Idea: Creative writing yugioh oneshots with multiple contributors?

I Hate Snatch Steal

Question

I had an idea for creative writing:

I thought I could make a thread where people can write a one shot length fanfic consisting of only a duel and maybe a few sentences of background. It would state in the OP that anyone can add a oneshot duel to the thead. This is sort of like what I did here:

https://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=527521&highlight=duels+daydream but with multiple authors, better cards, and much better formatting XD. (That was the first time I tried to write anything tbh)

edit: The duels involving dimitri and lorenzo were reasonably funny when I re-read them as it turns out.

edit: I don't mean the linked thread as a good example of the concept, just an example of the concept.

I thought it would be a cool way for someone to show off their favorite cards here.

I just want to make sure its ok to do before I think about trying it.

One of the issues you'd need to tackle here is making sure the characters are using cards that are generally balanced and situations aren't solved by a topdeck of some magical card that can conveniently turn it around in a single turn.

Idea is nice, but then you also run the problem of turning that thread into a collection of fights that aren't really cohesive. Additionally, like some of your fics back then, the one-shots people add on may be difficult to read, depending on formatting.

Granted, we are in the process of dissolving the section mod thing, though I'm not really in a position to give a definitive yes/no on the idea b/c I don't even go in there much.

The idea should be fine, provided that you follow the general rules in Fanfic (spellcheck your work, keep it PG-13 / tag if you need to and spoiler tag stuff so we don't read text walls for one-shots).
