Bandana Dee would also be a fun addition. He's got a unique weapon type with his spear, and a lot of his moveset could be easily adapted from the Kirby games he's in. In terms of new potential Kirby reps I imagine he's pretty high up on the list, he's sort of become a staple as part of the quartet of Kirby/King Dedede/Meta Knight/Bandanna Dee.

Also I really want to fly around with his Spear Copter as his up special.

So we've got Ridley, and people have been wanting King K. Rool in forever, but in terms of villains I'd love it if they could make Dr. Eggman work. I dunno how likely it is that a third-party series could get more than one rep, but he's always been a super fun villain to me (

). Maybe he could be like how Bowser Jr. is in his Clown Car and ride around in his Egg Mobile, which has a million different weapons and machines from the Sonic series that a moveset could draw inspiration from.

Random thing I just thought of- what will this game's equivalent to Snake's Codec/Palutena's Guidance be? I don't think they'd drop a fun Easter egg like that now that it's been in two consecutive games. Both Shadow Moses Island and Palutena's Temple are returning, but I personally don't think they'll be reusing either of those particular gimmicks.

I don't see why not, I'd be really sad if those didn't return, especially now that they can add all the other characters into it. And with them bringing David Hayter back for Snake, I feel like they'd want to get as much out of him as possible.

Also, could you imagine the silliness if there was a special Codec/Guidance between Snake and Palutena?

I find it humorous that there's all the fan outcry about Snake's nerfed butt (and rightfully so), but from what I can tell the response to Samus having a smaller bust size and more toned muscles is generally positive (I know I'm a fan).

I don't see what Nintendo was trying to accomplish by making final smashes shorter and completely reworking transformation smashes like Fox's and Sonic's. If they are trying to cater to the hyper competitive tournament crowd they are wasting their time IMO since those people always insist that stage hazards and more importantly, all items be off.

It’s a quality-of-life change that just makes the game more exciting to watch and helps players get right back to fighting after the final smash.

Kind of like how knockback was modified so that players can spend a lot more time in control of their character and a lot less time flying away. It helps contribute to the “smash u is faster than smash 4” trend

Yeah, pretty much all of the transformation Final Smashes basically made the game no longer a fighting game for the duration. It just turned things into a game of keep away until it wore off, it was honestly not very fun or interesting for either side (having had plenty of experience on both sides) when it happened.

One of Mark Rosewater's ideologies for game design is a game should end before the players want them to end. Put another way, it is important to not overstay your welcome. This change is likely coming form that. By removing them it improves the pace of the game and lets people get right back into the action.
