Dokutah Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 LC06-EN001 Goddess of Sweet RevengeLevel 6 LIGHT Fairy Effect MonsterATK 1800DEF 2000While you control no cards and this is the only card in your hand, when an opponent’s monster declares an attack: You can discard this card; destroy as many cards as possible your opponent controls, then you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck.Of note, this card is a remake of “Gyakutenno Megami”, a card best known for jamming the gun of Pegasus’ guards. Of what it’s worth, Gyakuten no Megami means “Goddess of Reversal/Turnaround”, which makes Goddess of Sweet Revenge a fitting remake, it literally turns the Duel around.Sauce: https://ygorganization.com/acegoddessrevengeforall/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 When you discard this card, you have to throw it casually over your right shoulder using your right hand (or left shoulder/hand? idk if the clip I saw on youtube was flipped or not) As for how good this card is, well you can see that Bubbleman was only viable to run because it was an easy free SS (while also being super searchable). Even when people did run Bubbleman, it was extremely rare that you'd get that topdeck moment of actually being able to draw 2 cards with it. This card has no such extra use that Bubbleman has, so its only value is as an incredible meme. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Atypical-Abbie Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Yes yes, this is the kind of stupid sheet I love, and the name is dumb too. I have no clue where it would be useful, Infernity? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Draconus297 Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Jesus, what a comeback card. "Oh, I'm topdecking? Let's just grab a card that flips the entire damn Duel on its head." Not likely unless you run a bunch of Spells or something, or you're playing Skystarray beatdown, but this is probably the best way to tell your opponent to go screw themselves. Hallohallo Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Holy sheet what a comeback card. I think Infernity would like this. Also, TCG are getting this card first? Did that jamming gun scene even happened in 4kids dub? Cuz you know... guns were removed from the dub. I need to rewatch the episode. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ryusei the Morning Star Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Just play cards to thin the hand. Like Light Pulsar Holy sheet what a comeback card. BatMed Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 Searchable with Benten and synergies with Snow. Got bad feelings about this one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
It's just that it's weird it's a TCG exclusive. People who only saw the 4kids version of DM won't get the reference. Searchable with Benten and synergies with Snow. Got bad feelings about this one.Fairy Tail - Snow, you say... This should be a fun combo. I can feel Snow will get hit in the next TCG list. Tinkerer Posted February 17, 2018 Report Share Posted February 17, 2018 I mean, yeah, but... then it puts itself on the field, right? If your opponent sees you ditching yourself down to 1 card + Snow, I'd think they'd know that something was up and would prepare themselves accordingly. Or they'd just leave you with Snow and this in hand knowing you can't really do anything to break whatever board they make. It's an interaction that I can appreciate for its silliness, but if one was actually going to commit themselves to using this, they might as well run something really stupid like, say, Card of Sanctity for the same purpose. Tribute it for 1400 damage, then summon this (after they attack), clear the board, and live your dream. Azuriena Posted February 18, 2018 Report Share Posted February 18, 2018 Can someone explain the synergy w/ Snow? I feel like I'm missing something that should be extremely obvious.The following isn't possible in the TCG. Scenario: You have Sweet Revenge in your hand and Snow in your Graveyard. Your opponent's monster declares an attack. Chain Link 1: You activate Snow's Quick Effect, banishing all cards from your hand and field, except Sweet Revenge.Chain Link 2: You Chain Sweet Revenge's effect, discarding it. It is, however, possible in the OCG where Trigger Effects of monsters in your hand get to be activated when you get the right to activate fast effects, not when you get the right to activate effects that trigger and aren't fast effects. I know the only monster's you're liable to summon off of it would be decaton, weaker lightsworns and (to those still playing them) card troopers, but simply activating it, should be enough to satisfy you as your lifepoints are defended from one attack, then reduced to zero by the next two. (GigaDrillBreaker) Posted February 20, 2018 Report Share Posted February 20, 2018 As a person who has played infernity a decent amount over the last decade, I can say this definitely doesn't work there. The only monster you would care to summon is at 1, and if he is still in your deck by the time you'd get to use this, you have already lost. Archfiend lives in the graveyard, plain and simple. Not to mention that infernity absolutely won't have an empty board. Infernity are a proactive deck, and this is a niche reactive card. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
