Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Man, so you know who's a lot of fun? Dark Samus. I dabbled in Samus in Smash 4, but all these new buffs (and she got a ton) make Dark Samus feel way better. Bombs exploding on contact is really nice for neutral and edgeguarding, and I especially love the shield pressure with her projectiles. Obviously a sufficiently big Charge Shot will do a lot, but even 3 missiles is enough to break a shield with 2 missiles making it dangerously close. I was honestly pretty hyped to see Dark Samus announced even if she is just an Echo.

EDIT: This song is in Ultimate from the Style Savvy series and I really need to get this. Hope it shows up in the shop soon, lol.

Random thought, you could argue that this is sort of the first time we have 2 Zeldas in Smash Bros. Sheik and Zelda are the same person, but this is the first game they have designs from different games. Melee had OoT Zelda and Sheik, Brawl and 4 had TP Zelda and an unused TP Sheik design, and in this game we have ALBW Zelda and BotW-based Sheik.

Full thoughts on Nintendo's Direct.

The Hero looks cool. Curious how his special move changing works

DQ11 sure looks like DQ. Now if only the franchise was bigger here.

Luigi’s Mansion looks great. I never played any of the games but I might get this. Shocked it’s coming out this year.

Dark Crystal was not something I was suspecting.

Link’s Awakening looks great. Dungeon maker is cool. Surprised it’s coming out September 20th.

The Mana games look cool. The collection coming out today is nice.

Witcher, more like the Switcher. Neat.

Fire Emblem time travel. Game looks really interesting. July 26 is real soon.

Resident Evil 1, 5, and 6 on Switch is nice. The live action bit was very in line with RE’s cheesy opening.

No More Heroes looks crazy. I kind of love it.

New Contra looks fine. Collection is cool to see. Also out today.

XMachina looks like a solid mech game. ROBOTS

I don’t know much about Panzer Dragoon but I know the name. Gives me a Star Fox feel.

Pokémon news was outside of the direct. Not being able to move non-Galar Pokémon is awful. Hope they patch it in or something. The new Pokémon look cool. Also more legs to the leak.

Astral Chain looks really cool. Might pick it up. Have until 8/30 to decide.

Empire of Sin is fine.

Marvel looks great. Especially if your a big Marvel fan. I like Marvel stuff though I don’t think I’m that interested. Coming next month though.

Cadence looks just as cool as before. Not for me though. Shocked it’s out in 2 days.

More Mario and Sonic. Sure looks like the others.

Animal Crossing isn’t my jam but it looks super chill. Going to be a ton of fun for the big AC fans. Shane about the delay.

Rapid fire round

Spyro is neat. New Hollow Knight stuff is awesome. I should get the first. Nino Kuni is fine. Knew about Minecraft. Elder Scrolls. My Friend Pedro looks wild still. Doom on Switch is neat. Sinking City is ??? Wolfenstein is a game. Death by Daylight we knew. Alien is cool. Some Square stuff. Catan is weird in Switch. Mascot platformer

BANJO!!!!

BotW 2 is a hell of a way to end the direct. Looks real interesting.

I'm calling it now, Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia will be Winter Smash.

I don't see it personally.

My pick for DLC character 4 (whenever it drops) would be someone like Heihachi or something.

Banjo & Kazooie would definitely sell the Fighter's Pass to me (Joker hasn't done so for me yet personally), but in all seriousness I would be happy with them getting in, I know back in March, Phil Spencer said that he would be fine with it.

This aged well  Kappa  .

You know, I'm not sure why I posted my E3 thoughts here. I think I thought this was another thread? Shrug, have some music

Why? That is a pretty unknown franchise imo and I'm pretty sure most people will feel like that slot was wasted on such an unknown.

I'm also expecting a Namco Bandai character. Tekken and Tales are the most likely franchises to get it.

Why did you copy/paste my post exactly?

I typed something else, and when I re-quoted the post (as I hit backspace one too many times seeing as I keep the most relevant parts of a post I quote and get rid of the rest), it must've overwrote what I wrote.

What I intended to write is in the edited post.

Something that's been on my mind for a while: I heard from trailers that in the words of a developer smash ultimate's final smashes "get straight to the point" meaning that they changed the final smashes that were transformations to be one shot moves. However, why do that to cater to the hyper competitive demographic of players with a change that's irrelevant without smash balls turned on? Those players would never have items turned on to begin with so why bother? Of course, I could be wrong so feel free to enlighten me.
