Kageoh* Duke Shade / Duke Shade, King of the Umbra*
Dark Fiend / Effect
LV4 500/2000
You can only use this card name’s (1) and (2) effects once per turn each. You cannot Special Summon monsters during the turn you activate any of this card’s effects, except DARK monsters.
(1) You can Tribute any number of DARK monsters; Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK for each Tributed monster.
(2) If this card is Normal/Special Summoned: You can target 1 Level 5 or higher DARK monster in your GY; add it to your hand.

Oh dear, what have you done. If Lair of Darkness is truly able to Tribute as many monsters as possible, this card can be crazy powerful. Along with that, you get a free add of whatever you just Tributed in Level 5 and higher based Decks. This could put the Deck on the map for sure.

Lair of Darkness only allows you to tribute 1 opponent monster, you will have to use your own (if you want to boost this even more).

That being said, nice to have a SS monster for the deck. Is there going to be more cards revealed or thats all of them?

Looking at the effect, this card seems to be in line with rumours from a few days ago;

"contains a strong monster that goes synergistically with the field spell."

That's one thing I've been wondering about. Though from what I understand from the wording of the field, you'd only be able to tribute one of your opponent's monsters, so this would have a cap of 4k ATK.

This is the last new card.

The ATK is not so much what I'm worried about, it's cleaning up the entire of the opponent's field. Would they do that? I feel like they are starting to learn not to do something so out there, but then again, this game is unpredictable like that.

What I was saying is that if I understood the field correctly, you'd still only be able to tribute one of your opponent's monsters. I know this says "tribute any number", but that wouldn't mean you can tribute multiple monsters from your opponent's board.

Still, with Lair of Darkness, Tributing your opponent's biggest monster to get a recycle of another big monster, as well as a free Link Material, is pretty good.
Honestly, the way this Deck is going, it will benefit greatly from the Witch's Apprentice Link, and you could run the new Archfiend Link due to the number of Fiends.
