I still can't get the spoilers to show up, it still only shows up as text, and the pictures only show up as text as well

Spoilers don't appear as spoilers in the editor. They WILL appear as Spoilers if you Preview Post or simply just post it. Try it out here, or in a PM to me!

Just paste this text:

[spoiler=title]
content
[/spoiler]

And change the title to anything, and content to anything!

Ok, after some testing, it seems that manually typing the spoiler tags doesn't seem to be working for me either. However, the third button has an option for spoilers that does work.

[spoiler=title]content

[spoiler='title']content[/spoiler]
[spoiler='title']content[/spoiler]

what do you mean the third button? like the third option for coding types?

Yeah. Hovering over it should say "Special BBCode." (Also, hovering over my use of button in the previous post should say that; been wanting to use the Acronym feature more.)

whatis a special BBC code?????

A quick search gives this definition:

"BBCode or Bulletin Board Code is a lightweight markup language used to format posts in many message boards. ... In 2000 BBCode was used in phpBB—an internet forum system written in PHP and also XMB forum. vBulletin also uses BBCode."

The Special BBCode button allows for further formatting. There's the Acronym feature, which I used, that lets me put in more text for anyone hovering over certain words. There are spoilers, of course, that hide text until clicked on. Quotes also. Media tags let you post videos rather than linking to them. Lots of other options that I don't quite understand as well.

I would like to quote a thing someone said on one of my posts, given that it is quite hilarious. I'm not sure how to quote people while not just using it in replies. Is there a way to use it in a signature?

Open the thread in another tab.

Use the quote function like you normally do, copy the resulting quote and then paste it in your sig.
