Mirror Force

Normal Trap

When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Destroy all your opponent's Attack Position monsters.

Well, turns out Revolver's "all-powerful" card was none other than... Mirror motherfucking Force. We all got trolled, and Revolver is my new favorite character because of it.

This card is searchable with the new Diablos cards. It's still devastating when it lands, and now Fang of Critias is lit in the deck. I wouldn't discount it

In seriousness though the Elemental version other than the Light and the Dark ones is bit more conditional but better end result. Of course the OG is ready in any condition presented and Mirror Force Dragon exist

In other hand, i kinda like moments like this when anime character actually play irl staples instead "new card every draw that basically the same if not worse version of irl staples" which i think better to promote a possible print version more instead the seperate video showcase they often do.

That's the best part, though. There are 7 Mirror Forces for 7 Attributes, representing common things about their Attributes:

OG Mirror Force: LIGHT- very powerful, very straightforward.

Dark Mirror Force: DARK, obviously- tends to work in unusual or odd ways, but viciously effective in the proper situation. Also, banishing is usually a DARK thing.

Blazing Mirror Force: FIRE- burn damage, and a tendency to hurt the user in some way.

Storming Mirror Force: WIND- bounce effect central.

Drowning Mirror Force: WATER, again pretty obvious- often very conditional or picky as to how their cards work, but said cards are typically amazingly good when said conditions are actually met.

Quaking Mirror Force: EARTH- not usually immediately powerful, but often taking a very pragmatic and simple approach. It ain't fancy, but it gets the job done.

Radiant Mirror Force: DIVINE- just objectively bad, but really satisfying to pull off.

It's been 2 days since the episode came out. It's not OP's fault you're slow.

Although, it's a bit disappointing that it's Mirror Force. I thought it'd be something unique to his archetype!

This is why you always play SHS.

I used to be salty as funk about SHS at my locals. I genuinely considered siding Dark Mirror Force :(

By that logic, should OG represent divine?, since its were all others come from

The number of cards the anime has that are strictly outclassed by Waboku - one of the first cards, is just baffling.

Half Unbreak is probably the biggest offender of this, ESPECIALLY cuz it was Yuma's ace trap lmao.

Well, his deck is specifically stated by him and many others to be trash, and he is Passion Man and super sentimental about his cards, so I think it's kinda sorta justified... at least, it's justified to him. His budget is also probably 0¥.

fact is, this card against link monsters, (which revolver kinda hates) is a simply effective strategy. just like during yuya's duel where he used monster reborn, why make up a terrible new card that's more than likely never going to see use, when one of the oldest cards in the book can do the job perfectly well?

mirror force is well known for being one of the strongest battle traps (alongside it's elemental brethren) and it's reveal was as majestic as the troll face revolver was wearing upon flipping it.
