~British Soul~
I want Piranha Plant without preordering. How do I do that?To get it for free: register the game with My Nintendo before January 31, 2019. After that date it will be paid DLC separate from the Fighters Pass. Flame Dragon
Yea, Plant isn't a preorder bonus. Just need to buy the game in the first two months, which most people are likely to be doing. Anyway, has anyone gotten to try out the demos? I've gotten two games, one with Ridley and one with King K. Using a not GC-Controller throws me a lot, but I enjoyed what I played. But boy does Wrecking Crew suck. Snatch Steal
I’ll probably play the demo again on Sunday (the full demo) cause it’s at the Florida mall. From the CEO demo I noticed that Bayonetta doesn’t have a lot of her combos anymore and that there seems to be more traction on the ground so you have to keep holding the control stick a bit more to move (probably because of dash stepping). Also Ivysaur is the best Pokemon imo Hmu if you wanna lern anything, definitely gonna use lots of Wario to figure out what he can do but I also wanna try Wolf and K Rool. Shradow
I'm really excited for K. Rool, I haven't played any of the DKC games he's in but I liked him from 64. From all the footage I've seen he seems very strong, and abunch of the pro's early tier list impressions put him near the top ranks. I don't think we've had a top tier superheavy since Snake in Brawl. Also, you guys know people who do good character analyses? I'm always looking for good info. If you guys are looking for any, this channel PushBlock Gaming has done several over the past few months and they're very good, here's a few examples: All the frame data changes are juicy af. Flame Dragon
I find people trying to make tier lists already REALLY premature. Like, I doubt the demo version we've been playing is the actual final build of the game. I enjoy mindless speculation as much as the next person, but this feels a bit much. That said I'm super happy the King is looking good.
Shradow
Calling it mindless seems a bit harsh, these are guys like ZeRo and Nairo we're talking about here. But like I said, they are just early impressions.
Flame Dragon
Calling it mindless seems a bit harsh, these are guys like ZeRo and Nairo we're talking about here. But like I said, they are just early impressions. Fair. They've likely been playing the game a ton so they are basing this off stuff. I don't think its enough to really be able to say what tiers will look like, but they can certainly say "this character feels really good." I just think click bait to the effect of "Yong Link is going to be top tier" is way too much.
Shradow
Well I think that's just sort of ZeRo's vocabulary, he calls things "top tier" or "broken" a lot. But the dude was literally the best Smash 4 player in the world (has a world record 56 tournament win streak), he knows what's up. Side note, he also has very entertaining streams. Young Link does look pretty good, though. I've never really been any sort of Link player, though, so I'm not that interested.

Flame Dragon
I don't think we have hard confirmation on the Mii. My guess is they don't have other moves though.

Also what's the deal with buying the DLC early? So long as you register the game before January 31st you are good. If you don't I'm assuming the Plant will be normal DLC. The DLC pass is likely going to be sold on the online store when the game comes out. The only bonus for the early buy is the Rex Mii skin.
Snatch Steal
From what I saw, Customs are gone, which is either because they’re being replaced by spirits or because they didn’t want people choosing all the customs at the event. So the mii brawler is 1111

So the mii brawler is 1111 The customs were likely a lot of extra work and I don't honestly know how much use they even got. Pretty sure I never touched them. Draconus297
I mean, the only really fun customs belonged to the Miis, because you could give them relatively interesting movesets. I have like three different Mii Swordfighters with mostly different movesets, and the custom moves can definitely change your playstyle. If any character(s) retained custom moves, I would definitely say that the Miis could use them to make playing against them a bit of a challenge. Snatch Steal
Not using customs in smash 4 is LDE I can totally see why they’d be scrapped though considering there are so many characters and it’s coming out in a few weeks
Shradow
So what character(s) is everyone looking forward to playing the most? For me it's definitely Isabelle. I dabbled with Villager in Smash 4 and had lots of fun, but Isabelle is adorable and my favorite AC character and she's looking to be even better than Villager. She still has the slingshot and turnips which are great moves, and I appreciate the consistency of her always has 2 turnips instead of Villager's 1-3. She lacks the recovery mix-ups of lloid rocket but the fishing rod is a great edge guarding tool since it has hitboxes both ways. And her lloid mine is a fantastic tool in the neutral, combined with the fishing rod and slingshot it'll be difficult for characters to approach her. The rest of the differences are less subtle and mixed, like her fsmash having more forward range but less utility than Villager's bowling ball, or her utilt having more range but less of a lingering hitbox. Draconus297
I'm legitimately excited for Piranha Plant and Inkling, but I don't think any of the other newcomers appeal to me all that much. Glad to see Snake and Pokémon Trainer back, probably going to dabble in Young Link, but eventually I think I might just fall back to my existing favorites and enjoy their new buffs. Yoshi's new egg buffs look fun.
Flame Dragon
Seeing as how I mained Pokemon Trainer in Brawl and Charizard in 4 I'm most looking forward to trying him out. For new comers Ridley and King K. are the ones I'm most excited for. All that said I play a TON of characters in Smash so I'm looking forward to most everyone. Shradow
Also, if some WoL footage is being interpreted correctly, Isabelle is one of the first characters you can unlock through it, so that's good.
vla1ne
As far as who i'd be hyped to play as, for the returners, my highest hype goes to the ones with the biggest buffs from 4 to ultimate, AKA puff, ganon, little mac, and robin. Those three have been some of my favorite characters to play as, and seeing them get the love they deserve had made me very happy. As for the newcomers, i'm not actually too excited for any of them. I'll play them all just to get a feel, and see it there's anything i like, but they don't call out to me all that much.
Shradow
NO ONE ASKED YOU VIRIDI I also appreciate them pointing out the Isabelle pun. I'd always noticed her head was shaped like a bag of bells, but I never realized that she was also wearing bells on her hair band.
