jotaxper3
Pot of Abundance Normal Spell Both Players draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Pot of Abundance" per turn. This is my first post, so i tried to not complicate myself with my more complex ideas, so i present a card with a simple effect that i had in my head for a long time. Feedback is very apreciated. Ultimagamer
Even though it does allow both players to draw cards, the fact that YOU can draw 2 cards right away for your turn is really strong. It's much like spellbook of the pot, where both players draw 3 cards instead of 2, but it suffers from the same thing. You get free cards during your turn to extend your plays / make that unbreakable board. maybe if it was something like, draw 1 card, then your opponent draws 2, and you can only activate it once per turn. That way it's not an inherent plus 1 /
Darj
Wow, this card actually got me thinking. I mean, the x2 draw is not that big if you consider Pot of Desires is a thing and the opponent drawing 2 as well makes this less desirable, but unlike Pot of Desires this can be safely run in decks that otherwise would have the risk of banishing their 1 or 2-of key cards in the deck through Desires. At the same time, while you could potentially draw more cards to establish that killer board, likewise you could end up giving the opponent hand traps to disrupt your setup, making things somewhat even, although the luck factor will be there.Overall IMO the card is fine, if only barely. At least until desires get banlist attention.
jotaxper3
Thanks to both replies they were very construtive. I wanted to make a card with a simple effect, because we see less of these cards, and with good reason because most of them are splashable in a lot of decks with good to great results. Maybe in a future i wll retrain this card to make it a bit more restrictive to the immediate benefit of the card.
