SecondSeraphim
Wanted to make some retrains of old dinos for a while now, and Link monsters gave me the opportunity I was looking for. Thoughts? Gilinksaurus EARTH/Dinosaur/Link ATK: 1400 / L1 Arrows: U1 Dinosaur monsterIf this card is Link Summoned, you may activate this effect: target 1 monster in your opponent’s GY; Special Summon that target to an opponent’s Main Monster Zone this card points to. If a monster is Normal or Special Summoned to the Main Monster Zone this card points to, you may target 1 Dinosaur monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only activate this effect of “Gilinksaurus” once per turn. Two-Headed Linking Rex EARTH/Dinosaur/Link ATK: 1600 / L2 Arrows: DL, DR2 Dinosaur monstersThis card, and Dinosaur monsters it points to, may attack twice per Battle Phase. Once per turn, the first time this card or/and each Dinosaur monster it points to would be destroyed, it is not destroyed. RaputāherudoEARTH/Dinosaur/Effect ATK: 1400 / DEF 800You can Tribute this card; Special Summon either 2 or 3 Level 4 or lower Normal Dinosaur monsters with the same name from your Deck or GY. You can only activate this effect if “Raoutaherudo” once per Duel.
Spyre of the Wolves
Ok, so here’s the thing. As a Dino player, I think these are VERY underwhelming and almost useless. Gilinksaurus‘ effect is a +1 for your opponent and the SS you get is a small make up for it. If anything, you should change the link arrow to down and have it destroy a dinosaur from field THEN SS so you can get the baby effects. As for Two-Headed, we have an Ultimate Conductor for the attacks. I do like the fact that it’s a Link 2 for Dinos though. I just feel like the double Attack is unusable because of UCT. You could make it a foolish burial effect, which would certainly help. Raputāherudo Is a slightly better Rescue Rabbit. I like this card actually. Sorry if I sounded harsh; Dinos are my life and I’d just like to see better links for them.
SecondSeraphim
Gilinksaurus is supposed to be a retrain of Gilasaurus though, so getting something off of letting the OP revive a monster is a fundamental part of it. Ultimately he would likely be used as a stepping stone for another Link monster since he can revive his own Material. I admit I had trouble coming up with Two-Headed. He's a retrain of Two Headed King Rex, who was a normal monster, and I went with double attacking just because of the whole two heads thing. I had considered having an eff where if he destroyed a monster with his first attack, he could double his ATK until the end of turn and then attack a second time. That way he could kill the mon Gilinkasaurus revived and still attack again at 3200. I was ultimately worried that it would be too powerful an effect for a Link 2 monster. Glad you like Raputāherudo. Spyre of the Wolves
I think you can still improve Glinksaurus to give you a +2“1 Dinosaur monsterIf this card is Link Summoned, you can destroy 1 dinosaur-type monster in your hand or your side of the field; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower dinosaur-type monster from your GY, and if you do, your opponent can Special Summon 1 monster from thier GY to a Zone this card points to. You can only activate this effect of “Gilinksaurus” once per turn.”So you destroy a baby and get the SS’s off of both effects.
