Pendulum Effect:
If a Spellcaster monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

Monster Effect:
3 Level 5 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Gagagigo the Risen" you control as the Xyz Material. (Transfer its materials to this card.) If you can Pendulum Summon Level 5, you can Pendulum Summon this face-up card in your Extra Deck. Once per turn, when another monster's effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. If this card in the Monster Zone is destroyed: You can place it in your Pendulum Zone, and if you do, Special Summon 1 WATER monster with 1500 ATK or less from your Deck.

[spoiler=Commentary]I think most people who know me also know how much I love the Gagagigo storyline, so I wanted to try my hand at creating an Xyz Evolution to Gagagigo the Risen, and I figured what better way to do that than with an Xyz Pendulum? My main grievance with Gagagigo the Risen was that he has the same stats as Gogiga Gagagigo, so I wanted to raise the stats here. Seeing as the difference between Gagagigo and Giga Gagagigo's ATK is 600, and the difference between Giga and Gogiga is 500, I wanted to continue that trend and give Gogiga / Risen a 400 ATK boost. While I believe that those stats are a bit much for a Rank 5, I think the rather strict condition for the Xyz Evolution helps balance that out.

It's also high time that Gagagigo should have an effect, and given how the majority of the line are Normal Monsters, I wanted to give him an effect that plays on that, negating enemy effects so that they are as plain he once was. I also wanted to give him an additional effect when he moves to the Pendulum Zone, something that involved summoning a new monster in his stead, and I felt the most appropriate effect would be an allusion to Jigabyte, summoning a monster with 1500 ATK (Though also adding "or less" so there's more choices), while swapping the "and 200 DEF" part for a restriction to Water monsters.

Finally, the Pendulum effect is drawn from the Familiar-Possessed cards, though expanded to support any Spellcaster monster.

I am very far behind on the meta, so I apologize if any of my lore here is poorly constructed.

Not bad. Gagagigo the Risen is a cool card that I wish I could find a fun use for.

This would work nicely for my casual ideas. Something like Rank it up to this card and Offering to the Snake Deity. Getting a pretty decent high Scale and popping 2 cards, plus the search, which works well with Eria and her familiar.

Though the Eria theme being 1500 DEF instead of your card's 1500 or less ATK, so out of curiosity I just went looking for the potential most problematic targets to see if it's worth making the suggestion change. It'd be able to Summon all Gagagigos except the Level 8 one, and stuff like Bitelon (2400 piercer), Cranium Fish (2400 that discards WATERs to destroy set cards), Majioshaleon (2000 piercer that cannot be attacked if the opponent has backrow), Numen Erat Tetsudo (1800 Level 5 turtle that's a floodgate for special summons of 1800 or less ATK, and the biggest 2 monsters: Hyper Ancient Shark Megaloton (2900 ATK, Level 8, if it inflicts damage, it can destroy a monster) and Levia Dragon Daedalus (2600 Level 7, nukes field except itself if you pop Umi)..... Most wouldn't be much of an issue, many would be pretty fun beaters, and if anything, the effort to go for 3 Level 4s to make the play and follow the steps ensures it wouldn't be too much of a stretch... soooooo....

Yeah, I think it could work if I suggested that.... if it still sounded like a risky suggestion, it could probably get away with having negated effects... or have it be exactly 1500 DEF WATER, which keeps the Charmer, Giga Gagagigo, and Daedalus.

It has less targets than how it currently is but on the plus side it grabs stuff Mother Grizzley can't.

All in all, the card seems fun either way though.
