Wherever the Wind Blows

[Normal Spell]

Roll a six-sided die, then Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with the Attribute based on the corresponding result.

  • 1: EARTH
  • 2: WATER
  • 3: FIRE
  • 4: WIND
  • 5: LIGHT
  • 6: DARK

You can only activate 1 "Wherever the Wind Blows" per turn.

I think the only Decks that would run this is Decks with varying Attributes like Elemental HERO, Six Samurai, and most recently Elementsaber. With something like that in mind, I would suggest some sort of cost. Perhaps 1000 Life Points? Or a restriction like no other Special Summons or monster effects? The other two archetypes might have a little fun with this card, but I feel Elementsaber would have a field day with this. Especially given no limit on the Level.

To be honest, HEROs don't run WIND because obvious Stratos is banned TCG-side and Avian sucks (LIGHT is non-existent right now, and EARTH won't be viable for a while). So they technically got 50% chance to fail if running. Other two, yeah.

Granted, Konami has been printing archetypes with multiple Attributes lately so this could see some play. Elementsabers shouldn't be too bad (main one is probably Aina for reviving, but you have 16.67% chance of getting her anyway via this); I would need to test run it a bit more, but the members on their own are usually tame. Skyfangs are iffy (yeah, they do have members of all Attributes). I would say Weather Painters could use this, but they need a Normal Summon (not SS).

Um...let's see what Decks are multi-Attribute that are worth talking about:

  • HEROs (if you don't mind running the casual ones, then sure)
  • Six Sams (yeah sure)
  • Elementsabers (this one would probably be obvious, but again, most of them should be tame save for Williard / whatever this gets name changed to. We'll see)
  • Painters (would help if they weren't NS-reliant)
  • Skyfangs (Probably yeah)
  • Yang Zings (Do they really need the help? In this instance, you probably would have to put restrictions on this card, but it depends on if they got space.)

There are some other ones, but either they don't have the consistency for this, don't run all of the Attributes because one of their members is bleh or some other reason.

It's still luck-based though with a hard OPT, so that's probably sufficient enough as a drawback.
