Bandai Namco revealed the latest entry in the Gundam Breaker series with the announcement of the appropriately-named New Gundam Breaker. The Unreal Engine 4-powered PlayStation 4 entry is coming to Japan and Southeast Asia in 2018, and Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed plans for a western release.

New Gundam Breaker will have players building their own Gunpla while breaking down enemies in battle, collecting parts along the way. There's also a new real-time customization system that lets you collect and add parts on the battlefield.*

A Gundam Breaker game that's getting a western release...Gundam Versus had my hype for a bit...but now this does even more!! Right now, not too much is known other than what is quoted above, however, more information is going to be released during a Japanese stream on Jan. 28th.

I've been a huge fan of the Gundam Build Fighters series in regards with the idea of Gunpla and using them for battle and from what I've heard, the other Gundam Breaker games have been quite an interesting play for some. The fact that we're getting a western release makes me even more excited.

as somebody who's wanted an english release of gundam breaker (that i don't have to import) fo so damn long. i fully support this game, and will likely pre-order if it looks to be at the same level of quality as the prior breakers.

Same. I've been wanting a Breaker game for so long and since Bandai Namco never decided to give it a western release, YouTube was the only place to get my fix.

My hype levels are through the roof right now!

Custom Robo?

It kinda looks oddly...clunky, but it seems cool.

Close, my dear Bovine.

Custom Robo and Gundam Breakers (and by proxy Gundam Build Fighters) are a little different, but they have a similar concept. I can see where you'd get the idea about it, but I'm excited.

And do remember, it's only the first glance we're seeing of the game atm. Some games usually are a bit clunky looking in some areas.
