EARTH Fairy Level 4

0/2000

Effect: If your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand, while you control a monster with an original ATK of 0, except during the Draw Phase (Quick Effect): You can reveal this card; your opponent banishes that added card(s), then draws 1 card, and if they do, Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Zero Hero" once per turn.

In order to help those 0 ATK monsters make plays, and help Decks make some plays with 0 ATK. This card can force the opponent to ditch the card they add, but it gives them a draw. Afterwards, this card is Summoned. It is a free Summon, but it requires a monster with 0 ATK. It has high DEF for a Level 4 monster but no ATK either. It makes zeroes, heroes.

So you have to control a 0 ATK monster... but then if your opponent searches you can Special Summon this and you go +2 (banished their card, drew 1 card).

What's peculiar is that this triggers when your opponent draws a card during the Draw Phase. Seeing as how much advantage you get off of it (again +2 with a SS from hand) I don't think you would take the risk to wait for your opponent to search. Maybe put in "except during the Draw Phase" idk if that's worth it though.

Couple other more technical things:

  • Might make the wording "a monster with an original ATK of 0." rather than just 0 ATK, since you wouldn't run this in a Deck without other monsters with 0 ATK, and it would work on monsters that gain ATK in other ways. Idk just gives the DPR more options for the kinds of 0 ATK gimmick mechanics we could make for this to do something in the DPR.
  • I might also make it so it's just "If a card(s) is added from the Deck to your opponent's hand." so it's a bit more malleable in what it can do. With the (s) it can trigger against cards that draw multiple cards.
  • Maybe exclude "except "Zero Hero"" since if you actually control Zero Hero without that restriction, you could potentially fake them out, which would be kinda amusing. Leaving it in only turns the odds of that down from 1% to 0%, so there's no real point in keeping the restriction thinking people will just run this willy-nilly in any Deck hoping to draw 2 and using their Normal Summon for one of them.

What's peculiar is that this triggers when your opponent draws a card during the Draw Phase. Seeing as how little you would actually run this

Revised to allow disruption with itself on the field. Also changed effect to make it go for multiple cards instead of one, making it more versatile. Also added "except Draw Phase" to prevent from activating for normal draw.
