[spoiler='StoryIn the world of Predraelia humans and duel monster spirits walk along side each other, while spirits have the power and ability to dominate only summoners can command them and their powers by sealing them inside stone tablets to be released in mystical duels. For the past four years a mysterious summoner claiming to come from a country to the north known as Zaddicus  has led an army of followers to conquer the land. Now, after defeating the past Emperor himself therefore officially taking the throne, he has announced to the citizens that he has discovered and sealed twenty two powerful spirits that can change fate its self and has scattered them throughout the land in order to search for summoners who can control them and join his court of elites to destroy what little rebellion remains and cement his rule. You have discovered one of the tablets containing these spirits & must choose to act or watch the land be torn by a Zaddicus' forces. Should you choose to fight it is your choice to join Zaddicus in his tyrannical rule over Predraelia or fight against him and free the people of the land.

[spoiler=BackstoryThe Harsh Emperor of Predraelia hails from Culcheth, an incredibly militaristic country to the north. While little else is known about him there are rumors that he made a deal with a powerful spirit to obtain the strength he used to take the throne.

[spoiler=PersonalityA believer in the "iron fist" style of ruling, Zaddicus treats only those he deems stronger, usually summoners, with respect and allows his army to enforce his laws however they decide necessary. He has become incredibly materialistic since living in the Palace at Erast, most likely due to his meager living during his campaign to take over. anyone who has met him in person would say Zaddicus seems both to be distracted and putting on a a show of force, as if there's always some pressing matter on his mind but he wants to appear intimidating.

[spoiler=DeckIt is believed he uses the Tarot spirits he's spread throughout his land

[spoiler=BackstoryThe secret "brother" of Zaddicus, upon the discovery of his affinity with The Starry Tarot Zaddicus sealed his memory within the tablet containing the Tarot and had him left outside an orphanage in the capital to hide his relation to the Emperor.

[spoiler=PersonalityAstra is incredibly timid due to his memeroy loss yet becomes very trusting and attached to people after only a small amount of time. He's unable to remember what his spirits are capable of or how to use them so he mostly plays defensively until he draws The Starry Tarot, reclaiming his memory of dueling temporarily. The young boy has a fear of summoners for some reason and, unless he knows them, will try to stay as far away from them as possible

Judgement - [spoiler=SamanthaUser - The Frost King

gender - Female

Age - 25

[spoiler=Appearance] avatar.jpg

[spoiler=BackstorySamantha is a drifter, moving from town to town. She is addicted to gambling and alcohol and because of this; she usually has little-to-no money. If you ask her about her past, she will tell you to f**k off. Her past life is a secret, but one thing that she will tell you is that her parents are dead. She has borrowed money from many people and has never paid it back, so she has lots of enemies. Samantha lives life recklessly, and because of this, she often pays for it. Her choices have cost her money, friends, and even her left eye. But her choices have also benefitted her. For example, her sword used to belong to one of Zadiccus’s top soldiers before she stole it from under their nose.

While in a bar, she drank too much alcohol and passed out. When she woke up in the alley behind the bar, she found The Judges Tarot in her hand. She did not know how it got there or who put it there, but she just pocketed the tablet and went off to find a gambling ring. Would she join Zadiccus? If she could gamble, drink, and have tons of money, then yes, she would.

[spoiler=PersonalityShe is cocky, reckless and kind of mean. Samantha will do what she feels like without even thinking of the consciences. Sometimes, she will start fights if it means that she might gain something from it. She believes that luck is always on her side, and if something bad happens to her, she will say that it was 'bad' luck on her side that time.

[spoiler=Deck(https://forum.yugioh...-feeling-lucky/Her addiction to gambling has carried over to her duel spirits. “Luck” monsters have effects which you have to either flip a coin or roll a die to activate, and the effect you get may either hurt you or help you

The Hermit[spoiler=Jobeb Achen Ressault]

User: Tinkerer Bartholomew Melon

Gender: Male

Age: 16

[spoiler=Appearance (Big image)]RT14jUQ.png

A bit older-looking and more tan.  Cuffs and vest are brown (+ brown eyes) and he doesn't have a pendant.

[spoiler=Bio]"A boy blessed by the Spirits", or so the people said of young Achen. His parents, middle-class artisans, realized they were blessed with something special while Achen was still young. Talking and reading at an especially early age, Achen's parents thought it best if Achen was brought up to be a scholar. Bringing him to the church in the midst of the town, the priests were surprised to find that the boy had a powerful aura which attracted spirits and signified great potential for becoming a powerful summoner. Achen grew up in the church studying the ways to harness the ability of duel spirits while being able to visit his family every now and then. When Zaddicus' call for summoners went out, the church brought forward Achen. Achen fought against many other contenders, and though he did not win outright, Zaddicus' representative was impressed that such a youth was able to do so well. Believing in the blessings that would follow in Achen's wake, the church presented Achen with a rare deck of ancient duel spirits and sent him off. On route to Zaddicus' castle, the group was attacked by rogue summoners. The others from Achen's town fled, but Achen, not wanting to lose the opportunity to see the Emperor, fought back tooth and nail and drove the rogues away. To this day, though Achen has not seen Zaddicus himself yet, he knows that the Emperor has an eye on him; Zaddicus blessed Achen with a card that he was told to hold onto at all costs: the enigmatic Hermit's Tarot.

[spoiler=Personality]Though considered "blessed" by his kinsmen (or maybe because he was considered blessed), Achen has always felt alone. The pressure put on him to be responsible, to know the answers, to be someone great forced him into seclusion. Though he knew much from what the church had taught him, and though his parents always pushed for him to go down the scholarship route, Achen always felt like there was some greater destiny in store for him.  Demure and respectful, internally, Achen screams for direction and a sense of purpose.  He doesn't often associate himself with others, and being from a relatively small town, his mannerisms tend toward being a bit weird if not impolite.  Achen's main motivation in becoming one of Zaddicus' summoners is the fact that he will always have a given goal while trying to find his own purpose.

Temperance - [spoiler=Feldgrand/Ulfr Pendragon]

User: Libracor (Co-host)
Male
32 Years old

[spoiler=AppearanceOoZIL8T.png
He resembles The Dragon Knight of Creation sans the sword. Beneath his helmet, he is clean shaven, has long brown hair and green eyes

[spoiler=Backstory]Felgrand was born as Ulfr Pendragon, far to the north of the Kingdom of Zaddicus, to a tribe of duelists eking out a life of struggle and clan warfare. It didn’t take long for his skill at dueling to place him as the head of his tribe, but he wanted more. Conquering all of the northern tribes he now brands himself King, and sets his sights upon conquering the southern Empire. Woe betide he who stands in the way of the mighty conqueror of the North.

It was not to be however: Ulfr was bested in combat by Zaddicus himself, to whom he relinquished his Kingdom in the hope that his people would prosper under his strength, and offered mercy and a place by the Emperor's side as his enforcer, complete with a mysterious Tarot card. He contemplated this turn of events, wondering why, if only the strong should survive, he had not been slain by a superior duelist. And so, the would-be conqueror pledged to atone for his actions by leading his new master's armies, sparing those he defeated, seeking to unite the world under a banner of forgiveness, mercy and peace.

[spoiler=Personality] Once ruthless and cruel, his humbling loss taught Ulfr the meaning of mercy. Seeking forgiveness himself, the once-King is swift to offer mercy to the crushed, though he will not hesitate to destroy those who threaten the innocent as he once had. He is wholly convinced of the righteousness of his master's conquest, believing that a short war with minimal casualties would be a fair price to pay for the promise of a lasting peace.

The Tower [spoiler=Jordan Carter]

User JellisOP

Gender Female

Age 19

[spoiler=Appearance] A pale caucasian woman, 6-7, Orange Brown short Hair, a black dress modified for combat, with a short skirt equipped with a Longsword, custom crafted to look like long strands of shadows put together. She has this haunted look in her eyes, and is cold to the touch. She wears a mask, one that looks like El Shaddoll Construct’s face.

[spoiler=Backstory] Jordan was once a happy girl. She lived on her farm with her Family, were she worked diligently. However, she wondered about the outside world. She wished she could see the world. But as they say, be careful what you wish for.

One day, about s few days  she woke up in a void of blackness. She saw her home, her family, her everything get tangled in threads of black shadows. Then, from the shadows a light appeared, and she saw a weird sphere like machination. A creature standing near this creation in a relaxed smooth voice began telling Jordan her story. Of her death during her rebellion, at the hands of the king himself. Then she snapped her fingers, and shadowy strands entangled Jordan. She turned, showing her true face. “I AM EL SHADDOLL CONSTRUCT! AND UNTIL YOU CAUSE HIS DEATH, YOUR HOME, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR VERY SOUL, IS MINE!” She handed Jordan her new deck, put a sword on her belt, and returned her to the real world. Now she begins her search for the tyrant, now with “The Towering Tarot”.

[spoiler=Personality] Jordan is a quiet and kind individual, with only one negative emotion: Hatred for Zaddicus. She hopes to be free of El Shadoll Construct, and wishes she never was given her tarot. However, I said individual. Part of Jordan’s Soul is rapped in cords of shadow, giving El Shadoll Construct the ability to Possess Jordan, usually after a successful activation of “Sinister Shadow Games”. El Shaddoll Construct is hateful and cunning, only desiring to make Zaddicus Suffer.

Deck - Jordan Runs 2 Decks, a “Yang Zing” deck, and also a “Shaddoll” Deck.

How do the Tarot cards work and does the dueling work like it does irl or are there changes?

this question was asked in the previous version (kind of annoyed i forgot to explain to avoid confusion again), duels work the same for the most part, any changes are more aesthetic than anything else but some things may come up for plot reasons later on that actually effect how a duel works.

as far as how the tarot cards work i'm not sure what you mean, the spell cards are listed above with their effects so maybe you're talking about actual Tarot cards?

Which tarot would you say fits in a token spam deck?

any of them since they're self reviving normal monsters after being used as spells and most of them have generic enough effects to be useful in most decks although depending on what the tokens are being used for I'd suggest the lovers to trade your weak tribute fodder/shield tokens for an opponents most likely stronger monster (they get to pic which one they give you though)

I'm also interested in this. I plan on using the character I used last time, if that's okay.

when I PM'd everyone that participated the first time I said they're original characters would get an auto accept, want me to use the app from the original OOC or did you want to make changes?

I'm gonna look over my original app and see if I want to change anything. If I do want to make some changes, I'll let you know.

So if this is in the medieval era, how are duels contucted? What equipment/artefacts do duelists need, and what kinds of Extra Deck options are available?

as stated in the story (i think) they're done by drawing small stone tablets (although spirits can be contained in other things like cloth or bone if the summoner prefers) from what is refereed to as a "deck pouch", these tablets contain magic (spells/traps) and spirits (monsters) that are released through various method (calling out names, breaking the tablet, ect.)

[spoiler=Achen]

Name: Jobeb Achen Ressault

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Tarot Card: The Hermit's Tarot

[spoiler=Appearance (Big image)]RT14jUQ.png

Deck - The Blind Kings

The Hermit is isolation, he is courage, peace, protection. When the hermit is seen it is a time to learn or even a time to travel alone to grow as a person. his personal journey of self discovery shows this, his backstory however shows it's reverse position of forced isolation, in his case a social isolation due to his "blessed" state. I'm interested to see how he develops once meeting Zaddicus, Accepted.

So, I want my character to be the kind of "warlord seeking to gain power and encroach upon the emperor's territory" character, very antagonistic and villainous but out for his own ends. I'm not sure what kind of Deck I would want him to use or which Tarot he would use.

it really depends on how and why he plans to achieve his goal as much as the actual end game as far as which tarot and that can also play into what your decks does and vice versa. The High Priestess is all about intuition and uncovering the truth so if a character plans to overthrow Zaddicus by uncovering some hidden weakness I'd go with that. The Chariot is victory and success, that could easily apply to most characters but it also means speed or transportation. Justice is about fairness, if your character wants to overthrow Zaddicus not for themselves but for the people that's a good choice, if they only want the power that comes with overthrowing him it's reverse position fits, being misjustice or abuse of justice. Death is the beginning and end, it's a transition, possibly between two rulers.  honestly any of them can fit anyone if you understand the meaning and how to apply it but these few seem closer to what you're going for.

Can I reserve the Temperant Tarot, as he rose to power in his homeland through brutality and self-discipline?

[spoiler=The Northern King] Felgrand The Disgraced Warlord, Ulfr Pendragon
Male
32 Years old
Tarot Card: The Temperate Tarot
[spoiler=Appearance] OoZIL8T.png

[spoiler=Deck] - He uses a fairly standard Deck focusing on Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand The Deck also includes Heavy Draw Power and “Amorphage Goliath” for anti-extra Deck strategies

Conquering all of the northern tribes using the mysterious power of his Tarot, a power whose nature he is yet to understand, he now brands himself King, and sets his sights upon conquering the southern Empire. Woe betide he who stands in the way of the mighty conqueror of the North.

[spoiler=Personality] He is ruthless and cruel, and will never give up on a prize he has set his sights upon. Even if he is forced to admit defeat, his tenacity will ensure that he will return to challenge his enemies again, this time prepared with the knowledge of their previous encounter. He believes that it is his destiny to rule the land, as no one save for him truly has the power and mind to hold an empire together. He is quick to anger when confronted about his previous identity, as in his mind Ulfr was crushed beneath the iron boot of Emperor Felgrand.

When this monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls or in their Graveyard: Banish it, then this card gains ATK equal to the banished monster's ATK.

I like the backstory but Zaddicus has only distributed the Tarot throughout Predraelia as that's where he can keep an eye out for anyone that can wield them. beyond that Temperance is about balance and forgiveness not cruel and ruthless force, it's typical depiction is of the Archangel Micheal, angel of protection, whose red wings evoke passionate emotions and control over them however in reverse it is a feeling of overwhelming pressure and emotional upset as well as a lack of resources, difficult issues from the past may surface, this version he somewhat shows. Adjust how he obtained Temperance and match him to temperance a little better. Maybe he obtained it while visiting a border town or something? Keep in mind the scattering of the Tarot is a fairly recent event. Denied for now I will keep Temperance in reserve though.
