Ritual Spell

This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Vendread" Ritual Monster in your hand. You can also Tribute monsters you control or in your hand, or send "Vendread" monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard whose total Level exactly equals the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. If "Vendread Chimera" or "Vendread Battlelord" is banished from the field, or is sent from the field to the Graveyard while this card is in your Graveyard: you can banish this card from your Graveyard and target "Vendread" monsters in your Graveyard whose total Level equals the Level of that monster; Special Summon those targets, but banish them if they leave the field. You can only each effect of "Revendread Revengeance" once per turn.

 

I couldn't help myself, the name is too perfect.

 

Even though the spell would be better suited to something for slayer, you can kinda make the arguement that Chimera and Battlelord are references to Sam and Sundowner.

 

But anyway.

 

The card is designed to be a perfect starter card for the deck, giving the big rituals a reason to be run (if only to be a pre-prep target), putting Zombies in the Grave to set up for other plays, and a lot of Vendread cards depend on others to kick off anyway, so giving them fodder isn't a bad thing. Sure, it encourages link spam, but it's not like it's worse than scapegoat tbqh. Plus, Vendreads are already equipped for Links anyway, so it all kind of melds together.
