I'm still thinking about the new port of Okami, because it seems really out of place unless they're going to be using Ammy or possibly Waka for Ultimate- it's not an anniversary (missed 10 by 2 years), the game hasn't been relevant in a while, and the Switch doesn't represent a specific upgrade in the technology that made up its issues in paintbrush controls. It's not even like the port of Undertale, where the fanbase is a rabid core that would have rioted if they got ignored.

Not saying it's happening, but it's kinda odd if it doesn't.

Okami port makes total sense. A LOT of games have been getting remaster for a while and Okami is one of those games that has gotten more popular with time, but still isn't that easy to find. With the insane success of the Switch it makes sense that they'd throw it on their.

I think the motion controls are live to be a lot better for the simple for that I don't think they had access to Motion Plus.

I wonder what sort of stages will become viable in competitive settings now that you can toggle hazards off.

odds are they'll be a filtered set, the ones that are too large (think great cave offensive, or new pork city), or that provide too many "cave of life" situations (thing underground in hyrule temple) will be removed no question. the rest will probably be based upon how many stages of similar variety exist. the basis of the counterpick meta will also change up greatly though, since choosing stages now comes before characters.

Right, we gotta only care about the super fleshed out characters, like R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Daisy.

I know right, the Duck Hunt duo has got to be one of the most fleshed out characters given that they're only like 3 years younger than the likes of Mario and DK and 2 years older than Link for instance.

What would Waluigi’s moves even be? Daisy was easy because you can just slap peach’s moveset on her, but there’s no one who is true to Waluigi because Waluigi was designed for spin offs

Duck Hunt had enough moves to be given a moveset. His standards obviously needed some inspiration, but other than that he’s pretty much his own character. Same thing with ROB

Must be sad to have less potential than a character that’s not even from his own video game :(

Waluigi's moveset would be easy, what are you on about?

Just give him stuff from the spin off games he was made for.

He can make a go-kart like Wario makes a motorcycle. His basic attacks and be tennis rackets or golf clubs. Special moves can be things from favorite Mario Party minigames; releasing a chain chomp, throwing bob-ombs, etc. Final Smash, maybe he spins a triple dice block that always lands on all 10s and gets super speed and strength, maybe even flight like Wario's Final Smash. Or he takes all opponents right next to him to a Mario Party board and throws huge dice blocks at them in a cutscene like Captain Falcon's. Lots of options that make total sense.

Give him high jumping and good ledge recovery cause he's so long and your set.
