Gastral Archetype ~ Rituals from your best Nightmares

Hello, All! Today I bring you an archetype I thought up a whiiile ago: The Gastrals!

I got the idea while thinking about another idea I had before: what if there was a Ritual Field Spell? I thought it would be the coolest thing, and I expanded upon it to these guys. The archetype is based on Astral Projection, a sort of dreamlike out-of-body experience, and the noble gases! Being projections and gases, these odd monsters will return to your hand after they've been on the field for a while, but this won't you can still just Summon them back out! They are also accompanied by an assortment of equipment to help them out, and a very helpful friend that helps align their Projections!

The main playstyle is using the Field Spell to Summon the Gastrals from your Deck! During any Main Phase, you can Ritual Summon a Gastral just like any monster, and you don't need to worry about your field spell being removed - it is unaffected by card effects, but at the cost of paying life points if you do Summon a monster. The Gastrals all have effects that strengthen and protect each other, so the more you can amass, the stronger you'll be! The Spells and Traps all help with retaining board presence, and Chakraligner keeps your health up, so as long as you think smart, you can gas your opponent out!

Gastral Observatory
Field Spell
(This card is always treated as a Ritual Spell card.) Once per turn, during the Main Phase: you can reveal 1 "Gastral" Ritual monster from your Deck; immediately after this effect resolves, Ritual Summon that monster by Tributing "Gastral" monsters in your hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of that monster. Once per turn: You can reveal any number of "Gastral" Ritual monsters in your hand; shuffle them into the Deck, then draw the same number of cards. Unaffected by other cards' effects. During the End Phase, if you Summoned a "Gastral" Ritual monster using this card's effect, pay 1000 LP, or banish this card, face-down.

So basically "IRL Amorphous Persona.deck"

As usual my irl thoughts is busy so im gonna start with the Field Spell and the Rituals

Observatory: the deck keystone. Built in Advance Ritual Art and Mulligan effect is decent. Protection is amazing all around good

Helios: im just gonna generically say that return to hand effect of the ritual is thankfuly not much a restriction. Especially with the synergy with Field Spell Mulligan effect. Unique effect wise is not really amazing but decent with other protections.

Neos & Argos: putting this as the same review since this and Helios essentially the "same". Decent protection

Kryptos: recycle Draw effect is good obviously. Turning tributed ritual as next to summon

Xenos: permanent stat reduction is nice to topple big monster

Rados: its a nice addition to compensate tge deck trait for having suprisingly low stat.

Oganos: to be honest kinda mixed about this this card. Its doesnt protect you much as the first 3 given the format but if all 3 already present your board basically nearly uninteractive if not unkillable. I guess its fair for now that this deck not as spam happy so the advantage is provided on way latter plays

Thank you for your review so far! I'm a bit of a sucker for lore/reasoning behind the cards, and not just slapping a bunch of effects on a deck, so that's where the bouncing comes from. Since they are based on gases and astral projection, the idea was that they can't stay solid for too long, and thus return to the hand afterwards. Granted, I agree that the effects I chose are weird, but I wanted them to be simple but effective because of how easy it would be to Summon at least 1 of them

Well i have to keep my (often forgotten) promises

Chakraliner: additional field presence. But this card is much better to be used as reccuring tribute fooder that coupled as refueling your lives by a half of the Field Summon cost. Seems decent

Resonator: this along with the next 2 card for being able search chakraliner is nice and mini Avarice is welcomed in this deck since alot of your plays utilize the deck

Projector: additional body summon and recycle is nice given the natural limitation of the ritual summon using the Field once per turn only

Condensor: basically a huge OTK setup and nothing else, i guess is needed to outrun your opponent in life count? Not something i would run at 3 since its not really an advantage card if we ignore the 1st effect

Accelerator: well finally we have a removal, but its a risky one. Giving up the both player basically suffer -1 for it but we already have card that is better at the competion. And being kinda reccuring doesn't cut it for me IMO

Bond: another way to Ritual Summon, albeit more as an emergency on low field presence. It has nice recycle effect i supposed

Collider: unless im missing something here the cost of both effects is bit too high. While i see that you potentially fielding 2 monster easy but thats also in most scenario your only field presence. Omni-negate for any but inherent summons seems decent
