Gamblink Archfiend

DARK

L-2

Top Left and Top Right

Fiend / Link / Effect

ATK 2400

2 DARK monsters

If a monster is special summoned to a zone this card points to, flip a coin: If the coin lands on heads: Take control of that monster. Cannot be targeted.

It's been a while... But I thought of this card the other day and thought it might be kinda cool? I don't know how well it works for today's meta... CnC is appreciated and will be repd...

I apologize in advance for any words I say that may be construed as rude.

It's kinda broken.

2400 ATK on a Link-2 that doesn't even need that bad stuff? (DARK is all over the place) EVERYONE will be using this because EVERY Deck can spit it out. They'll get a 2400 ATK beatstick that cannot be targeted (I assume by card effects) and has a 50-50 chance to steal any mon your opponent tries to Special summon to a zone it points to.

The effect is very interesting and unique, though. I suggest nerfing its ATK, removing the "Cannot be targeted" clause, or making the materials more specific (2 DARK Fiend monsters???? maybe not good enough by itself), or any combination thereof. You could even give it a negative effect if the coin flip lands on tails. This card isn't the best, but it's easily savable.

And I understand. I'm not very good at this either and it's been a while for you. Just keep practicing, and you can get better.

Probably to make luck-based effects not suck as bad, but yeah, you normally do have another effect that triggers if you call it wrong or get a different flip.

Technically speaking, we got Ziegler as a Link 2 with 2100 ATK (well, recently), but that's not much of a difference, considering conditions. But I digress here.

But yeah, it's really easy to summon nowadays (well, maybe not so much pre-Gofu ban but you got SR06 and the like), has a big ATK stat that would normally be found on Link 3 or 4s and yeah, take control of a monster while being untargetable by effects. You do need to specify what can this card not be targeted by.\

I'd rather not give you direct changes, but one thing would be to lower its ATK and probably strip its targeting immunity. The markers do aid in a faster Extra Link in the MMZ, yes, but why are you focusing on that when it's usually impractical? Or if you want to keep its attack, you do need some form of negative effect to balance it out, though I understand the need for not making this card fall hard in the current game.
