The Plus archetype(OP) is part of a series of archetypes(OP) that may or may not work together.

There are only monsters with some being able to be played as spell/trap cards.

Some card effects are equivalent to cards currently on the band list.

Upstart Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

You can discard 1 card, then Special Summon this monster (from your hand) then, draw 1 card. (Your opponent cannot activate spell/trap cards in response to this effect.)

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

Easy to get out, hand neutral monster that will always be summoned, but, can still be trap holed. :(

 

 

Demise Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

Once per turn, you can reveal this card from your hand then, draw 1 card. During End Phase after this effect’s activation, discard cards until you have 2 cards left in your hand. If this card was discarded by this effect then, Special Summon this monster.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

Based off of card of demise but, more broken, not a spell, plus it can special summon itself giving you a monster as part of its effect.

 

Magic Counter Plus

Light

Lv 8

Machine/Effect

If this card is Special Summoned, draw 1 card. When your opponent activates a spell/trap card (Quick Effect): You can target the activated spell/trap card, negate the activation and destroy the target then, Special Summon this card (from your hand). This effect can only be activated once per turn. (Effects and spell/trap cards cannot be activated to negate this Special Summon.)

 

ATK/3000 DEF/3000

 

A nice hand trap that replaces itself in your hand with a card from your deck and summons itself. This monster will also always be summoned, but trap hole. :(

 

Exchange Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

During your Main Phase, you can discard this card then, add 1 LIGHT Machine monster from your deck that has 1800 ATK/DEF, 2400 ATK/DEF, or 3000 ATK/DEF then, draw 1 card. This effect can only be activated once per turn.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A search card that can grab your other plus cards out of your deck and is a +1 hand advantage.

 

Double Plus

Light

Lv 6

Machine/Effect

During either player’s turn (Quick Effect): You can discard this card to Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or GY that has “draw 1 card” in its card text then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/2400 DEF/2400

 

A nice hand trap that can give you a monster at any time plus you draw a card.

 

Negate Plus

Light

Lv 6

Machine/Effect

When your opponent’s monster effect activates (Quick Effect): You can target that monster then, discard this card to negate the activation and destroy that target then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/2400 DEF/2400

 

A hand trap to stop your opponent from activating monster effects plus you draw a card.

 

Destruction Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

You can set this card face-down in your spell/trap zone as a trap card (this card is not a monster while it is a trap card) with the effect:

When your opponent’s monster declares an attack: destroy all monsters your opponent controls then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A monster that is mirror force like trap card, but better since it targets all monsters they control plus you draw a card.

 

Typhoon Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

You can play or set this card in your spell/trap zone as a (Quick Play) spell card (this card is not a monster while it is a spell card) with the effect:

Destroy 1 spell/trap card on the field then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A monster that is a MST, but you get to draw a card too.

 

Trade-In Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

Once per turn, you can discard 1 Level 8 monster then, draw 1 card or draw 2 cards.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A trade in every turn while it is on the field. A bit op, but you do have the option of only drawing 1 card as well to keep with the plus theme.

 

Power Plus

Light

Lv 8

Machine/Effect

Once per turn, you can reveal your hand, if all cards you reveal have “draw 1 card” in their card text, draw 1 card. When you draw 1 card (except during your normal Draw Phase), this card gains 400 ATK/DEF until the End Phase. Only 1 effect of this card can be activated once per turn, and only once per turn.

 

ATK/3000 DEF/3000

 

When this monster is on the field, it gives a free draw or is a big 3400 ATK/DEF monster during either turn after you draw a card, which isn’t hard to do with all the spells/traps and hand traps.

 

Special Plus

Light

Lv 6

Machine/Effect

When your opponent Special Summons a monster, draw 1 card and banish the top 3 cards of your deck, face-down; then destroy the Special Summoned monster.

 

ATK/2400 DEF/2400

 

Denies special summoned monsters while on the field and can give you free cards at the cost of banishing your deck. Not a problem with this archetype though.

 

Greed Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

While this card is in your GY, except the turn it was sent there, you can banish this card then, draw 1 card.

You can play or set this card in your spell/trap zone as a spell card (this card is not a monster while it is a spell card) with the effect:

Draw 2 cards.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A monster form of pot of greed(What does it do?) which allows you to draw 2 cards from your deck. Also lets you draw 1 more time by banishing it from the graveyard just not the turn you played it.

 

Fake Counter Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

You can set this card face-down in your spell/trap zone as a (counter) trap card (this card is not a monster while it is a trap card) with the effect:

If your opponent activates a card effect or spell/trap card, negate the effect until the end of the turn. You cannot draw during your normal Draw Phase next turn.

 

(This card is always treated as a monster with the card text “draw 1 card”.)

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

Wanted to make a “fake” plus card that still fit the archetype requirement, but was a handy counter trap that negates spells/traps.

 

Evil Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

When this monster attacks, discard a card and banish the top card of your deck, face-down; you can draw 1 card. If you do not draw 1 card, you can draw 1 card banished face-down from either banish zone.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

Evil is meant to help get back cards that were banished by some other cards from the archetype. Also helps with controlling what's in your hand.

 

Override Summon Plus

Light

Lv 10

Machine/Fusion/Effect

2 "Plus" Monsters

You can Special Summon this monster from your Extra Deck by banishing 5 cards from the top of your deck and 5 cards from your hand, face-down. This monster’s Special Summon cannot be negated. This monster cannot be targeted by card effects. If this face-up monster would leave the field, banish it then, return the cards banished by this effect to your deck and shuffle it then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/4000 DEF/4000

 

The big boss with a big cost. Didn’t plan on this ever being fusion summoned, but this archetype draws enough I figured this monster would give the archetype the power it needed.

 

Asterisk Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Xyz/Effect

2  Level 4 “Plus” monsters

If a “Plus” monster you control would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz material from this monster instead then, draw 1 card. You can only use this effect once per turn.

 

ATK/2400 DEF/2400

 

An asterisk that closely follows the way the plus, but gives a +1 hand advantage while protecting your monsters.

 

Reverse Gravity Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

You can set this card face-down in your spell/trap zone as a trap card (this card is not a monster while it is a trap card) with the effect:

Change the battle position of all face-up monsters on the field then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A monster that is a trap card based on zero gravity plus you get to draw a card.

 

Tribute Plus

Light

Lv 8

Machine/Effect

While this card is in the GY, you can banish this card to Normal Summon 1 Level 5 or higher monster without tributing then, draw 1 card. This effect can only be activated once per turn.

 

ATK/3000 DEF/3000

 

Based on necroshade, but much better being any deck could use this and would more than likely be a banned or limited card with how helpful this is for getting out big monsters.

 

Desires Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

While this card is in your GY, except the turn it was sent there, you can banish this card then, draw 1 card.

You can play or set this card in your spell/trap zone as a spell card (this card is not a monster while it is a spell card) with the effect:

Banish the top 10 cards of your deck, face-down; draw 2 cards.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A monster that is a spell card based on pot of desires (bad pot of greed). Helps get more cards as well as can give 3 in total from all the effects. Banished cards again are not a problem.

 

Banished Draw Plus

Light

Lv 8

Machine/Effect

You can play or set this card in your spell/trap zone as a (Continuous) spell card (this card is not a monster while it is a spell card) with the effect:

During your normal Draw Phase, you can draw 1 card banished face-down from your banish zone instead of your normal draw.

 

ATK/3000 DEF/3000

 

Solution to banished, face-down cards. Allows you to draw from what this deck makes essentially is a second deck that isn’t every shuffled.

 

Copy Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 4 “Plus” monsters

Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card then, search your deck for 1 Level 4 LIGHT Machine monster with 1800 ATK/DEF and Special Summon it then, draw 1 card. The monster Special Summoned with this effect must attack this turn.

 

ATK/2400 DEF/2400

 

Gives you more monsters and a +1 hand advantage.

 

Counter Draw Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

When your opponent draws a card or cards (except during their normal Draw Phase) you can discard this card to send the card(s) drawn by your opponent to the GY then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

Keep your opponent from playing cards that draw or even pot of greed (or desires) and making them stuck forever, plus you get a card while they don’t.

 

Expeller Plus

Light

Lv 6

Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 6 “Plus” monsters

You can detach 1 Xyz material from this card (Quick Effect): Target 1 face-down card your opponent controls, banish the target, face-down; draw 1 card.

 

ATK/3000 DEF/3000

 

Denial of face-downs plus you can draw them with Evil’s effect.

 

Deck Burning Plus

Light

Lv 8

Machine/Xyz/Effect

2 Level 8 “Plus” monsters

Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz material from this card then, banish the top 3 cards of your opponent’s deck, face-down; draw 1 card.

 

ATK/3600 DEF/3600

 

Denys them their next three cards they would have drawn, can be added to your hand with Evil’s effect, and you get a card.

 

Level Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

When this monster is Normal or Special Summoned, you can make all “Plus” monsters you control level 4, 6, or 8 until the End Phase then, draw 1 card. You can only activate this effect once per turn.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

Makes it easier to get out Xyz monsters by adjusting your plus monsters levels.

 

Revive Plus

Light

Lv 4

Machine/Effect

You can play or set this card in your spell/trap zone as a spell card (this card is not a monster while it is a spell card) with the effect:

Target 1 monster in your GY, special summon it then, draw 1 card.

 

ATK/1800 DEF/1800

 

A monster that is monster reborn from your own graveyard and give you  a card. Broken, probably not with monster reborn being unbanned.

 

Cycle Asterisk

Light

Lv 9

Machine/Effect

You can Special Summon this monster (from your hand), by banishing 2 monsters you control and discarding 1 card. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 “Plus” monster from your hand or GY and draw 1 card or Special Summon 1 “Minus” monster from your hand or GY and discard 1 card (The card discarded cannot be the monster being summoned).

 

ATK/3200 DEF/3200

 

Based off of Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, not the plus archetype, but support for it and the minus archetype. Helps cycle monsters, can be hard to get out.


 

Hope this archetype is broken. Any thoughts on ways to make this more broken or should it be balanced and made a real archetype?
