[...] Warriors that turn into Machine Type once they get their gear would be cool, though. [...]

Do I get to brag for calling it? I mean, it's not like it wasn't that predictable.

Also, AFAIK these are the first Link1s with upper left/right markers, interesting.

I don't really get why you can't use monsters with their same Attribute as material. I guess it's for them to not use a copy of themselves as material, but then, they could have used other restrictions. Still, I wonder if there is a flavorful reason for that.

ok so the main gimmick is to summon the link being your only monster throughout the game supported by Spell spam. if im not mistaken Rei the first card of the Link era for Opponent turn Link Summon no? Link Monster is pretty solid, being able to compensate  their low stat with stat manipulation effect on each along with tutoring the spell

Spell itself  seems powerful, 2 double removal, Search+Draw, 2 Monster Steal one being removal another being Breaktrough Skill for initial effect, Token generator

Field Spell search effect kinda unique as its "cost" end up the minus as effect. which probably can be abuse with send by effect clauses perhaps? float effect is neat though. Multi-roll basically Spellbook Judgement that also prevent opponent disruption for the ever important spells

good stuff

If memory does not trick me we did get a trap to link summon during the opponent's turn.

We can agree on this being the first solid Spell Speed 2 link summon.

It doesn't actually Link Summon, it's a Special Summon.

Anyway, an odd start, have not looked at the Spells yet, but the idea seems interesting. Also, first top left and top right, that's neat, even though they don't seem to do anything with that ATM. Also, first Machine Archetype that is going to use all Attributes? Maybe I'm forgetting something obvious here, but there are so many bloody Machine Archetypes that I can't keep track of them anymore.

Huh. It's liked Invoked, but instead of Fusions, it's Links, and from what I've seen, they mostly rely on Spells in the GY.

Link Monsters are weird, pointing only to opponent's field if placed in EMZ, and Rei's SS effect not counting as Link Summon is a bit disappointing.

Though one would always link summon them the regular way anyways, outside of chaining to removal and it being on the field during one's opponent's turn.

Know what I think would work great with this? Chain Beat. Not necessarily the backrow, but having a subtype of monsters (Thunderbird, W-U Rabbit, Kernael, Generation Fish?) that take themselves off the field long enough for you to use your Brandish Maiden Spells in rapid succession, then come back with the quickness and attack (preferably with Kagari) and hit for game.

Either that or Card of Demise, since the Brandish Maiden Main Deck-er can simply do its LINK SHOKAN thing on the opponent's turn as well after you activate and set your quick-plays, then profit off anything you couldn't initially Set-especially, again, Kagari).

Like, mark this for whoever starts running the Brandish Maidens, one of those two builds will be the way to go.

Dies to raigeki break

Monsters die if they are killed.

On topic: I assume the Links are supposed to "tag out" with each other a la U.A.s?  They do seem to have a "MP1 Summon FIRE to extend plays, MP2 Summon WATER to retain advantage" thing going on.  With their Continuous Spell, I assume that you can search a quick-play with WATER (Mecha Eagle Booster), activate it, then Set it again off the Continuous Spell's effect so that you have an unaffected, stat-reducing monster on the opponent's turn.
