Burn decks are now tier 0 because of this. Have fun being burnt alive and losing turn 2-3 everyone.

They're still slow and need a few turns to get out the final trap, and cosmic cyclone kills them the entire way there.

They're a good casual deck, but I doubt it will be more than that

A burn deck is already meta, it's called Trickstars

Ehh...Michion and Raphion are really the best of these, and even then, the previous group were overall better.

I mean, Gabrion's effect would be powerful in conjunction, with, say, Droll & Lock Bird or something else that lets you stop the drawing. But as is, giving your opponent a net 0 that sets them up well for next turn doesn't sound very good.

They funking suck.

They don’t perform better than the old ones, Michion doesn’t do anything, Hairon got nerfed to oblivion, Raphion is a worse volcasaurus, and Gabrion letting pop draw that many makes it iffy. I guess Raphion’s alright, but...

I think this is a little harsh

Raphion is a one sided Ring of Destruction that can do a fair bit of damage. It doesn't target either which is somewhat nice.

Halving the LP can put the opponent in Gustav max range.

As for the one that equalizes LP, Life Equalizer did get banned OCG side

If your point is that Zaphion is the best one, I'm not going to disagree, but these aren't as bad as you make it out to be. With cards like Celestial Tranformation & Valhalla the deck does have a pretty decent Ceiling

Would Valhalla not conflict due to the fact that both the timelords, as well as valhalla demand an open field ?

Raphion is alright (for the standards of these cards), though I would argue Michion might be the best due to being able to burn for half the life points, massively reducing the necessary burn to win, though that hardly matters with it being a dead draw a few turns later (though time maiden exists to search it).

Life Equalizer does not really compare to Hanion due to the fact that Hanion is far, far slower and thus not able to fill the use life equalizer had.

Gabrion should have been "shuffle up to 2 monsters your opponent controls back into his/her deck" and right now only works with cards that imediately discard all drawn cards afterwards.

All are actually disappointing, they should have gotten a tzaphion-like additional effect (unlike it they did not have one in the anime, however given these effect downgrades it could be justified).

It does not help that the 3 traps are reliant on getting the earlier ones and a massive minus (they should have adapted the Tag Force ones, or preferably made the stronger ones get additional effects if you control the weaker ones as well (and an activate from hand condition) instead of the horrible "useless, unless you have the earlier one" condition).

Oh man, you're right, you can't Valhalla then normal a Timelord

That's actually unfortunate. I thought you could always Normal them without Tribute

We are getting one more Timelord Card however, so maybe there's some hope there

Now that I checked it you are actually right, given that there is no card with a high priority it might be an original card that ties these together and could maybe place infinite light straight from the deck ... propably not.

That being said it is nice that the "timelords" and the 3 important traps are released, too bad their "boss" monster has nothing to do with its own archtype and infinite light does nothing to fix that (they should have at least adapted that and allowed the trap to add the summon effect to sephylon).

Or it could be Time Angel which is Z-one's only unreleased monster now, and it could get buffed to tie the deck together.

I mean, here's the other Z-ONE Traps we're missing, in order of relative relevance:

Magician's Adage burns your opponent by 300 per card that's bounced or spun for the rest of the turn after its activation, and can be used from hand if you don't control a monster (or only a Timelord). That works for this burn strategy, especially considering the amount of bouncing and spinning you're doing.

Empress's Crown, while very conditional (you must have a Timelord, your opponent must have a Synchro), is still a "draw until your hand is at 5", so certainly there's some use to it.

Empress's Staff is a from-hand Negate Attack that burns for 500 . . . so that's a thing.

The thing is that none of these are good points when they're slow, battle-reliant cards that have trouble devoting multiples without using Ain Soph Aur, which is slow as hell.

I never even mentioned Zaphion... And having ways to play doesn't change that this is inherently a normal summon deck. Yes, you can cheese that a bit, but, at present... It's just not outstanding. None of these really add up a ton, because they still require multiple turns to add up to anything, while being fairly easy to disrupt.

EDIT: nevermind, missed that Gabrion doesn't give draws for ED mons. That card is just good.

If Trickstars are a burn deck, Blue-Eyes is a ritual deck.

The only one really worth looking at is Gabrion. Rest are booty garbo.
