Destruction Dragon
Level 8 FIRE Dragon Fusion Effect Monster
ATK 2000
DEF 3000
Must be Special Summoned with “The Fang of Critias”, using “Ring of Destruction. Once per turn: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. Then, if it was a Monster Card, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its Original ATK.

Loop of Destruction
Continuous Trap Card
This card’s name becomes “Ring of Destruction” while on the field. Once per turn, if a monster(s) on the field is destroyed by a card effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 monster on the field; destroy it, and if you do, each player takes (????) damage.

Due to the Article pictures, we are unsure as to the damage inflicted by Loop of Destruction at this time.

There are also some decent reprints that makes the set worth picking up.

It's a 4-digit number for burn damage, as it takes up the same amount of space as the word "This". It's probably 1000 damage, which is pretty damned good.

DESTRUCTION DRAGON IS SO AMAZING AND I LOVE IT. Well, not amazing effect-wise (I think Pyrorex has the same effect), but it looks like so much damned fun to use.

Loop sounds decent, given that it acts as an extension to destructions, easily paying for itself.

Destruction Dragon ... sounds great that the legendary dragons get more targets, it is just ... spell speed 1, targeting, destruction removal on top of a (-1) summon, on a mediocre body and no kind of protection whatsoever makes this trash, unless using critias gets reduces in its costs.

The most interesting part behind this is the fact that a new legendary collection is on the way and timaeus, as well as even more importantly hermos might get more fusion targets (in theory hermos is amazing, it is just that its targets are mediocre at best).

Well perhaps there are more actually good kaiba cards.

I agree here, I am really disappointed at the dragon's effect. Its design is lazy, and until they create a frightfur patchwork for the legendary dragons I doubt they can be used properly (including Timaeus and hermos just because). And what upsets me more is the that dragon should have its stats reversed (but thats just me)

I wanna use Loop in Rokkets.  Not only because the idea of more explosions in the deck sounds hot, but because Loop doesn't care whose monster gets destroyed (so more removal), and Rokkets can pretty easily use Loop as either a pseudo-Drident or as a means of setting up your own plays.

Destruction Dragon is almost hilariously vanilla.  Even its name is really boring.

Loop of Destruction isn't a hard-once-per-turn, which seems kinda nuts. Definitely going to be using it in something.

That's true, but I can't think of many ways to consistently get to 2 Loops, and, even then, I'm not sure there would be a ton of benefit having 2 of these when triggering one at the right moment can keep a field clear/sufficiently crippled (since, ideally, you'd be hitting an opponent's monster then using Loop to hit a second).

One potentially fun (if admittedly rather casual) interaction is using the Destruction Dragon and Loop of Destruction in combination with Replenishment Squad. Once per turn, pop 2 cards, burn for 1000 at minimum, draw 1 card. Yes, it'll require a bit of board investment, and it'll be pretty inconsistent, but once it is going you'll potentially hit a +1 or more every turn, on top of significant burn to put your opponent into danger territory.

It'll be pretty fun at local events, at least.

as the resident  captain obvious, paleozoic can do some insane things with loop of destruction. activating it, and/or using the effect gives you a free paleo each time, and once you have anomalocaris on the field, you can do major damage to your opponent's board, while steadily working towards enough damage to kill... in fact, assuming you resolve this off of anomalocaris (and clear board), you will be putting out at least 4600 from anomalocaris, the loop, and whatever paleo you choose to summon from loop triggering. pretty impressive damage. and if you somehow have mastar boy, or treatoad on board, for a bonus 1900 or 2200, that would give you between 6500 and 6800, which you can possibly stack another 1000 onto on your opponent's turn, assuming they ever have 2 monsters on the field. good stuff.

...no

You can only summon a Paleozoic off Trap Card activations, not Trap effect activations. Otherwise you'd be able to chain Paleo's grave effects to other Paleo's grave effects lol

2 things 1)my bad, i messed that line up. 2) just now realized anomalocaris said 3 or more monsters, meaning i now have some new ideas on how to use it.
