeting. She could hear the waves gently hitting the dock and it sure was relaxing...

[spoiler=OOC]Welcome...to New Point Landing and the start of the RP! I decided to begin at the end of the boat trip and, to make it flow easier, to have us having formed teams before the start of the RP. Otherwise we'd be forced to go through some awkward and likely frustrating interactions just to get started.
You may feel free to describe how your character spent the trip, their thoughts on those they met, and reaching New Point Landing and being greeted by the dockmaster.

Meet up with your group and begin the exploration (or interactions). Everyone starts with 2000 Pokedollars.

New Point Landing: A semi-large port city designed to welcome any visitors to the Korova region.
Major areas include the docks and the "Grand Store" a 4 floor store which sells a different thing on each floor. travel items and food on first, medicine and vitamins on second, clothing on third, and entertainment items (toys, technology, etc) on the fourth.

Encounters (reminder, this is just to get an idea. Not necessarily the only thing.): Only encounters are fishing and those are
Goldeen, 90%. Krabby, 10%

The ride to Korova had, for the most part, been an uneventful one. Mostly. The Poliwag behind Kanon Suzuki, following her in small hopping steps, would be a testament to a big part of why this trip wasn't entirely uneventful. Kanon's very first Pokémon partner that she could truly call her own, affectionately named Bubbles, followed faithfully in Kanon's wake, though he took care to avoid bumping into other people or Pokémon along the way. Kanon was on the search for her partners. Her human partners. The ones she didn't have nearly as loving a viewpoint of as Bubbles. Kanon would have much preferred to do her adventure in Korova alone, but it seemed there was a rule about having to be in groups of three due to danger or something.

At least tell us that BEFORE we leave home and set sail for Korova. Though I have to admit, the ocean waves have been nice to look at. Not that I don't miss having solid land under my feet or anything.

Eventually, Kanon found one of them. She couldn't quite remember the name, but the person in question - much like Kanon - was a girl. I think it started with an M. She could figure out her teammate's name some other time. More importantly, the girl was asleep. She had a Rhyhorn with her too. Kanon had always wanted to see one up-close, only ever seeing them in books and pictures before the boat ride, and she had to admit, they were quite the impressive breed! Based on the smaller horn, this one was a female, if Kanon was remembering what she read correctly.

"Well aren't you a pretty girl?" she asked. There was a small smile on her face, but it quickly went away before she added "Your trainer though... I hope she's not always like that. Take good care of her, okay?"

iU8EggM.png

Some time later, the boat bound for Korova had landed. The first town she caught a glimpse of upon landing didn't seem as welcoming as she'd imagined it would be. Especially if Korova was recruiting new trainers to take their Pokémon League challenge. Then again, it didn't seem like the most impressive region in the world to begin with. Maybe she was just being overly critical.

"If we don't leave, that will defeat the point of coming here to begin with." Kanon wasn't sure about the boy and girl she was teamed up with, but she wasn't about to ride here all the way from Hoenn where she was quite content, just to not do the thing she came here for. "Though mom and dad said to be nice on my trip to Korova, so... nice to meet you, dockmaster." The friendly tone in Kanon's "nice to meet you" was obviously forced. Truth be told, she wanted to get out of this town and start exploring. There was bound to be so many different kinds of Pokémon here that she'd never seen or heard of before, that sticking around in some dingy old town was just wasted potential for every second they spent here. "I'm Kanon, from Hoenn, and these two are..."

Right, I forgot their names.

"...my traveling partners whose names I've already forgotten. What were your names again?"

As the waves rocked, Oswald could feel the contents of his stomach flow with it.  It wasn't as if he were getting seasick or anything, he had earned his sea legs long ago.  Rather, this was the real deal!  His first assignment as a Junior Interpol agent!  Chills were running through his body at the mere thought, which was a strange feeling combined with the uneasiness of his stomach.  Something he hadn't realized beforehand was that he was to travel alongside two other trainers, ready to take on the new region for themselves.  Oswald wasn't too keen on the idea...perhaps they would just drag him down, and pull him away from his true objective.

He looked out a porthole to see a girl and her Rhyhorn, the girl laying against the handrails of the cruiser.  As the girl almost fell off, Oswald's instincts made him jump up in a desperate attempt to shove out of the room and try to save the girl, but he soon calmed down seeing the girl caught by her pokemon.  They must've had quite the bond for her pokemon to react so quickly like that.  It was clear who the more responsible one of that pair was.  Cooling down, he sat back down in his seat.  His fleeting adrenaline had ceased his nervousness, but now he was all shaky.  Making sure the girl was still alright, he looked out of the porthole again to see another girl join in.  Somehow she seemed familiar.  This one had a poliwag in tow as well.  Wait...two girls...one with a Poliwag and another with a Rhyhorn.  One comatose after having a near death experience, and the other staring in awe of her pokemon...

THESE WERE HIS PARTNERS?!

After the realization, the unsettling feeling returned to his stomach.

Some time had passed before Oswald could feel the ship stop at the harbor.  Everyone was let off the ship by who was presumably the captain of the vessel.

"Quite unlikely.  This trip is business, not pleasure."  That last sentence could also have been phrased a little better.  His Detective instincts were ringing off the charts, but he ignored the phrase as a simple measure of confidence in the pleasantries of the region.  As soon as he hit land, he threw out his pokeball, releasing Archie from it with a brilliant flash.  The Mareep stretched out, static electricity visibly rumbling on the surface of his wool.  Oswald knelt down and tussled Archie's hair, before walking in front of it and prompting his true partner to follow him.  From there, he could see the two girls again.  The one girl was still asleep atop of her Rhyhorn, with no enthusiasm whatsoever.  At least the other one was conscious.  It seemed she was still talking with the captain.

"...my traveling partners whose names I've already forgotten. What were your names again?"

Oswald pinched the brow of his nose.  Did these girls not even read up on who they were going to be travelling with?!  Oswald had done extensive background checks beforehand, just to see who he was dealing with.  The one that was referred to as Naomi Revuer, the girl with the Rhyhorn, was the daughter of some notorious thieves in the Kalos region.  Oswald didn't think anything of that really, just inopportune circumstance.  But something in the back of his mind wondered if those thieves had passed on their conniving ways to their daughter.  Maybe this whole sleepy girl thing was a facade.

The other girl was nothing too special.  Kanon Suzuki from Hoenn.  Her file was much less extensive than Naomi's.

Oswald snapped out of his deep thinking, realizing he had yet to answer Kanon.

"Oh!  Yes!  My name is Oswald Lewinsky!  It's a pleasure to finally meet you both!  I would've introduced myself sooner, but it seemed you were both busy."  Oswald politely waved to both girls, still unsure if they were going to be positive assets on this journey.  Archie also let out a boisterous cry, greeting the two girls and their pokemon, alongside his trainer.

"...my traveling partners whose names I've already forgotten. What were your names again?"

Naomi blinked, looking up from her position draped across Princess's head. The girl, had she said her name Naomi wasn't sure, wanted to know their names. It'd probably be easier than trying to guess who "Hey you" was.

"Oh!  Yes!  My name is Oswald Lewinsky!  It's a pleasure to finally meet you both!  I would've introduced myself sooner, but it seemed you were both busy."

It took the boy a while to answer, maybe he was like Naomi, and was sleepwalking up until then. Wouldn't that be nice? They could nap their way through this journey together.

Oswald. Ozwald...Ozzzzz..zz..zzz.....Princess gave the girl a shake, bringing her back to the land of the awake. "M'name's Nomi." Naomi mumbled, butchering her own name in the process. Oh well, sounded close enough, that should be good.

She patted her Rhyhorn's head. "And this pretty girl's Princess. Say hi Princess."

The Rhyhorn greeted the two with a rumbling noise.

The Dockmaster seemed to have been listening as they spoke. "Kanon, Oswald, Nomi, welcome again, if there's anything you need feel free to ask, for I know this city like the back of my hand!"

Naomi looked around, only half interested in her surroundings. The dock was more or less deserted, beyond the groups who had left the boat. There seemed to be, in total, 5 separate groups. Though only two of them had actually bothered to approach the Dockmaster, including her own.

At the end of the dock, where several concrete steps led into the city proper, a small figure was standing, staring at the groups.

Naomi nudged Princess in the direction of the person, wondering what they were doing. As she got closer she could tell they were young, no older than 12, with a baseball cap on backwards and a tuft of black hair poking out through it. They were wearing a white and yellow striped shirt and a pair of blue shorts.

bgm

They pointed at Naomi as the girl got near, and proclaimed in a loud voice. "I'm Zoe, and I'm going to show you why shorts are the best for Pokemon battles!" With that rather odd statement, the...girl(?) sent out a Rattata. The small rat Pokemon took a battle stance, chittering at Naomi, though it looked nervous in the face of the large Rhyhorn.

Naomi just lay there, in confusion, as she watched this happening. "Oh...is this a Pokemon battle? I dun wanna, t'soon..."

Zoe didn't expect that, but she continued to stand her ground. "Well one of you is gonna fight me!"

[spoiler=OOC]Ohshit a Trainer Battle. For this one either of Naomi's group can choose to take on the battle. And since its not an "important" NPC they can feel free to write the battle as they wish, as long as they make it make sense and don't just insta-win.

Youngster Zoe: Experience level, low. Had a handful of battles against people arriving at the docks, lost most of them.

Team. Rattata, Level 7, Guts, Tackle, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Focus Energy

The wind in her hair. The smell of the sea in the air. The rocking motion of the boat as it bobbed through the ever flowing tide of the water. The sounds of the waves from below and birds from above. All of these were noticed and mentally recorded by the purple haired girl as she had stood by the railing of the boat, experiencing it all...as she had been for the past few hours. Having heard that they were approaching land, the girl had been far too eager to merely stay inside, and instead had kept her eyes glued on the coastline, watching it grow ever closer with each passing moment. The girl could be seen by all with a wide smile on her face, the lack of care for her windswept hair only adding to how obvious her thrill for this journey was.

As the girl was staring at the horizon, from her hood passerbys could see the head of a small ember rabbit peaking its head up an about. The rabbit didn't seem to be all that amused with its current situation, and with a sour face kept looking back towards its trainer and towards the ground. While normally the Lepash would've hopped down itself, it found itself slightly nervous in doing so, being right next to the ocean, and merely stayed put. Every now and then, the fire type would jab at the back of the girl's hoodie, trying to get the girl's attention, though quit when she had responded with, "I know right, Rus? I'm so excited I hardly contain myself too!" Making the closest noise to a sigh as the pokemon could, it merely nestled back in the girl's hood for the remainder of the trip.

As the ship had finally docked, the girl jumped with excitement, shouting, "we're here, we're here! C'mon Rus!" The rabbit had been jostled out of the hoodie by the girl's springiness, and rolled across the deck, getting itself back onto its feet. Looking slightly annoyed, the rabbit didn't do much but hop after the girl as she began to jog across the ship to the stairs. However, it had appeared there was a bit of a line getting off the ship, and so, jogging in place the girl merely waited until the stairs were clear. Turning to her pokemon, she gave a nod, before running down, the Lepash scampering after her. Jumping off the ramp that connected the boat and the dock, the girl said, "land hooooo!"

As she did, Rus had caught up with her, only for the duo to be greeted by a man of such dignified facial hair she couldn't help but stare in awe at them. All the same, she said, "thanks dockmaster man! This is my first time here, but I can't wait to see what your town has! Well, come on Rus let's-" the Lepash jabbed at the girl's leg, causing her to stumble a bit before looking annoyed and saying, "what was that for?" The fire type directed her attention back to the boat. The girl looked at it for a moment, suddenly feeling like she was forgetting something. After a second had passed she said, "oh right! Man, I can't believe I almost got started without them. Well, I guess we gotta wait around for those slowpokes first." The 'slowpokes' she was referring to were two different people she had met on the boat.

The first was a really pretty girl from Kalos, who had gone by the name of Genevieve. The other was a man who looked like he knew the rougher sides of the streets like the back of his hand, by the name of Ivan. Jackie had seen them both on the boat, and knowing that they were to form traveling groups, figured that the both of them were so polarizing in appearance, one noble and one thuggish, and likely skills as well that they would make the most ideal of traveling companions! So of course she pestered them until they agreed. However, she had split off from them earlier today, simply being caught up in her own excitement, and stood with the dockmaster waiting for them to come.

"Good girl, Etoile!"

Genevieve sat in her cabin, watching her baby Popplio do a nose-stand flawlessly, clapping. Etoile gave a high pitched, happy bark in response, overjoyed to be praised by her 'mother'. With a small giggle escaping her, Genny snapped her fingers, and the sea lion pushed off the ground, a ring of water now spinning around it as it landed on its hind fins, front fins spread wide with a closed-eyed smile on its face.

"Ooooh, you are just so perfect!" Genny squealed, scooping the pokemon up, causing the Aqua Ring to fade. With another happy bark, Etoile nuzzled against her trainer, enjoying the tight hug. "But now it's time to get ready, my little papillon. Our adventure is about to start... and don't you think we should look the part?"

Genny placed the Popplio on a small bench as it nodded in response, smiling down at the baby. Producing a special brush, she began to gently groom Etoile, softly humming a tune, just as she did every time she groomed Etoile. The Popplio began to vocalize in harmony with Genny as she was brushed, the cabin full of the soft sounding music. After Genny was content with Etoile's grooming, she lifted one of the sea lion's ears, placing a clip on it, resembling the pink star that a Primarina would wear. Turning Etoile to the cabin's mirror, Genny smiled wide.

"Doesn't that look nice?" Etoile lifted her front end, clapping her flippers and barking, eliciting a giggle from Genny. With a soft pet on the head, Genny picked Etoile up and placed her on the floor, nodding. "I'm glad you like it! Now, Mommy needs to get ready, too... Want to help her out?"

With a quick yip, Etoile shot over to the closet, gently tugging on a dress hanging in there. It was a deep blue, shimmering as it moved, with a bit of frill around the hips and chest, with an average length cut up top. The wrists of the dress had pink shell bracelets attached, and there seemed to be a pearl tiara hanging around the top of the hanger. Genevieve frowned as the Popplio tugged, shaking her head.

"Etoile, I told you... We can't wear that one to adventure, only for big occasions. You don't want to get the pretty dress dirty, do you?"

The Popplio let out a sad whimper as it let go of the dress, slumping down and flashing big, wet eyes at her mother. Genny knew that look; she was pouting. While Etoile was a well behaved pokemon for the most part, Genny realized she may have spoiled her a little bit. Normally, she would have caved in at that look, giving the baby exactly what it wanted... But this time was different.

"I'm sorry, papillon. We have to save that one. I'll wear whatever outfit you pick out, but not that one." Genny tried to rationalize, but the Popplio turned away, giving what seemed to be a huff in response. With an exasperated laugh, Genny walked over, and picked Etoile up, though the pokemon refused to look at her. Producing a treat and offering it to the Pokemon, she continued "Mommy promises she'll wear it soon, but not when we're out in the wild, okay?"

A sad bwark followed, followed by Etoile taking the snack, almost swallowing it whole.

"Then let's look again and decide, alright?"

-----

"Hello, and welcome...to Korova! I got word of your arrival and sallied forth to greet you! I am the dockmaster here, and I wish to be the first to welcome you all to my fair city, the jewel of this region, in my eyes at least, New Point Landing. I'm sure you'll find it accommodating to your needs...You may not even want to leave, gwahahahaha!"

Genny was only just stepping out of her room, Etoile in her arms, as the boisterous man welcomed them from the front of the boat. With a quick glance, she recoiled slightly at the sight of his mutton chops.

"What an unrefined look..." She muttered quietly, her voice somehow different from before, almost as if she turned an accent on. She seemed to enunciate more, almost like she was trying her best to speak a second language. "Shall we go, mon papillon?"

With Etoile's bwark in response, she took a step forward. She now wore a baseball cap, much like trainers she had seen were wont to wear, with khaki shorts that stopped just above her knees, and a baby blue sleeveless blouse on. On her feet were a pair of tennis shoes, a Kalosian brand known for their designer wear. She strode forward in adventurer's garb, ready to embrace the day, though she was one of the last ones off. As she walked down the ramp, with Etoile looking about excitedly, she spotted a fellow new trainer she had met on the boat, who seemed to look back towards the boat even more excitedly than Etoile was looking at the land.

"Oh? Jacklyn, are you waiting on someone?" She asked as she stepped up to the purple-haired girl, looking slightly down at her as Etoile sat at eye level with Jaclyn. "It would not be moi, would it?"

Ivan yawned as he leaned on the rails, watching the flying Pokemon wiz by as the breeze blew through his hair. On the rails next to him was a Pancham, staring out in the distance. He was still in disbelief that they had been told that they needed to go in this adventures with partners, especially during and not before they were stuck on the boat. And here he was hoping to have his grand solo adventure through the region too! Finding teammates would of been hard, had it not been for a rather energetic girl who recruited him shortly after the announcement. She had gone to go find them a third, and he hasn't seen the girl since.

"I wonder where she went..." He ask to no one in particular, moving away from the rails and reaching into his pocket. The Pancham seemed to shrug, turning away from the scenic view and towards Ivan himself. Ivan sighed, pulling out a comb from his pocket and slicking his hair back with it. "I guess it doesn't really matter now does it?" He looked around to make sure no one else was listening in on him. Once he thought he saw no one in earshot, he turned back to Po. "We're ditchin' her and whoever else she picks up the second we can anyways." He spoke a bit quieter, although not by much, as he finished with his hair. He put the comb back away in his pocket, turning to the Pancham, which was nodded in agreement. Ivan gestured the small panda Pokemon to follow him back into his cabin as he started making his way towards them. "No ones getting in my way this time."

~~~
Eventually, the ship docked at their destination. "Finally." He simply said, laying down in the bed of his cabin. He got up, making sure to grab all of his stuff from the room, releasing his Pancham from its Pokeball. The Pancham yawned as it appeared, taking a look around it. "C'mon Po, we're here." Ivan said, putting on his jacket from the only thing that was neatly hung in the closet. The Pancham let out an excited chant, practically jumping as it followed Ivan out of the cabin. There were multiple people on the ship that were trying to help him out of the ship, but he quickly told them off as he made his way out of the ship. Or at least try to, as he got lost once or twice trying to.
"Hello, and welcome...to Korova! I got word of your arrival and sallied forth to greet you! I am the dockmaster here, and I wish to be the first to welcome you all to my fair city, the jewel of this region, in my eyes at least, New Point Landing. I'm sure you'll find it accommodating to your needs...You may not even want to leave, gwahahahaha!" Ivan was still technically on the boat when he overheard this, being one of the very last to leave the boat. He couldn't help but cringe at the sound and, eventually sight, of the middle-aged man that had greeted them with so much "enthusiasm" - they reminded him too much of those Trial "Helpers" they had back in Alola. He made his way down the ship, shaking his head on the way down.
Ivan spotted the girl that had recruited him early standing in the crowd, next to her another girl that he could only assume was his other partner. She seemed tall, having to crouch down to Jacklyn's level to meet eye to eye. "Yo! Jacklyn!" He shouted, walking towards the girl and waving. When he finally did walk up to the two girls, he turned to the taller one. "So this is our third, eh?"
"Oh! Yes! My name is Oswald Lewinsky! It's a pleasure to finally meet you both! I would've introduced myself sooner, but it seemed you were both busy."
"M'name's Nomi. And this pretty girl's Princess. Say hi Princess."
So Oswald and Nomi. And Nomi's Rhyhorn was named Princess. The dockmaster had said some more pleasantries - not that Kanon needed a tour, since ideally she'd be out of this town by tonight - and Nomi started up some steps, where she seemed to be stopped by a girl in shorts. Even from down here, Kanon could make out what the girl had said.
"I'm Zoe, and I'm going to show you why shorts are the best for Pokemon battles!"
Nomi, meanwhile, seemed to have no interest in a battle. "Come on, Bubbles," Kanon sighed. Kanon had never had a proper battle with another trainer before, and now seemed like as good a time as any to get her first one in. It would also be a good way to see just what Bubbles was capable of, though she had to admit, part of her couldn't help but worry about the Poliwag's safety. He should be fine, Kanon mentally assured herself, with a confident nod. Bubbles had plenty of time to recover during the rest of the boat ride to this place, and that girl doesn't seem all that great of a trainer. We've got this. I hope.
"Well one of you is gonna fight me!"
"I'll do it," Kanon announced, stepping up to Nomi's side. "But for that matter, you should know better than to blindly challenge people who only just set foot on Korova. Not really the considerate type, are you?"
"I'll do it, But for that matter, you should know better than to blindly challenge people who only just set foot on Korova. Not really the considerate type, are you?"
Naomi, with monumental effort, turned her body to look over at the girl who had accepted Zoe's challenge. She looked...determined. Naomi figured this one would be the one she'd most have to worry about making her do things.
Hopefully Naomi could teach her to relax a bit more.
Zoe seemed annoyed at Kanon's response. "I have to, only the strongest should come here, y-you're the inconsiderate one!" The young girl had literally used the "no you" argument without any hesitation.
Also without hesitation she called out to her Rattata. "Quick Attack, go!" And the rat Pokemon launched itself at high speed, ramming into the Poliwag.
Naomi spoke in the general direction of Oswald without turning to look at him fully. "S'pose we should jes take a nap."
The Dockmaster clapped Jacklyn on the shoulder. "That's the spirit!" He nodded at the newcomers. "I suppose this is your group, and a fine looking group it is, it reminds me of my own days of adventure."
The sounds of the battle could be heard and the Dockmaster looked back. "Aha, Zoe at it again. You folks might want to head on while she's distracted, else she drag you into her shenanigans as well!"
The girl's Rhyhorn gave off a rumbling snort sound.  The dichotomy between the two was bewildering to Oswald.  It was almost ironic that the one named princess was carrying around what seemed to be the more pampered of the two.  Oswald couldn't help but crack a smile at the thought, before remembering his previous thoughts of the girl's heritage.  HIs smile quickly turned business serious.  He turned to the dockmaster and nodded politely, before he followed his partners.  Oswald walked ahead of the others...they seemed to be much slower than him by a long shot...already a poor sign of things to come.  Before they even reached the steps that lead off the dock and to the city, he could hear the shaky battle cry of someone ahead.
"I'm Zoe, and I'm going to show you why shorts are the best for Pokemon battles!"
Before another word was said, the girl threw out a Ratata.  It looked rather weak, prompting Oswald to look up at the girl, questioning her sanity.  That wasn't fair of him though.  It just looked to be an excitable youngster, ready to take on the world.  Maybe this kid had even more experience than him when it came to battling.  After all, the only practice he had with Archie was practicing commands in the training room at the academy.  Was he nervous to send Archie out into battle now?  He hesitated for a moment, waiting for the others to see if they would be willing to take up the challenge.
"Oh...is this a Pokemon battle? I dun wanna, t'soon..."
Oswald's heart sank a tad.  That was one down.
"Well one of you is gonna fight me!"
"I'll do it," Oswald let go of the breath that he had been holding in til just now.  "But for that matter, you should know better than to blindly challenge people who only just set foot on Korova. Not really the considerate type, are you?"
Oswald looked onto the battle scene, watching the Ratata burst out the gates with a quite literal Quick Attack.  Of course!  He had to see an actual battle firsthand before he could get into one of them himself.  He nodded smugly, thinking that this was the correct answer all along.
"S'pose we should jes take a nap."
Oswald looked to the side at Naomi, atop her Rhyhorn.  Weary of Princess, Oswald began to rattle the girl, trying to wake her up.
"Hey!  Shouldn't you be studying this as well?!  Wake up you pile of lazy bones, before you fall into the ocean again!"
As Jacklyn heard the female voice come from behind her, she didn't turn around to face the person, and said, "yeah. I'm waiting for you and Ivan to get off the boat." As she tapped her foot, she had a sudden look of realization, saying, "wait." Turning around, her expression brightened as she said, "Genneveevee! Glad to see you're as gung ho for the start of our journey as I am! Rad hat too. Now all we gotta do is- " she was cut off as a man who seemed less than thrilled to be here walked up to the duo. "Ivan! You made the perilous journey off the boat too!" She then realized she hadn't introduced the two yet, and said, "right! Genneveevee, this is Ivan, Ivan this is Genneveevee. And together, we're Team- uh, hm. Well, we'll figure that out later."
After shrugging that off, the girl then looked to the Dockmaster as he seemed to be nostalgic at the sight of her group. Jacklyn smiled proudly as she said, "we're more than fine. We'll be the best group out there. And thanks for the advice Dock Mister." Turning to the other companions of hers she said, "alright, shall we Susan fo-, no wait. That's not - Sally forth! There we go. Let's Sally Forth gang!" She merely pointed in a random direction that lead further into the town, unsure of both where she was actually walking to and just who this Sally person was.
"Genneveevee! Glad to see you're as gung ho for the start of our journey as I am! Rad hat too. Now all we gotta do is-"
Genny looked for an opportunity to cut in and correct Jacklyn's pronunciation of her name, but failed to do so, resulting in an exasperated, but kind, smile to appear on her face as the purple-haired girl excitedly spoke. When the girl paused to address the approaching Alolan trainer, Genny thought she had her chance... but his voice drowned her soft speech out.
"Yo! Jacklyn!" The man shouted, walking towards the girls and waving. He stopped and turned to look at Genny. "So this is our third, eh?"
The man before Genevieve... Looked dirty. Brutish. Wild. The slicked-back hair didn't help the initial impression, and Genny's eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she assessed him, squeezing Etoile in her arms just a bit tighter.
"Ivan! You made the perilous journey off the boat too!" Jacklyn named the man, "right! Genneveevee, this is Ivan, Ivan this is Genneveevee. And together, we're Team- uh, hm. Well, we'll figure that out later."
"Nice to meet you, Ivan. My name is Zhen-nuh-veev," She put emphasis on the pronunciation as she extended her right hand, her left still holding Etoile to her body, "Not Jahn-vee-ev, like some girls. Though, what is this talk about us being a team? I do not recall discussing who I would be travelling with..."
Though she put on a sweet, genuine smile, she did not trust the man before her. He seemed like a punk, one of those trainers who often had pokemon like Scraggy and Scrafty with them... But unbeknownst to her, she did share one common goal with Ivan; she had no interest in travelling with him or Jacklyn. The excitable girl would likely get her dragged into trouble, and she didn't seem like the most... focused person. She had to break things off as tactfully as possible.
"I thought that we would be assigned groups by the tourism indus-"
Jacklyn had alredy seemingly lost interest in the introductions, turning to suddenly appearing Dock Master.
"we're more than fine. We'll be the best group out there. And thanks for the advice Dock Mister. Alright, shall we Susan fo-, no wait. That's not - Sally forth! There we go. Let's Sally Forth gang!"
Resisting the urge to groan, Genny let out a sigh with the slightest hint of exhaustion. She turned to face Ivan once more, tilting her head and closing her eyes as she smiled warmly at him.
"Well, we'll figure that out soon... Shall we follow her, monsieur Ee-vahn?"
"Ivan! You made the perilous journey off the boat too!" The girl greeted as excitedly as she had been on the boat as he arrived. The first thing he noticed about the new girl - Genneveevee was apparently her name, although he had a suspicion this was wrong - was that she was a lot taller than he'd expected her to be. In fact, as she stood up completely, it became clear to Ivan that she was in fact taller than he was. Not by much, but it was definitely a surprise. The second thing he noted was the judgmental jibe he was getting from her as the two looked at each other. He didn't blame her, nor did he care - if anything, this was ideal for his plan.
"Nice to meet you, Ivan. My name is Zhen-nuh-veev," Whatever she thought of him, it seemed like she intended to keep things civil for now as she extended her arm out. The way she spoke rubbed Ivan the wrong way, reminding him of how the elite spoke. "Not Jahn-vee-ev, like some girls. Though, what is this talk about us being a team? I do not recall discussing who I would be travelling with..."
Without changing his cold demeanor, he hesitantly accepted the girl's handshake, not accustomed to even his own greeting from back home, let alone this handshaking business. "Likewise, Genny." There was no way in hell he was going to be saying Genevieve each and every time he wanted to talk to her. He turned to Jacklyn, who had already started on without them. She seemed confident about their group being the best... it almost made him feel bad for wanting to leave. But then he remembered the other person in their group, and any doubts that were forming vanished.
"alright, shall we Susan fo-, no wait. That's not - Sally forth! There we go. Let's Sally Forth gang!" He could hear a sigh coming from his right. Genny didn't seem quite so eager to be in this group either. Good.
"Well, we'll figure that out soon... Shall we follow her, monsieur Ivan?"
He took a look at the other group that were occupied with the girl and her Ratatta. He chuckled, glad not to be them, before turning to where Jacklyn had marched onward. "Gotta make sure we don't lose her, ye?" He answered, before walking towards the excitable girl.
"I have to, only the strongest should come here, y-you're the inconsiderate one! Quick Attack, go!"
As the name subtly hinted, the Rattata's Quick Attack was indeed quick. Quick enough to knock Kanon's Poliwag off its little feet, having caught the creature off-guard. Kanon barely had time to notice it was moving before it had already struck Bubbles, before scurrying back to its trainer's side. "Are you alright!?" she blurted out toward Bubbles on impulse, before casting a glare in the opposing trainer's direction. No, this is what Pokémon battles are. I kind of want to kick that girl in the throat, but she's just doing the natural thing to do. I need to get used to this kind of thing; it will probably happen a lot in the future. For now, Kanon put her efforts into not lashing out against the Zoe girl who couldn't soup up a better comeback than "no, you".
"Alright," Kanon started, propping Bubbles up onto his feet. "I'm not really sure what you can do, but now would be a good time to show it off." Bubbles in turn responded by puffing up its chest, taking a deep breath, then exhaling with a stream of water aimed at Zoe's Rattata. The stream hit the rat square in the face, getting Zoe's Rattata's face wet and causing the creature to reel back a bit from the impact. Kanon nodded assuringly. That was a decent enough way to fight this thing.
Zoe called out for her Rattata to use another Quick Attack, and similar to the last, it struck Bubbles... well, quickly.
"Shoot it with your Water Gun again." And Bubbles obliged, firing another stream of water at Zoe's Rattata.
As Oswald shook the girl, Princess gave him a look of...relief. She seemed to be glad she wasn't the only one who wanted to keep the girl from sleeping the entire journey.
"Hey!  Shouldn't you be studying this as well?!  Wake up you pile of lazy bones, before you fall into the ocean again!"
"Nn?" Naomi's made a noise, showing she was just barely aware of what Oswald was doing. "Nap over'ready?" She muttered. Her eyes were still closed and she wasn't entirely sure where it was she was sitting. Which had the unfortunate, though possibly not unexpected, side effect of her losing her perpetually precarious balance atop the Rock-Type Pokemon. With a yawn she stretched and slid to the side.
Which was right where Oswald was. And so Naomi promptly slide from Princess and landed atop of Oswald. She didn't so much as make a surprised noise as the two hit the dock. Laying atop him, Naomi slowly moved so that she holding herself above the boy. "Ello, what're ya doin down ere?" she asked in a groggy voice.
---
The battle between Zoe and Kanon raged on, despite her teammates somewhat comical situation. Bubbles Water Gun struck the Rattata mid-attack and knocked the small rat off track. It hit the ground a couple times before jumping back to its feet. "Ah, Rattata are you okay?" Zoe said. "Grrr, we can't lose to someone not even wearing shorts, Leer!"
The Rattata gave Bubbles a look, eyes flashing, and the Poliwag's defense lowered. "Now go, Tackle!" The Rattata ran forward. It wasn't running as fast as before but with Bubble's lowered defenses it would hit much harder than previously.
"Nap over'ready?"  The girl asked, groggily.  Oswald couldn't help but frazzle his hair a bit in annoyance.  This girl reminded him of a Komala or a Slakoth.  Her hidden ability must've been Comatose.
"Yes!  Nap Time is over!  Now it's time to study our first battle in Korova!"  What was this girl?  Still in preschool?  Nap time was for little children...not teenagers on their first Pokemon journey.  He stopped his rattling of the girls small frame to turn his attention back to the battle, as to not seem like a hypocrite.  Kanon's Poliwag, Bubbles, seemed to be holding it's own a bit, but Zoe's Rattata seemed to have the advantage of speed and offense.  Those Quick Attacks were really starting to whittle down Bubbles' Stamina.  Even Oswald could see that.  But Bubbles' didn't seem to be backing down from the challenge in the slightest.  As it's attacks hit, Archie could be heard baaing from the sidelines.  Oswald smiled at the sound of his partner cheering on Bubbles, and opened his mouth to cheer Kanon on, only for an unexpected weight to topple on top of him.  He fell to the ground with a thud.
After opening his eyes after the small fall, he could see that Naomi was the culprit.
"Ello, what're ya doin down ere?"
Oswald, now turning a bright shade of red, stared at the girl who was basically straddling him.  He seemed to be fuming as well, annoyed at the girl's grogginess, along with her ignorance.
"D-d-d-d-down here?!  I was perfectly upright until some little girl had to go and fall on top of me!"  The girl was small enough that Oswald was easily able to lift the girl up, and place her to the side.  Oswald picked himself up, and dusted himself off.  As soon as the red left his face, he offered his hand towards Naomi to pick her off the ground.  "Be more careful...jeez."  He said, looking away from her.
Bounding through the town of New Port Landing, the girl had an expression akin to that of a kid walking through a candy shop. Growing up in Castelia city, it wasn't as if she had never been around large and impressive buildings before. In fact, as far as a modern port metropolis went, she was pretty sure her hometown even beat this place out in terms of awe. However, all the buildings were new. They were made slightly differently, not all towered as high and Jacklyn had absolutely no idea where she was or was she was headed. The thrill of it all filled the girl with a giddy sense of wonder that was impossible for her to contain. While she had no idea where to head off to first, the girl pointed towards the largest building in the area saying, "there! That shall be the first stop on our adventure!"
Continuing onward, the girl and, presumably, her group eventually made it to the largest building in town. Looking at the sign, it read, "Grand Store." While it was a name that didn't inspire much awe, the establishment was a different story. "Onward!" She shouted, moving forward. Grabbing on to the two doors, she tried to push them apart, giving forth great effort. Though, the door only moved at a fixed rate, as it was automatic, that didn't stop Jacklyn from going through the motions all the same. "Success!" With the door open, the girl proudly marched in there, and was breathless at the sight of the great store. Whether or not the building was a mom and pop shop or a super mall mattered little. With so many new things around her, the girl had no idea where to start. Looking at the sign, she saw it read
"First Floor: Travel Items and Food
Second Floor: Medicine and Vitamins
Third Floor: Clothing
Fourth Floor: Entertainment
Roof: Photos, Snacks and Picnic Area"
Unsure of what to do, she turned to her two teammates and said, "so guys, where do you want to go first on our adventure!"
"Ah, Rattata are you okay? Grrr, we can't lose to someone not even wearing shorts, Leer!"
Ex...cuse me? That was Zoe's major concern? Kanon tugged briefly at the sleeve of her raincoat, not sure how to feel about Zoe's priorities. However, she knew one thing. "I dress for what's practical!" Kanon retorted. "Not that I'd expect somebody who has to rudely scrape the bottom of the barrel for newbie trainers to get that!" As Kanon finished her reply, Bubbles was met with a tackle from Zoe's Rattata. It seemed to hurt him quite a bit more than the previous ones. Bubbles once again fell from from the impact, and for a moment it looked as though he was down for the count. A quick blinking of the Poliwag's eyes, however, signified that he was still in this. Even if he didn't necessarily want to be.
"You've got this," Kanon encouragingly said to Bubbles. "Another Water Gun! I've got a good feeling about this one."
"D-d-d-d-down here?!  I was perfectly upright until some little girl had to go and fall on top of me!"
Naomi wasn't quite sure that's how it happened. Though she wasn't really paying attention so she could be wrong. It didn't really matter either way, she was on him, and he was having trouble talking, how it happened didn't change that.
She felt herself lifted and moved to the side. She slumped over and lay on her back, sprawled out with her arms and legs in an almost X formation as she looked at the passing clouds.
"Be more careful...jeez."
This caused Naomi to turn from the clouds to look at the side of Oswald's face. It took her a few moments to notice the hand, and thought it odd he was stretching it out without looking at her. "Careful, why?" She asked, grabbing his hand and using it to easily lift herself up. "Upsidaisy." She muttered as she did.
The girl seemed to stand awkwardly. As though she weren't used to standing up without leaning on something. She slouched, wobbled, and just looked haggard in general. However she was smiling, a big, goofy, grin plastered across her face. "Everythin worked out ya?" she proclaimed proudly. "C'mon, lesgo, fights done."
She wagged her shoulder in Kanon's general direction, and Oswald would see that the fight had, in fact, ended.
---
"Grrrr!" came Zoe's response to what Kanon said. "You're just a bully, a short-less bully!" She called out for her Rattata to do another Quick Attack and the rat rushed towards Bubbles, picking up speed and reaching the Poliwag moments before they were able to get out their attack.
However it was so close that the Poliwag was still able to launch the attack as soon as the Rattata hit them. The water attack blasted Rattata back and, when the Pokemon landed, it was unconscious.
"Aaah, no way, my shorts weren't enough!" Zoe called out, before giving Kanon her prize money and running off.
[spoiler=OOC]Kanon is victorious. She gets 200 Pokedollars and has reached about 3/4 of a level
Genny had followed after the excitable 'leader' of their 'group', thinking nothing of it at first... but she soon found herself breathing a little heavier. Jacklyn was incredibly quick on her feet, and keeping up with her proved to be quite the chore. Even with her experience bouncing around with her precious Sylveon or dancing with her darling Milotic, Genny didn't have the sheer energy that Jackie exhibited. As she got to the department store and found Jackie looking at it with wide eyes, she was panting, trying her beast to catch her breath.
Sensing Genny's discomfort, Etoile gave a small whine and rubbed its nose on her, doing her best to encourage her trainer. Genny flashed Etoile a soft smile, then took a deep breath, regaining her composure as Jacklyn spoke.
"so guys, where do you want to go first on our adventure!"
"Well, this establishment looks like the right place to stock up..." Genevieve responded in a slight mumble, looking up at the building. It seemed like this was a convenient place to get seperated from her two 'companions'. "Perhaps it would be prudent of us to split up and gather different supplies? Etoile and I can gather the medicines we need, I know at least that much... So you can leave that floor to us, non? "
Etoile yipped happily and clapped her flippers, her natural shimmer being apparent for the first time before Ivan and Jackie, excited to help out!
Ivan followed Jacklyn through the city, sticking close to the girl. He would of found the fact that his other companion was lagging behind, if he weren't overwhelmed by the sheer size of the buildings that hung over him. There was nothing like it back in Alola, and Ivan feared potentially getting lost in the concrete maze. Luckily, they eventually made it to their destination - a large shopping center of sorts. The building itself was immense, towering even the ones around them. The group entered the store.
"so guys, where do you want to go first on our adventure!" Genny had said that she was going to check out the medicine, while suggesting that they split up to gather supplies. This was a bit inconvenient with his plan, but for now he'd play along. Plus, if he were to stick with these chumps, it would be a rather good idea.
"I guess I'll cover food. Shouldn't be too hard to do." He bluntly stated, before making his way towards the elevator. As he did, he pulled out his Pokeball to release the Pancham that resided from within. The Pancham seemed happy to be free, although it was also confused by its surroundings. "C'mon Po, we're getting food for the road." The Pancham nodded, a grin on its face as it followed its trainer to the elevator.
"Careful, why?"  Oswald's hand interlocked with that of Naomi's.  Looking away, he was more easily focused on the tenderness of her hand, firmly grasping it and heaving her up.
"Isn't that obvious?  Or have you taken to many clocks to the noggin?"  Oswald said, still looking away.
"Upsidaisy."  This girl was helpless.  He finally looked over to her to see a big grin staring right back at him.  It was almost infectious, had it not been for the girl stumbling and bumbling all over the place.  The girl then rolled her shoulder over to the scene where Kanon and Bubbles were battling.  It seemed that Zoey had run away in defeat.  "Everythin worked out ya?" she proclaimed proudly. "C'mon, lesgo, fights done."
Oswald nodded, as he and Archie walked over to Kanon.  Oswald clapped rather loudly, and Archie began to hop and bound towards Bubbles.
"Good job Kanon!  You seem to handle your partner rather nicely.  I wish I was able to more closely examine your battling style...but someone over here decided to knock me over."  He rocked his head in his hand.  "Such a shame."  Archie began to inspect Bubbles as well, as if it noticed the Poliwag had grown stronger.  He began to baa with excitement.  "Seems Archie has taken a liking to bubbles...he's way too kind."  Oswald raised his head past where Zoey and Kanon had battled, and towards the city.  "Well...now that that's out of the way. shall we get a move on?"  He began to make his way for New Point Landing.  "Since you won the battle, I think it's up to you to decide what we do next, Miss Kanon!"  Oswald said with a smile.
"Aaah, no way, my shorts weren't enough!" Kanon stuffed the prize money Zoe had handed her into the left pocket of her raincoat, as the girl ran off.
"C'mon, lesgo, fights done."
"Let's," Kanon agreed, scooping up her precious Bubbles and carrying him in her arms. He took a beating during the fight with Zoe's Rattata, so she didn't want him to strain himself too much if walking would give him a hard time. Bubbles, meanwhile, seemed to have no real objections, content to be carried around without being stuffed into one of those pokeballs. Kanon then turned her attention toward Nomi, surprisingly not riding atop her Rhyhorn. She's probably injured too. Just in a different way. Like in her brain or something. She still wasn't too crazy about being forced into a Pokemon battle, but Kanon had to admit, she was in a bit of a good mood from winning. She opted to keep her brain damage comment to herself. This time, at least.
She took a moment to recap as she looked down the path and toward New Point Landing proper. Kanon was fine, Bubbles was hurt, Nomi was probably just stupid or something, and her Rhyhorn seemed to just deal with it. You could do so much better, Princess. That left the boy. Oswald. Keeping her forward movement going, she turned her head to look at him. Just in time too, as he wanted to congratulate her on her victory. At the urging of her Poliwag, she set Bubbles down as Oswald's Mareep approached.
"Good job Kanon! You seem to handle your partner rather nicely. I wish I was able to more closely examine your battling style...but someone over here decided to knock me over. Such a shame."
"It's not that I handled my partner nicely so much as I had to deal with a bottom-feeder that can't even get by from scraping off the bottom of the barrel."
"Seems Archie has taken a liking to bubbles...he's way too kind. Well...now that that's out of the way. shall we get a move on? Since you won the battle, I think it's up to you to decide what we do next, Miss Kanon!"
"We should find a Pokémon Center or something." Gesturing toward her own partner, Kanon commented "Bubbles took a couple good hits in that fight, so it would be good to heal him up." She then fished into her right pocket, and pulled out a single Pokeball. "The hard part will be getting him in here for it."
Jacklyn nodded enthusiastically at the girl's suggestion saying, "great idea Gennevvve- Genny. This way we can get back to adventuring with minimal time lost! Oh, but we should definitely take a photo to commemorate the start of our adventure, don't you think? So once we're done shopping we'll meet up back here, sound good? Good!" After hearing Ivan and Genny decide where they wanted to go and look she said, "well then I'll pick us some good travel gear. After all, adventuring without the proper gear is dangerous right? So leave it to me! Come on Rus, we have supplies to gather!"
With that, the girl started to take the floor by storm. Looking for different supplies, the girl first prioritized finding food. While she had managed to find various snacks and other things, the one that caught her attention above all else was trail mix. She was certain they were bound to find many trails in their journey, and thus it was perfect for the road ahead. Hearing a noise from the side, the girl looked over to see that the Lepash too had found a snack he had wanted, causing the girl to shout out, "Good thinking Rus! I forgot I needed to get pokemon food too." With pride in its finding, Rus began to grab more and more food, holding onto an impressive amount of bags in its mouth as it followed after Jacklyn. From there, she looked for authentic Korovan backpacks, picking out three for her team, only to then look for more things she needed.
Naomi gave a jump as Oswald clapped his hands together. Her eyes had been drooping and she was starting to nod off when the loud noise woke her up. Her new friend was telling her other new friend, Kanon, that he had wanted to watch the battle more but something about being knocked over? That was unfortunate, who knocked him over?
Naomi looked around and realized that they were the last people left on the docks, besides the Dockmaster who was watching them.
"Since you won the battle, I think it's up to you to decide what we do next, Miss Kanon!"
That made things easier, Naomi wouldn't know where to begin. How did people adventure? Her house was basically the only place she knew so she wasn't even entirely sure what a city was supposed to look like. She wondered if they all were this...empty feeling.
"We should find a Pokémon Center or something. Bubbles took a couple good hits in that fight, so it would be good to heal him up. The hard part will be getting him in here for it."
"To the heal place!" Naomi called out, moving forward at a meandering pace. She paused as she realized that Princess hadn't moved. "Wazmatter?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. Princess stared at the girl for a while and then Naomi's mouth opened up in a "o" shape.
 "Where's it?" She asked her companions.
The Dockmaster walked up to them, laughing. "I was wondering when someone would ask, here's a map of the town, the Pokemon Center isn't far from here, we thought it important to make sure any sailor's Pokemon got quick treatment."
Naomi smiled at the man and gave him a thumbs up before heading off where the map indicated. It was her first time reading a map, how hard could it be?
Ten minutes of wandering through side streets later they came across the building with the red roof and Pokecenter symbol. "See? Always going left DOES work." Naomi said. She had been oddly determined to keep the map, despite her struggles figuring out when to turn.
Upon entering the Pokemon Center they, at least those who are used to them, would find they look similar to most others. Unlike some more modern and updated regions the Pokemon Center didn't contain a Mart. However they did contain an area in the back where adventurers could rest, as well as a small lounge off to the side with couches, vending machines, and a television that currently was showing a weather report.
The lady at the center was familiar as well, the main difference being her pink hair was tied in twintails, and there were several trainers milling about, some of them other groups from the boat they had arrived on. Naomi was staring longingly at the couches and before long she headed over to one.
She only stopped when someone called out to her that her Rhyhorn was having trouble getting through the doorway. Naomi absently returned Princess to the ball and, giving the Pokeball a cheek-hug, flopped belly-first onto the couch.
The other group, led by Jacklyn, wouldn't have as much trouble locating what they needed. Though Genevieve would have an encounter during which, upon turning a corner, a man bumped into her.
He had long, red, hair, and was wearing a leather jacket. If one were to look at the back they'd see a symbol of what looked to be a flaming bird rising from a pile of skulls. He looked up at her and scoffed, grumbling about stupid tourists, and continued past. Where he met with another person, a woman with a similar jacket and red hair, though extremely short, and began to talk. She was laughing at something he said and he was obviously gesturing in Genevieve's direction.
They didn't seem to be causing any trouble but the other people in the area tended to give them wide berth.
[spoiler=OOC]So Naomi's group is at the Pokemon Center. The trainers from the boat won't say much, since this is how I'm justifying if we ever need to add the non-accepted people, so most of them are the other characters from the OOC.
And gave Jacklyn's group a small bit of extra, but feel free to just continue in your supply gathering. Try and figure out basically how much you're getting so I can tell you the cost. Items from game, for the most part, cost as much as they normally do.
