Monster Reroll

[Normal Spell]

Roll a six-sided die, then you can choose to accept the result or re-roll the die a number of times up to the number of the result. When you accept the result or you rolled the die equal to the number of the result of the first time rolled the die: Activate this effect.

  •  Special Summon 1 monster from either player's GY whose Level/Rank is equal to the result of the last time you rolled the die, if possible. (If the result is 6, you can Special Summon any monster.) Immediately after this card resolves, lose 1000 LP for each time you rolled the die.

At its core, it's technically a more restrictive Monster Reborn that burns you if you get greedy and/or luck decides to be a jabroni and curse you with bad rolls. If you get a 6, then cool, you just lose 1000 LP and get anything you want. I mean, you do have Dice Re-roll or something if you need to (if that's even applicable), but it more/less depends on what both of you are playing.

It's gimmicky in application because of that reason; if opponent has stuff to revive, then cool. Most of the time, you probably can revive something, but it'll just take a few rolls.

Too bad it can't revive Links unless you roll a 6, but that's another matter.

(HAS VIETNAM FLASHBACKS TO ARCANA FORCE AND SIXTH SENSE)

The whole first half seems to be adding unnecessary complexity to an otherwise unique enough effect. One die role for the choice of a monster then taking damage equal to the result? Yu-gi-oh players sturuggle with reading effects and anything this complex would stump everyone. (seriously ive had at least 10 people not figure out how amazoness queen works, who has literally one line of an effect)

Now if you excuse me, i have flashbacks to suffer through.
