Thomas★Zero
Summon Dice Normal Spell Card You can only activate a card with this card’s name once per turn. (1) Pay 1000 LP; roll 1 six-sided dice, and apply the effect depending on the result. • 1 or 2: You can Normal Summon/Set 1 monster. • 3 or 4: You can Special Summon 1 monster from your GY. • 5 or 6: You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher monster from your hand. So Summon Dice is a mix of extra summoning, Monster revival and Special Summoning big Monsters which is determined by the chance of a dice roll. Its a intresting card to go with Orgoth and its first 2 effects are quite nice for the chance at a Double Summon or a Monster Reborn where the last effect depends on your deck if you want a Ancient Rules sort of effect. ~British Soul~
Like Orgoth, I like the fact that it has no downsides, though it does have unfavourable results depending on when you draw this (or what you have in your hand), then again I suppose you wouldn't play this and risk not applying the result you get.. Atypical-Abbie
Interesting card for higher Level Decks, because it has no real downsides if you have a Level 5 or higher anywhere. Though still, it's a dice card, so unless you are playing something that can benefit from it, it's unlikely that it'll be worth using over more consistent cards. Spinny
I think this actually could really work well with dark world since they love all 3 effects for the most part, but they already have a lot of similar effects that work really well and i dont think the deck needs more. Dragulas
I can use this in D-Heroes, having monsters in GY is easy, additional monsters to summon too and mali (which is easy to search) exists. Might not be the best option but for fun purposes, I'll take it
Sunshine Jesse
It's a funny gimmick card, I'll give it that much, but you won't be in a situation where all 3 effects are desirable often enough for this to be considered anything other than a gimmick. ~ P O L A R I S ~
Much better to play in-theme summoning spells (as well as exceptional generics like Monster Reborn/Brilliant Fusion) where you know what result you'll get, you can plan your balance of cards that summon from the hand with those that summon from the GY, and you don't risk an unapplicable effect. OMG ESPECIALLY FURHIRES LOST YOUR NORMAL SUMMON MATEYS? WELL HERES TWO EFFECTS THAT EFFECTIVE UNBRICK YOUR HAND FOR WIZ/LAFARL AND ONE THAT CAN START YOUR COMBO OUT AGAIN WHATS GOOD
Mr. Best Male 2008
I feel like this is a card that if I see it in my hand I question "Why the funk is this in my hand". There are no negative rolls, but just the off chance that I'll see it and roll the number I can't use at a time gives me enough reasons to just not like this card. VCR_CAT
I feel like this is a card that if I see it in my hand I question "Why the funk is this in my hand". There are no negative rolls, but just the off chance that I'll see it and roll the number I can't use at a time gives me enough reasons to just not like this card. Not only that, but in any given combo I'm going to play a card and have a desired outcome. Typically, that outcome is just that the card goes through and the combo keeps going. I don't want a card that has a chance effect where, even if the alternatives still kind of benefit me, it means that I might not get the outcome I want even if the card goes through. Like, I get that it's not terribly difficult to have a deck or situation where all three conditions are met and it procs regardless, but in any of those situations you're going to have a step or result you want more than others. I don't want a 3-in-1 that depends on RNG, I want 3 of 1 that guarantee me a result. Listen, if you want a summon from the hand, run Saryuja. If you want a revival, run Monster Reborn or something in-theme. If you want another normal summon, there are a number of engines that grant that either to the same minus-1 degree (Double Summon, Rival Arrival) or to a greater benefit (Brilliant Fusion, potentially Symphonics). Run those instead.
