My newest creation: Necrolords!
 
Yes yes zombies are cancer I know...I just love them! I can't help it! Anyway this archetype is actually only comprised of a few monsters with a variety of support cards. It's a Synchro Archetype with 1 XYZ monster that is sort of a connection to another archetype I'm working on: Holy Mecha.
 
The Necrolord archetype also is released alongside new Prophecy Breaker Support and another mini-archetype: The Reaper Archetype! The Reapers help fill out the main deck, while the Necrolords rule the Extra Deck.

 

This set also brings a Vampire Revamp with it. Enjoy!

Effect: When this card is Special Summoned: inflict 800 damage to your opponent. You can Special Summon this card from your hand while you control 1 face-up "Necrolord Zefra". When this card is Tributed for a card effect: Special Summon any number of "Flaming Skull Heads of Torment" from your Deck. Once per turn, Tribute this card: return 1 "Flaming Skull Head of Torment" from your Banished Zone to your Graveyard.

Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn. When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard it gains 400 ATK.

Effect: If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage (to your opponent). When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, it can attack twice during your Battle Phase.

Effect: When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, you can declare 1 level: all face-up Zombie-type monsters you control become that level until the End Phase. You cannot Synchro Summon a monster the turn you use this effect.

Effect: When this card is Special Summoned from the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Skeletal Vultragon" from your Graveyard to your side of the field. This card gains 500 ATK for every other face-up "Skeletal Vultragon" on your side of the field.

Technically this card is a part of my upcoming "Chaorrupted" archetype, which is a sub-archetype of my also upcoming "Chaos" Archetype, but it has compatibility with both Chaos and Necros.

Effect: This card is also treated as a "Necrolord" monster. This card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. You take no battle damage from battles involving this card. When this monster battles, destroy the monster it battled at the end of the Damage Step. Once per turn, Special Summon 1 monster from the Graveyard: It cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, it becomes Zombie-type, its level becomes 1, and its ATK and DEF become 0.

Skeletal Warrior and Berserker both need their Levels increased with consideration that they are far too good compared to monsters of equivalent Levels. Warrior needs to be moved to Level 4, and maybe reduce its original ATK. Or you can drop its original ATK to 1400-1500 and rest can stay.

 

Berserker, yeah, definitely nerf this one because it does break the 2000 ATK line and any Level 4 and under that breaks this boundary have restrictions or negative effects. You can keep its effects, but lower its Level to 4 and ATK to maybe 1800. Or push it to Level 5, so you can use it as material for Bram. What do you want to do here?

As for Pact, not liking how it's a technically better Soul Charge for Zombies, especially in the mid/late game where you don't lose as much LP as you would with Soul Charge, and can still attack.

All good feedback poiints. I'll rebalance and update the thread when its finished.

 

As far as a goal goes I want to create an archetype that can supplement Skull Servants so that they are better as a more combat-oriented Deck, while also making an archetype that can work well splashed into any Zombie Deck.

 

Frankly, I'm not so bound and determined to fulfill both of those goals to the letter, as I mostly made this archetype for fun. But I would like to make Necrolords a playable and enjoyable archetype.

 

Edit: Done! Skeletons weakened and Pact altered to be more original and (I think) less OP. Also added a card I 4got to the 1st time.
