Firewall Dragon Knight

Rank 6

LIGHT

Cyberse/effect

2500/2000

3 Level 6 monsters

You can also Xyz Summon this card by discarding 1 Cyberse monster and using 2 Cyberse monsters you control with different names whose total levels equal 6 as the Xyz Materials. You can detach 1 material from this card, then target 1 monster on the field or in either GY, and if your opponent controls more cards then you do, you can target 1 additional monster your opponent controls; return that target(s) to the hand(s). If this face-up card leaves the field: you can special summon 1 monster from your hand. You can only use each effect of "Firewall Dragon Knight" once per turn.

[spoiler=design notes]

This card gives Cyberse decks more access to firewall's effects. Returning an opponent's link monster to the extra deck while also getting 1 of your own back is a powerful effect. It also has a version of Firewall's other effect. HOPTs ensure that this card won't start loops. The summoning requirements are meant to make this card easy to summon in a cyberse deck but not easy otherwise.

If someone wants to make artwork for this, you have my blessing to do so.

I'm somewhat on the fence about this card's alternative summon conditions, considering it feels more like a SYNCHRO and less of an Xyz. I would say double the Level requirement so it's 12 (but I'm not really sure how often they can keep monsters with total Levels equaling/exceeding this value without Link Summoning first). You could try 9 as an intermediary between the two.

(Cyberse could make this normally via Salvagent Driver, Whitehat and Interruptor Resistor, but I think they'd prefer their Link plays over going into this. In terms of the alternate condition, an easy play for them would be Widget Kid [3], then use it to summon Secretary/Operator or one of the other Cyberse 3s, then Link into this. There's Balancer Lord + Digitron/Protron/whatever Level 2, but...you figure out how to work with it)

As for the effect, at least it's somewhat accurate to OG Firewall (albeit less potent but usable more times). That being said, you could probably reword the detach effect that bounces two cards as an alternative condition if the opponent does have more resources (as right now, it's worded kinda awkwardly by PSCT standards, but for now, it's understandable).

Then again, this card is TECHNICALLY outclassed by Ptolemys M7 due to its lower material requirements (well, requiring one less material) and higher stats (also not hard OPT) overall. Granted, this card can hit 2 cards instead of 1 if the opponent has more cards out (which is likely) and floats into something from hand when it dies, but yeah. Can't really say Cyberse will really stray away from anything not Link-based, given a lot of them do specify "zones this card points to" or something else pertaining to Links.

Card works for what it does, but the alternative condition is slightly concerning. If you're worried about other Decks abusing this, you could just change the materials to 2 Level 6 Cyberse monsters, but again you'll then have to rely on Whitehat, Resistor or Salvagent Driver to be viable materials in Cyberse.
