5 Generic Cards [WRITTEN]

Hello, fine peoples!

 

I know that I've posted some cards that are fairly close to these (or posted these exact) ones before, but I wanted to know how they would hold up in today's gamestate, what with Links now firmly grounded in the game.  Anyone have thoughts?

Tactical Vanguard

EARTH ****

Warrior/Effect

You can Special Summon this card from your hand to your middle Main Monster Zone.

1800/1500

 

Simple spammer.

 

Cryo-Point Tornado
Quick-Play Spell
Target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; if that target was face-up: set that target, also, the target cannot be activated. If that target was a Pendulum card, Special Summon it to your opponent's side of the field in face-down defense position, but it cannot be flipped face-up. When that target leaves the field; banish it, and if you do, your opponent must discard 1 card.

 

Unique Spell/Trap hate that, like Cosmic Cyclone, doesn't destroy so as to stop any floating.  Also can help clog up zones.

 

Force Poltergeist

DARK **

Zombie/Tuner/Effect

During either player's turn, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: send this card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard; until the End Phase, if a monster(s) is Special Summoned with ATK greater than the original ATK of the target; change those monsters into face-down defense position.

1000/0

 

Limits/discourages your opponent's plays without actively stopping them.  Zombie tuner w/ 0 DEF for outside utility.

 

Negative Reborn

Quick-Play Spell

Discard 1 card and target 2 monsters in your Graveyard with different names: Special Summon those targets in face-down defense position but banish them when they leave the field.  You can only activate 1 "Negative Reborn" per turn.

 

A discarding spell that pays for itself a la Twin Twisters on a good day.  Works a bit like Scapegoat in utility I'd imagine.

 

IBaller

WIND **

Cyberse/Effect

If another Cyberse monster(s) is Summoned while this card is face-up on the field: You can Special Summon 1 "IBaller" from your hand or Deck.

0/1900

 

You field material, you get free material.  Opponent does a typical Link play, you get free material.

That's all it is, a simple spammer. Might see some play for those who still run instant fusion to make Rank 4's but overall not that great. Searchable by ROTA though.

Interesting, interesting. A bit too gimmicky and does a lot of other stuff as well. In a competitive setting, it wouldn't see play since it would be difficult to use effectively

So you're basically pushing Links with this card? I feel it's a bit too harsh, it should at least only be able to target monsters Special summoned from the Extra deck since a lot of Combo piece have very low ATK. Basically, another Maxx "C" that "discourages" going off...... (if you couldn't tell, not a afan of Maxx) punishes a few decks very harshly and others not so much

 

 

Negative Reborn

Finally, the Flip support we deserve!  A good card and does a lot for Flip decks, Use this during your opponent End Phase, get 2 monsters, Flip them up, get their effects and Link away or whatever with them.

If another Cyberse monster(s) is Summoned while this card is face-up on the field: You can Special Summon 1 "IBaller" from your hand or Deck.

0/1900

 

You field material, you get free material.  Opponent does a typical Link play, you get free material.

That's basically what every Cyberse monster does, Special Summon, good card, and combos with a lot of the other Cyberse cards
