So I stumbled across this old design of mine for a tuner...

... and decided to post it here:

When this card is summoned: you can discard 1 card; special summon 1 "Duality Warrior Token" (Warrior-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 1000/DEF 1000). When this token leaves the field, destroy this card. This token is destroyed if this card is not face-up on the field.

I can't remember what purpose/deck I designed this for but I thought it would be worth posting here none the less

This is a really cool engine card. I've been waiting for something like this IRL for a long time because of Reinforce Truth.

You can always provide 2 Link materials so long as you use both at the same time, or 2 Tributes, or abuse the fact it is a Tuner, which is something I haven't seen in a while.

This card is a 1 card Hastorr or Armory Arm. Though people would probably use it to get Needlefiber out and then bring a second copy from the deck out with its subsequent Token. The point is, it can go places.

It is also refreshing to see the old template. The "kill replica or original and both die" bit is troublesome, but having it doesn't hinder this card's uses for the most part. It does hurt when trying to get some shields up but that's just one scenario.

If I had to suggest one thing, it'd be making its ATK 800, just so that it would get Monarch Squire stats (800/1000), but even as is, it is already good IMO.

Seems it was inspired on Doppelwarrior.

Anyway, I would say this card has aged well. Back the it opened Synchro plays, now it can open Link plays as well, and gets support from the coveted Needlefiber too. It's great that the effect triggers on any kind of Summon. The discard may seem undesirable at first, but it's still a 1-for-1 in a vacuum, which can translate to pluses through laddering, and it can assist by discarding cards that want to be in the GY, or just trade dead cards.
