Mutil-Roll sends the monster to the GY by effect, I ca already imagine it being used as an engine akin to Sky Iris, Dragonic Diagram, etc.

Overall, the Quick-Play Spells are generic, require no monsters in your MM Zones, and are empowered if there are 3+ Spells i your GY. I guess you can assist the latter through milling. I can't tell how effective this strategy can be if they appear to want you to rely on a single ED monster, and the Spells can be stopped cold by a Kaiju.

Hornet Bit, another way to get a monster, so they aren't completely useless in getting a board up, still hope for other MD monsters though. The boost seems odd, it's not a lot really and it will just be used as Link Material anyway.

Jamming Wave, opposite of Afterburner, but only on Set Spell/Trap Cards? That's not that great, even if you do get a non-targeting destruction as well.

Area Zero, weird first effect, you get to keep your card if you don't excavate the proper card. I suppose it's useful to get rid of cards you can't use ATM, and you can use the Token too if you want. Last effect is decent too, too bad Jamming Wave can't hit it though, and it has no way of targeting itself either.

Multi-Roll, well this can send it, so never mind! I suppose it's another way to quickly get stuff in the GY for the first turn when you can't destroy things I suppose. The last effect though, okay that's pretty crazy, sure you don't get the GY bonus, but oyu still get to replace all your cards and get the ones you want.

[...]

RoTA, Hornet Bit, Rei, Start-Up Engine, the field spell, not to mention upstart turns the deck into a 39 card deck (given that upstart is a free spell in one's graveyard).

1+3+3+3 = 10 ways of starting the engine, 7 of them setting up rei to revive herself to float one of the links into another link.

If anything the field spell hints at other main deck monsters (though not in this set), given that aleister's cards stated right away that a specific name is requried.

Edit: Multi Roll states Imperial Iron Wall would be decent, though I wish there would be a 1-turn quick-play version of that one.

Hornet Bit is completely generic, and the token it makes works for Linkuriboh, Link Spider, the Brandish link monsters, and Isolde. So uh... That's pretty neat.

as Black pointed out, you can also use it to summon the FIRE Brandish Link, which can re-add Hornet Bit, which lacks a hard OPT. Which, on top of a Warrior-type, gives you access to Machine-type as well. It's... a pretty dang good card. Also, Startup searches it for free, actually at a +1 if your deck has already put cards in the grave. That's pretty dang good if you ask me.
