Inb4 drew brings up deskbots

Really though, this is a super sweet generic monster, and as mentioned in OP it is great for laddering. It helps access cards from deck, and just extends plays in general. Not much to say that hasn't already been said, it's just a really useful thing to have in the available card pool.

It's certainly a card that'll be worth getting a subscription for, and with it being good at laddering, it'll certainly make the US meta that much more different from the EU meta. But yeah they're doing a good job at making a subscription worth paying for. between this and Linkuriboh thus far.

On another note, I can't wait for its reprint to come in 2019  Kappa .

Inb4 drew brings up deskbots

Obligatory "This Card Is Very Good In Deskbots". Because it is; being able to pull Deskbot 001 from the deck and use it for whatever your heart desires and having it in the grave is pretty crucial for the deck's strongest functions, and the synergy is very nice.

...But, this card isn't -especially- good in Deskbots. Thanks to Needlefiber and O-Lion, this card is more or less as much of a Machine support monster as you can get without it being an outright Machine monster. It means that, overall, every machine deck that can run a tuner/non-tuner option (COUGHCOUGHRIGHTYLEFTYCOUGH) can and, well, should. ABC's, in particular, use this card to some strong effect (Torque being able to make any ABC into a Tuner thanks to Hangar is very good for this). Deskbots, as mentioned, can use this. I've seen Cybers use this to some pretty nice effect.

For a machine deck, at worst, with Needlefiber it's a simple +1 combo that nets you 3 monsters on the board for an easier 4-material Saryuja. At best, it's an effective card for establishing some strong fields. It's not outright broken, but we'll have to see what Konami does about Needlefiber (I suspect not as much as Electrumite, but I'm not holding my breath).

Just to make sure, what's the window of time where somebody buying a subscription would be able to receive this card?

I saw the site list it as "eligibility April 20" so I guess that's the end date of the promo or is that when the promotion begins?

https://www.viz.com/wsj-promo

Checked my own membership, and it says for the duration of your membership you “qualify for cards that are eligible during that time”. So in other words, April 20th is the cut-off date for being eligible to get a copy. If you’re a member through April 20, you’ll get a copy.
