Just Curious About "New Card Maker"

So why does the New Card Maker not pertain to the same formating as the Original Card Maker as in being able to create groups by the card ID (Example ABCD, FMLO, etc, etc, etc) rather then having it be downloaded straight into the computer? Is this just a beta setup or is this how the New Card Maker is made to be? Cheers

The new cardmaker is being written by someone else than the old one. We only have it on a temporary storage site at the moment while it's being worked on, and while potentially including a database online save to save stuff, among other things, has been looked at, it's not a priority.
