Name: Fusion Zone

Type: Field Spell

Effect: Twice per turn, cannot be destroyed by card effects. Neither player can special summon monsters from the Extra Deck except Fusion monsters. Fusion monsters gains 200 ATK each time they attack. During the End Phase, you can defuse a Fusion Summoned monster to add 1 "Polymerization" card or 1 "Fusion" card from your graveyard to your hand.

Not a fan of this card given it's still a floodgate. Yes, there are Decks like Fluffals, Invoked (er, they have their own Fusion cards that are not searchable via this card), HEROs (well, Masked anyway), etc, but other than that, the rest of the game has moved on to other things and this essentially locks them out. Instant Fusion exists too, but this is technically still Vanity's Emptiness for Fusion decks with its own protection effects and searchable via Terraforming.

(You do know Emptiness is banned, right?)

The last effect is fine, though "defuse" isn't an official term in the game (which I will assume you're just sending back that monster to the ED and returning the materials to the field). Stat boost isn't really impressive, but suppose it works well enough with stuff that can multiple attack (i.e. Frightfur Wolf for relevant stuff iirc). But that being said, the Vanity's effect has to go or remove the protection effect.

If you do remove the floodgate effect, it gets outclassed by Recycling Plant, so...figure out a way for this to help Fusion decks without it amounting to locking off SSing other monsters.

You don't get the Fusion materials back from the last effect. Just simply return a Fusion Summoned monster back to the extra deck to get a Polymerization or a Fusion card from the graveyard to your hand. Due to the increasing number of ways to get rid of spell and traps, the protection effect helps keep it on the field longer while also reducing your opponent's resources trying to get rid of it (unless they have Cosmic Cyclone and banishes it like that). The floodgate effect forces a duel into a Fusion Summon  duel. A decks such as Monarchs could use it since they really don't use the Extra deck. And Fusion decks like the anime version of the Elemental Heroes, Evil Heroes and Neo-Spacians (Neo-Spacians especially) could get plenty of use from it. The field slows the decks that aren't utilizing Fusion summoning as a core summoning mechanic down.

But yes, I do see your point. I put the protection effect there so it won't get destroyed easily (I ran into a few duels where my opponent had Twin Twister and/or MST in their opening hand). If I lower it to Once per turn or keep it as it is, it would be a limited card or banned. If I remove the protection effect altogether, it would be at three or semi-limited.

Hmm, a requirement for the floodgate? An obvious requirement is you must control a Fusion monster for the floodgate to be active. Though in a Fusion deck that can summon 2 or more in a turn, this could be easy to get around. You must control 2 or more Fusion monsters is a good requirement.
