Neither player can Normal or Special Summon DARK monsters or declare an attack with a DARK monster. This card cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK monster, also you take no battle damage from that battle.

Negate all DARK monster effects activated on the field or in the Graveyard.

 

So I noticed Lair of Darkness, the new Field Spell from the virus heavy structure Deck, alters the Attributes of monsters on the field to be Dark... So I couldn't help, but acknowledge these 2 floodgate cards against Dark monsters: Consecrated Light and Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror that could either be used as a side or even directly in tandem with Lair of Darkness as some trolly Skill-Drain or some garbage stall Deck.

while consecrated would prevent attacks, and shadow would stop monsters on field, it would not stop your opponent from summoning a non-dark monster under lair, or using non-dark monster effects in grave. lair only makes monsters on the field dark, meaning you can still summon anything that's not inherently light, or activate the effects on non-dark monsters in grave. if you want to pick out 2 cards you can use, it'd be better to just stick with the standard skill/mind/soul drains. 

 

on the other hand, both are, for the most part, excellent counters to the deck.

Consecrated light is searchable by Cyber Angel Benten. Something something prep is at 3, something something devigishki.

 

Completely disregarding synergy with lair of darkness, this is a pretty damn alright card to keep in mind going forward. Floodgates tend to be decent. Searchable floodgates tend to be great.
