Creation of CHAOS

Field Spell

Activate this card by paying half of your LP and banishing 1 "Skiel", "Wisel" and "Granel" Monster from your hand, field and/or GY face-down. After activation, Special Summon 1 "CHAOS Meklord Deus Ex Machina" from your Extra Deck or GY to your Extra Monster Zone. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. Machine Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle by card effects. You can only activate "Creation of CHAOS" once per duel.

CHAOS Meklord Deus Ex Machina

DARK

Link: All

Machine/Link/Effect

4+ Machine Monsters including 1 "Skiel", "Wisel" and "Granel" Monster

Must be Link Summoned or Special Summoned by the effect of "Creation of CHAOS" to the Extra Monster Zone. When this card is Link or Special Summoned, banish all cards in zones this card points to face-down. Neither player can summon or set Monsters into Zones this card points to. Once per turn: You can target 1 Monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect.

ATK/5000 LINK-8

So these 2 cards in Meklords acts as support to protect your Machine Monsters and summon the Ultimate Machine Monster in the form of Chaos Meklord where the field spells cost of LP and banishing the 3 Meklords to summon Chaos Meklord and Chaos Meklord first banishing all monsters in zones it points to, to then shut those zones down to prevent your opponent from making big playes. In addition to that Chaos Meklord can steal any Monster and add its ATK onto its own making Chaos Meklord a frighting big bad boss Monster.

These cards seem absurd...but they sort of have to be. We all know how much the Meklord Emperors suck with what little actual support they have, and having only 6 cards, with 3 of them being extremely situational. At least they can eat up your hand, and there's not a definitive LP cost on the Field Spell. It can be killed by a chained MST, but other than that it's alright. To be honest, I was expecting a lot more for your boss, but no inbuilt protection plus an interesting way of locking your opponent without expressly doing so makes for a much better designed card than one would think. Of course, an 8-Link card is a bit scary, but it's not like it can be Summoned the normal way. My only complaint would be the ATK combined with the equipping just seems like overkill; it could get away with doing something else with the equipped monster (not negates please).

But yeah, if I'd have to choose a side at the moment, I'd go with underpowered. Even with the amount of strength from the boss, it has rather fair weak points granted by itself and the Field Spell, so these two cards make a rather balanced card. Unfortunately, the non searchability, inconsistency, and general lackluster state of Meklords bring this down to Dark Flattop levels of unplayable.
