Assault Mode Activate (Normal Trap Card)
Tribute 1 face-up Synchro Monster you control; Special Summon, from your hand or Deck, 1 "/Assault Mode" monster with the same Type but is 2 Levels higher and whose ATK/DEF is exactly 500 higher than the Tributed monster's original ATK/DEF.

This card was never good, EVER, but I always thought the concept was so cool. You Synchro Summon your best Synchro Monster but its about to be destroyed by battle or card effect, however you activate "Assault Mode Activate", then your monster gets more armor (2 Levels higher and 500 more ATK/DEF), a better version of its effect, and if it would be destroyed on the field, you can Special Summon its original form. Of course Konami screwed that up royally off the bat by making it so that you could only Special Summon the /Assault Mode monster from the Deck which means you run the chance of bricking your hand if you run multiple copies of that monster and this card. Well no more, I think I just fixed that problem and even added something to this card to make it potentially competitive (yes its still a Trap but whatever). The first and best part of this re-errata is that you can Special Summon said /Assault Mode monster from the HAND or DECK so you no longer brick your hand and can now use Assault Teleport with that monster and Night Wing Sorceress for faster combos. The other change I made that makes this card more playable is it no longer requires monsters by name to activate which I made for the purpose of incorporating any direct counterparts that any of the Synchro Monsters that can become /Assault Mode monsters have. For example, if you control Stardust Spark Dragon instead of the normal Stardust Dragon, it attacks and your opponent activates Mirror Force then you chain Stardust Spark's effect to protect itself. After that attack, with this re-errata you could Tribute Stardust Spark to Summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode because Spark and the normal Stardust are counterparts of each other so it still makes sense to play this card with Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode.
