The Ever Expanding Graveyard (Pokémon Nuzlocke Blog)

Ouch, it's like the game is trying to make Elesa harder.

Also I hoped someone else besides me liked Join Avenue :(

Its more of a fact I just have usually sucked against Elesa. Was the only gym I got stuck on during my first White play through. For Join Avenue, its is mainly the fact I never really go back. I did spend a fair bit while I had White 2 on DS, but I usually use emulators for trying to speed run the game.

[spoiler=Chapter 12 - I Aim Above my Station]OTNnA9s.png

Well, once again it has been a few days mainly because I am focusing on getting coursework finished off and I just want to sleep when I get home. But here we are, the team is now at least level 40, so we can go fight Elesa.

9VF8Hds.png

Well this could be useful.

MDeZohZ.png

Where are Gym Leaders never in their gyms now?

OaeNQXC.png

Thank you, Clyde number 4. You are more useful than number 3.

oF6Fa9j.png

You can try mate.

yHc5ngO.png

This isn’t really fair now is it.

QshhTqt.png

In my experience I not allowed to. I’m not allowed to leg it if someone sees me.

FQpIJYY.png

That is not Elesa. Clyde 4 lied to me.

B3wJC9d.png

Yes.

nqjBkBQ.png

Clyde 4 can be spared then. Why I couldn’t have waited 15 minutes is beyond me.

3SWPjfz.png

Annoyed would be a more correct term. Time to attempt to solo with Kong.

1gDvG99.png

Time to kill the mascot. I also should’ve healed.

WoL2d2h.png

Emolga and Electrabuzz the biggest threats here, Elekids on the other hand aren’t.

nQgY5qd.png

Thought so.

Kt7iO31.png

This shouldn’t be hard at all.

4EJrXcZ.png

Electroball may be dangerous.

3Wn8LPb.png

Trainer number 2.

JszTApY.png

One of the best electric types, shame I have to kill it.

bZ8TarS.png

Fleming wants to make her life difficult doesn’t she.

sl6oVs4.png

Look at the sheep.

RS72NqP.png

Bloody confusion.

1mtyUsQ.png

Electric dog versus gluttonous bear.

H7ug721.png

The bear wins. Time to heal.

xL3t8Ed.png

That can happen.

No3DTn2.png

Number 1 was easy.

VMxifbi.png

Number 2 was annoying with Camouflage.

CnB8QL0.png

Inverted Pokéball wasn’t difficult.

KeEpsQJ.png

Using you Pokémon as a bulldozer is one way to start clearing a gym.

VvHnPgr.png

None of mine particularly shine. I do have a Victory Star though.

USzFJRq.png

Blonde Elesa is better.

IztmHYY.png

How to deal with this.

wtgeBWz.png

It ran away, so time to do the same. This thing has Cross Chop.

CInxEXE.png

And the first KO goes to me.

syEJWl5.png

Time to hit its weakness.

UMdgxWj.png

Air Balloon does not help against blades made of leaves.

7Lt554V.png

I have 7 levels on this, so things should go fine.

VmyJyYs.png

Bounce was annoying. Paralyzing on the first hit.

nWItcno.png

Now hopefully nothing bad happens here.

MRY5Szd.png

It ran away, putting both the Cotton Guards it used to waste.

PHOt0Nk.png

The annoyance has started.

m6mFP4y.png

Hurray for the crit.

kkuAG1Z.png

And it is over.

6IWRU0o.png

I don’t think using a bear as a bulldozer can be classed as sweet. It could knock you off your feet though.

QNuQu7k.png

Bolt Badge and Volt Switch get.

YV43Ni3.png

Yes, yes. I am wonderful. Time to find the tourist.

2BOdNCI.png

While running around trying to find the tourist we find another Pokémon. I’ll come back for it.

XjsDtvs.png

Found you. Time for MacCumail to shine.

F44DbO0.png

We begin. Magma snail vs Fish.

0jY9ITe.png

It used Shell Smash, just to get hit by a Quiver Dance, Rain Boosted Water Pulse.

bHi2kL7.png

More 4x weak to water.

QikAcbn.png

That was a completely predicable outcome.

wg4dCvW.png

Rain (and being 10 levels higher) is very useful.

jIwlJSW.png

I am probably a bit too high in terms of level.

DJ3KdfA.png

That was easy.

9ogVVTk.png

This lot can be dealt with later. I want that Meloetta first.

OeyRkJ6.png

God, this was a terrible idea.

aUiR9UJ.png

Very bad.

9wsAAzg.png

I ran from it. Baron has a Special bulk of 249 and Kong 260, so being able to shave away 123hp was bad. So that is one legendary I have probably lost. From now on I should consult the documents provided before challenging a legendary. It wasn't even suppose to appear before I talk to a Veteran after fight Kyurem. That was terrible mistake. Well, next time we can see what Team Plasma is doing.

We now reach the 13th chapter in this blog where things are suppose to die a lot, which hasn't been happening as much as it was. Which could be a good or bad thing.

[spoiler=Chapter 13 - A Legend Dies]BoYpapK.png

Last time we left off we cleared the Nimbasa Gym and fought Flannery. Then I stupidly went a fought Melotta, which went brilliantly. So, I am probably one “end-game” legendary down. Any right now we have Team Plasma to deal with before we can move one. Time to put Crush to use.

7GdcykQ.png

Hugh, they are thieves. It shouldn’t be hard to guess.

s3Jiboy.png

Well, they aren’t lying.

G4bZVu0.png

Why did you ask that?

dnCGGHN.png

Hurray, you pissed him off. I want no part in this.

BvYAfgR.png

I don’t want to be lumped with Hugh.

la50MoR.png

Hugh, the man has a point. You are like 12. Those are four adults. Remove the Pokémon from the equation and you don’t win.

7neXSFq.png

Hugh, you dug your own grave. I just want to move on and spend a while running around Charizard Bridge to find a Pokémon.

tQ0yRjx.png

Cool, why am I the only one affected by the Obedience mechanic here. These are not the original trainers.

abCNgiy.png

Crush is a bit on the low side, being quite a few levels below the rest of my team but it’s a Scraggy. I should be fine.

7yFNj3K.png

Almost was a OHK.

WiWH99T.png

Since Crush had nothing good against this, Ares can burn it.

SNy3jYq.png

That was close. Mixed up Mirror Shot and Metal Burst for a minute, so I thought Crush was going to have a very early exit.

dAMEpsg.png

Neither will I. Now did I remember to buy healing items.

5mXsOvs.png

It’s a Beldum. X-Scissor and Brick Break hit for neutral, so hopefully nothing bad happens before I can kill it.

uya8CUf.png

Hurray for Beldum’s every only having Take Down for some reason. It still managed to crit though, and kill itself at the same time.

UPo8h40.png

X-Scissor should kill this. But first more healing.

PdCD2bt.png

I do like Crush.

52QDp7t.png

The final is a Scolipede, which Crush can’t really do anything against. So Sal it is.

DZeTehE.png

That was not hard at all.

ktjEawF.png

You could easily use physical force, but that apparently isn’t an option.

TvwpGIA.png

Ooh, what? Do tell.

3ALsEae.png

Well, you’re not an idiot.

Jsuw84w.png

Hugh, the villains didn’t monologue. You don’t get to.

eiqnPrs.png

Well, sucks to be you. Also stop monologuing.

7dDIMOT.png

Hugh, has anyone told you that you have a great career in a PokéCenter ahead of you.

0LDUhcd.png

Or since I am better than you, you back me up.

ZziGE7Z.png

After healing up, we are back to Route 5.

uKc4Bcw.png

Oh look, a dancer. 3 X-Scissors later and I win.

YutsOPP.png

Now for a musician. Who also died to Crush. He also gave us an Electric Guitar.

d8ADGhI.png

I wonder what is going on here.

4h1MZZ4.png

You have the title of Ace Trainer. Don’t go forcing your troubles onto me.

g5bGaSx.png

Now for my first Rotation Battle in this Nuzlocke.

7JJtiiS.png

I want that Krokorok.

lpHq6V2.png

It is a complete shame I can’t get his Krokorok.

oLxTesP.png

What is it now?

ozlNUHQ.png

Team Plasma: Civil War. Coming to a theatre near you.

fIHJ5R4.png

You operated on the platform of freeing Pokémon, yet you stole and used them as your own through force. Your entire operation was filled with hypocrisy.

QF8PPcQ.png

Hugh, they were blissfully unaware that I was standing right here gathering information. You’re an idiot.

mt3VRQE.png

That is an idea. There are things I need to first. Like fish, go to route 6 or get better Fire-moves on Ares.

Zc9saTN.png

Mate, I don’t want to enter, I want the Move Reminder. I need Fire-moves for Ares.

j8qN2VQ.png

I don’t wanna. Though, it is a simple matter of Leaf Blading my way through with Baron.

EtwJJJJ.png

You really do have to jump through hopes and do stuff before the gyms don’t you.

F6ln65T.png

Anyway, Route 6 means another catch. They also got rid of the Driftviel fishing spot in these games.

oIU0o3P.png

I care so little for this, I am going to kill it.

XTNpowW.pngFghJikq.png

The next two weren’t worth it either, Tranquil would’ve been acceptable. Honestly, Deerling is the only Pokémon I really care about here. Same it is currently Spring, Winter Sawsbuck looks the best.

lOZYfwL.png

Free Experience. She has a Chansey. Which means I found my farming method. Clay shouldn’t be that hard, as Baron, Yuri and MacCumail are all Super-effective against him.

TRHK8o5.png

I have an Upgrade. I can use that Porygon. However, since my team is full it can wait. Anyway, let’s head back to see what Team Plasma want.

11a9zY0.png

Forced interest yes. Clay isn’t at the gym, the Pokémon World Tournament isn’t ready yet, and I am pretty sure I won’t be able to do much at Chargestone Cave.

7VdmWSf.png

Experience is always welcome.

U8pzfbT.png

A Stoutland. Dies to Storm Throw.

Lk3NVcn.png

I want to kill this a lot.

0ZbEnDD.png

Since it had Energy Ball, I did cut my plans short a bit. Couldn’t risk a crit.

ZecOAyM.png

And finally, a Buffalo.

GgygKOZ.png

It had to survive a Water Pulse + 3 Quiver Dances, and have Wild Charge didn’t it.

kFg6oRO.png

Well, revenge is sweet.

DjeCVlG.png

I now have more reason to hate you than the evil Team Plasma. They haven’t killed any of my Pokémon yet.

XxyXyDu.png

Hugh, he has directly killed one of mine. Calm down. I am still pissed at him. I will gladly take that Zorua though. Time to bury MacCumail. The Irish legend shall always be remembered.

qQ3f4l9.png

Only problem is, I can’t name this. So, should I use it or not? Nature is good though.

agEQlbJ.png

Here we have Lulu. Nature is eh, being faster is nice, but at the expense of Sp.Atk isn’t as nice. Shiny though.

RSeY77g.png

I can also insta-evolve it. And since there are no moves lost by doing so.

iFK1Kc2.png

Lulu has now become a duck. Now to wait until Route 9 for the Dubious Disk. The damn shopping mall has everything I need, and it is late game.

pyoo36f.png

And that shall leave us for this chapter. We gain a Zorua and a Shiny Porygon, at the expense of a living legend. So, shall I use the Zorua, considering I cannot give it a nickname as its OT is N, or basically bury it? Either way, next time we take on Clay in Driftveil Gym and enter the PWT.

MacCumail, the Lumineon. Also from now one I am going to immortalise the dead with Gijinkas.

"Hugh, has anyone told you that you have a great career in a PokéCenter ahead of you."

This line killed me lol

Also I like the gijinka idea.

...tbh I didn't expect anything to die with your levels that high, welp

I just suck at these games half the time, either through cockiness or under planning, Throw Nuzlocke rules onto that, and I am probably going to die at some point.

[spoiler=Chapter 14 - Driftveil Slaughter Fest]ywFKSye.png

Last time we found out about the Team Plasma dispute, lost MacCumail, and got two new Pokémon. Now that that is finished, we can take on Clay at the Gym. Which is also going to be used to level Vodka, the Blitzle for the next gym. So, with Crush and Vodka with my two Exp Shares, it is time to begin.

4wS1IWx.png

Thank you for rubbing it in. Rood killed my Water, all I have is two Grass-types as super-effectives.

x2gSFZY.png

More bottled water.

rQOSY6n.png

This guy fights because he believes he can win. Time to crush that belief.

r4VDXZn.png

This is not going to go well for him.

NsBgeR1.png

Look at you with your Study, it didn’t really help.

ZZqPkSD.png

Damn the Diglett for not having enough health for Baron to fully recover.

WKnmvzz.png

Thankfully Sandshrew exists.

MAzmYgW.png

Well, Cubone no longer has to miss its mother.

Bme5OzN.png

Now for the next trainer.

ybQzCtj.png

Unlike the previous trainer’s Geodude, this doesn’t have Study to save it from Baron’s 4x effective STAB.

M8kqeeK.png

Being part Ice does not help you win.

ggFJ1Lf.png

Damn Gligar surviving a hit, allowing it to use Acrobatics.

4gKZVb8.png

However, health pool Quagsire is here to help.

xKFMBnU.png

Our third opponent is Tibor.

Li71oQA.png

This gym dies easily. Being at least 10 levels higher than the gym trainers with a STAB move does that.

5cU5nAY.png

More things with a 4x weakness.

ny2boK8.png

Leaf Blade and Giga Drain only hit for normal damage, Dragon Breath on the other hand doesn’t.

yQ7Mhdb.png

Now for our fourth challenge.

oxPR01j.png

I may have killed the Cubone’s mother.

eFEn77h.png

Grass snake beats Rock snake.

9EzcTUB.png

However, Grass snake doesn’t really work against Steel snake, Fire on the other hand works very well.

hjUPYqZ.png

Now, will anyone have a Graveller.

p5MJnvW.png

We managed to get Vodka to evolve at any rate.

3llHveB.png

I found Clay, but since there are still some areas unexplored, and I want to heal before fighting, we leave him right after arriving.

naxQRIl.png

This guy has the highest level of any of the gym trainers, though has the same chance of victory.

UEQggJZ.png

Gligars and Gliscors are probably the most irritating thing in this gym now. I have no Ice or Water moves.

d3NDwKo.png

I believe this guy is the last one.

2I1EGgN.png

Almost one shot this with a crit, but Thunder Bolt doesn’t do much to Grass/Dragons. So it died with no trouble.

ttPdWQ4.png

This managed to get off a Shadow Ball, which still didn’t do much. Ice moves are the most dangerous.

lAqqWQv.png

Was one short. I do need to heal after this, Baron is running low on Leaf Blade and Giga Drain.

vXbfg49.png

4x Weakness, STAB, and it critted. I overkilled it for health.

qPjkxOx.png

Baron fears no Fire-type.

pbOlT91.png

Nor baby hippos.

392GlCD.png

I want that Krokorok.

LttvrTn.png

After healing we are back to fight Clay. Was wanting to buy a Dire Hit so I could crit spam, with Leaf Blade and the Scope Lens providing a 25% crit chance, with the Dire Hit bringing it up to 50%, but no. I need access to Shopping Mall Nine, or spend time grinding up the Market in Join Avenue. Anyway, time to continue.

n9PmMmp.png

Clay had barely any pre-battle dialogue.

8EcX0MV.png

Turns out I am blind, and had a Dire Hit. This shall be fun.

XZmyZks.png

So, at the cost of there now being a Sandstorm, Baron has a 50% chance to crit with Leaf Blade, and 33.3% with any other move.

tqhl9vh.png

This has Sheer Force and a Life Orb. It also has Ice Beam. It may be the death of me.

eGjheoo.png

I won the crit coin flip.

qS0MVy2.png

This also has Ice Beam.

NjtEkai.png

More crits.

K87jfp9.png

Look at you trying to survive.

lIvMRKy.png

Well, it died.

MCGuqqj.png

Well, unless you Excadrill kills Baron, there will be no hard feelings.

V6FFRSY.png

This thing is fast.

duZeKjW.png

It also survived a Leaf Blade. This may hurt.

5U8ZLF2.png

Clay is going to kill me.

hH7KIty.png

I have nothing which can outspeed this thing. Rock Slide kills Crush and Sal, Earthquake kills Vodka, and basically anything will kill Yuri. I should’ve invested in Ulysses. A Blastoise may’ve been useful. My hope relies on it missing with Rock Slide.

ClOUPv2.png

And thus, we lose to Clay and his stupidly fast Excadrill. Which after looking, has Sand Rush. My damn cockiness got me killed. I should’ve just killed the Krookodile.

14yrmX2.png

So, after saying I would read the documents which comes with the patch, and having them open, I promptly forget that Sand Rush is a thing, and just believe that the Excadrill has 140 Spd, rather than less than 102, cause Sal could out speed it after the sandstorm disappeared. So, if I realised that, I could've won with Ares. But no, I screwed up big time. A level 42 Excadrill with a Speed+ Nature with 252 EVs in Speed wouldn't have been able to  out speed Baron, coming up to 129, whereas Baron is 139. So, that went remarkably well. Was my longest run, now to figure out what to do for the next entry.

Well, I have now decided on the next thing to do after losing to Clay because I forgot Sand Rush was a thing. It is time to begin anew in a new region.

[spoiler=Chapter 15 - A New Golden Start]Ia2qMrj.png

We have failed in an Emerald Moemon Randomiser, and in Blaze Black 2. Now we head to the Johto reason, for possibly more pain, as we now do a Nuzlocke of Sacred Gold.

DhqvI9p.png

Oh look, Oak.

2S4ZZ5l.png

Yes, that is my name.

6cksIU5.png

This piece of mail is not important whatsoever.

njTqTwr.png

Early Running Shoes.

AzsbTS7.png

Early bicycle. Also, I don’t have to hold done X to run.

bIMJRUD.png

Time to talk to Elm.

gxffVU1.png

Suspicious person found.

CEHNS32.png

Yes, that is what the mail box says.

uiPFlNX.png

You are staring through the window or a lab, dressed in black, at night. Forgive me for being suspicious.

ojVUSBL.png

The guy tossed me. I don’t like him.

ItZUcCa.png

You do know that there is a suspicious boy looking through your window, right?

kNlnH2p.png

Cool, I get a Pokémon on the sole condition that I keep it outside of its Pokéball.

wSw2Ycg.png

Now I am an errand boy.

q59n3Io.pngYH55XNz.pngoaatQVu.png

I don’t like Chikorita, and since the only changes to the starters are moves and abilities, I am going for Totodile because it has Guts now.

25UUO8p.png

I have taken 5 steps. That is not enough for any data.

IIiNlpc.png

Hasty is fine as a Nature, Jolly would’ve been better as Friedrich is a physical attacker anyway.

2WMPluj.png

More free stuff. That is running shoes, a bike, GB Sounds, a Pokémon, and now potions. All before I have even left the town.

VCxW3xN.png

I have been promoted to chief errand boy by Elm, I don’t have time to waste.

H4Qmdpy.png

You can never escape, can you?

tMX9pDf.png

Yes, he does. So, can I leave now?

ohRuftQ.png

Now that our mum has finished marvelling over the invention of the mobile phone, we can finally leave.

XYqt4eI.png

Dammit. They don’t want me to leave.

a1mgJbQ.png

I am not going to make use of this.

cxQSwhg.png

Now for our first battle. Which goes easily.

XHxQWeY.png

I go heal and all sprites become negative.

iygjDAS.png

I think the game broke.

aiz9eYc.png

And it is back. Restarting the ROM works.

4pWrzNa.png

Oh yeah, Pokéball crafting exists here.

epmSSN9.png

Have pockets not been invented yet? Do I not own a bag? Why do I need a specific item to take fruit?

soUbYqA.png

My only interest is the PokéCenter and I know where it is.

TPaGnfi.png

Well, I did get an old rod out of following him, so that is fine. I can catch a Magikarp.

Yo2SXe7.png

Damn Pokéballs being locked until the catching tutorial.

MnIGgQa.png

I need to remember Kricketots only have Bide during early levels. Cause that hurt.

DvyXwvk.png

I can now grab Apricorns.

6lwG6Zo.png

It doesn’t look like a big battle.

gYxy2As.png

Well, look who it is.

NEWpikP.png

Didn’t ask, nor care. Can you please step away from the door?

v01Ptvb.png

That is not overly specific, but probably. So basically, Red exists, and the archaeology of Johto proves that, somehow.

M4bOBf9.png

Yes, but can you move. I have to collect something. You are holding me up.

9qduhsy.png

Now, all I need is a Fire Stone, or a Chilled Ore, depending on nature.

dX5sOF5.png

That took a while but she is finally leaving.

xTmoIyN.png

Yup, that is a Flareon. An Adamant or Jolly nature would’ve been preferred, but Naughty is acceptable.

puEme9r.png

That I am. I would’ve arrived earlier, but one of your guests was camping outside to ambush me.

etxjSR5.png

Turns out I am delivering dinner.

GwA0aTT.png

Oh, its Oak.

t5u95gm.png

Why are people so interested in me?

nVYq43Q.png

It never is, is it?

BHxpHy8.png

Having a reason would be good, but I do have to go back anyway.

iGEJGsE.png

Oh look, the suspicious person. I haven’t forgiven you.

V0JoRWc.png

His name shall be Passerby from now on.

iSVwAWn.png

Well, that adds to his suspicious nature.

zj3Jjmy.png

Adaptability sped that up a bit.

oH77LqE.png

Yes, yes, I do.

U6CUG5d.png

That isn’t a name.

GIb6piB.png

Well, I have your name now. That is all that matters.

bcYL2Di.png

That is a terrible rule, I suspect the person has just left Cherrygrove by now.

qlaay3n.png

No, they were in Cherrygrove.

z1xA1rM.png

Yes, I also told Elm that the boy was looking through his windows.

fxq0uOl.png

It doesn’t fit. So, let’s omit the ‘e’.

Xi3rPtz.png

Yes, it was.

KTifcIi.png

That it is. You could make an omelette from it.

3dS5DUC.png

Ah, parental permission. Something which is very easy to get in this world.

pzxmQ8G.png

Is your name Bank? But yes, you can save money.

s7tdMiz.png

And that finishes us for this chapter. Next time we head towards Violet city to take on the Pokémon Gym.

We now continue on with our Johto Journey.

[spoiler=Chapter 16 - The Catch Fest]vPr8s0T.png

Last time we got our starter, a gift from Cynthia, and were accused of stealing something. It was nice of Elm to not defend us, instead it was the friend character. So, now we can move on to Violet City for the first gym.

Fhwsc9r.png

Oh boy, I wonder what is happening now.

NvOIvO7.png

What you are doing is not showing me how to catch a Pokémon, and I am completely fine with that.

1tE2XPF.png

Not at all. So, I don’t need you to do it again.

fApZQOE.png

Praise the lord. The catching tutorial was skipped. Now we can catch something.

P3EY3IM.png

I could’ve got a Zigzagoon or a Poochyena, but no. I get a rat.

JBBKxre.png

Damn it. Oh well, there is water in New Bark Town.

mjofvql.png

We have a bite.

mcMzjF9.png

Predictable, but we could’ve got a Shellder (35%) or a Chinchou (5%). Either would’ve been nice.

dyZqmHu.png

It actually has moves.

L0V8SC1.png

Special Attacker you shall be.

AH6bj32.png

Now for our third potential catch.

HLR7oGu.png

This could come in handy.

KyGenb9.png

It is gen 4 so Study sucks, nature is kind of eh, but a Rock type is good to have for the first couple of gyms. Time to heal and train a bit.

MzjLMMK.png

RIP Garth, you won’t really be missed. Hurray for Wrumple crits.

GyS2iS3.png

Time for our Cherrygrove catch.

UEtkmFf.png

Well, it isn’t a Magikarp

SHEwpaw.png

This Krabby is now tied for my highest level.

Kna4yo0.png

That nature ain’t that great. Anyway, onwards to route 30.

0pm0JFJ.png

Oh, look. Another Water-type. Maybe I should’ve picked Cyndaquil.

5QaA3Qz.png

Still, it will have a use.

bjQ9bMa.png

More neutral natures.

VDK3brg.png

We now begin our second trainer battle.

aob0Nn9.png

Youngster Joey and his Rattata.

qrGr1lB.png

Was faster but Adaptability Tackle killed it.

mWVFEvN.png

And now he wants our phone number.

P5LF9cA.png

Oooh, flower power. My team is mainly composed of Pokémon which are weak to Grass.

Nz6V3jU.png

However, I don’t think this will be a problem.

SmjurWU.png

Okay, so not all of them are going to be Grass. Still doesn’t change anything.

VbF5Nap.png

RIP my potential Flareon. Why did Bullet Seed have to hit 5 times? Now all I can do is hope for another Eevee.

gVn4Djg.png

Revenge is sweet.

DUpIzaV.png

Finally, a Cherubi which didn’t do all that much.

RLNsBKO.png

I got a Lotad instead of this. I could’ve done with a Galade. Anyway, time for training.

mODKiTB.png

I spy with my little eye more glitches.

wsBUgK5.png

Good, ‘cause I need Friedrich to gain levels.

23k5TuC.png

Look at the Jigglypuff.

AnxCTCD.png

Can I say, screw Cute Charm. Makes the battle longer.

uRvjF5o.png

One dead Skitty.

LFAoQie.png

Ella’s 28 Atk is nice.

vkb2T3R.png

We can now get another Pokémon.

tt3pWFw.png

Dammit.

oPgI9lv.png

And another one.

4pwHyUE.png

Dammit. I’m not using the dupe clause, so hurray for me. I can now breed rocks.

1R2uLPX.png

Or not. Nothing of value was lost.

2S6jJ8T.png

Anyway, Alan is fine I guess. Still don’t care for him.

pOqlvIW.png

Well, that is what you Bug Catchers do isn’t it.

8ykUzta.png

He had nothing of interest. But he is offering berries for our phone number. So that is nice.

p7x1cay.png

I could’ve got a Shinx, but no. I got a bloody Ledyba.

k9iNshx.png

I am so close to a PokéCenter. I don’t want distractions.

0E2ud7a.png

She got annoyed I got ahead of her, and gave me the Vs Recorder. Now PokéCenter time.

P3QVgLw.png

We caught a bunch of stuff, and lost a few things. I do not like Alan. I could’ve got a Shinx, which is so much better. Cause Luxray is part Dark, and gains a boost to Speed, and is just awesome. I also want my Eevee back.

[spoiler=Chapter 17 - One Flock, Lots of Rocks]54OhNRr.png
We now begin our third chapter in the Johto region, where we will be looking around Violet City. But first we have a phone call.

h6rQ6Zc.png
I am awake. I am nocturnal here.

K5KcKCW.png
Then get gym badges.

Cc2JteU.png
He didn’t find any berries. That is the sole reason he is in my phone.

33haNS7.png
I would, but I have no Ryhorn.

box9pdd.png
I’ll be coming back here later. TheBoulder needs a Rock-type move first.

k6ePtO2.png
Well, we can catch a Pokémon.

dcg1YZZ.png
This will come in handy.

rkTuoxI.png
That is now two Pokémon who can be of good use against Falkner.

2c2Wk89.png
Rash is decent I guess, I would’ve preferred it if Speed was lowered. Time to train as Falkner out levels me.

10aC0rN.png
We have our first evolution.

Qqd9ptD.png
And a second evolution. Didn’t know Lotads evolved at level 14. Now just to finish training Alan.

cc7tNs8.png
Forgot there was water in Violet City, so time to fish.

uBuj3G9.png
We found a replacement for Garth at any rate.

4wWOtuN.png
We now have our replacement.

zQZIY00.png
Neutral nature, but since I already have 3 Water-types in my party, Gracia can remain boxed for now.

Wqy5YQ0.png
Damn it. Are gym leaders always out of their gyms?

GvstRJN.png
Apparently, we have to go through Sprout Tower first. So, more training it is, as well as another catch.

38CRzZx.png
This is a nice find. Could’ve got a Drifloon though.

WSCeKVb.png
Uproar hurts. Crit on TheBoulder, and done a fair amount to Lara.

PgyA1iL.png
Not sure on the Nature, but Uproar is a 90 power move, and 27 Sp.Atk is respectable right now. So goodbye Alan.

InVBBAW.png
Wade found berries.

ywoOdK8.png
Sitrus Berries are good.

SMXUijz.png
And we now have our third evolution. Hurray for fodder trainers.

f9rGcXx.png
Now for a phone call from our mum.

KmWoRix.png
That is not why I gave you my money. Why don’t banks exist?

6YnvHbf.png
Well, the Pokémart we go. Right after I finish this tower.

c9SC89g.png
Oh, look who it is. The thief, Passrby.

lvwmeWq.png
Well mate, have I got news for you.

xaThs7n.png
You were beaten by a person I beat. Everything should be fine.

m7xNqeK.png
Uproar is going to make this simple, isn’t it?

LUhgRV0.png
Yeah, it is.

bmVBSpp.png
It needs nerfed.

179PWQx.png
Uproar is too powerful.

Zf3J3gm.png
Yes, just get Alice to shout and make noise. Works every time.

e3pWdhz.png
Flareon, however I no longer have an Eevee. And since Lombres evolve from a Water Stone, let’s lie and say Vaporeon.

TiDXce7.png
Free Water Stone.

6WOtDHM.png
And we get Flash. Which is the boring reward.

ewUqr24.png
I also beat the crap out of it. Now to proceed to clear Falkner’s Gym.

2lw9RVH.png
This does not seem safe at all.

WtuqkDV.png
 Look at the bird.

8flnQHr.png
Rock beats bird. Rinse and Repeat on a Pidgey and Doduo

efMwx0w.png
They are underestimating the power of rocks.

dRJP8vk.png
Look at that, TheBoulder wants a move that is not good for a Nuzlocke.

huGMhSW.png
And I am the guy who throws rocks at birds.

pKbIji3.png
Rocks work as well, but lightning is fun too.

e1cERAy.png
 Time to murder a birdman.

WnwrHWK.png
A full team. Time for fun.

44k7JiH.png
 Look, it’s his ace.

fgx26yh.png
 It’s dead.

fkkG03F.png
 Once again. Uproar can hurt.

iAoMQSM.png
The Swablu had to have Solar Beam and hold a Power Herb didn’t it.

T3rIkmk.png
 Uproar still exists though.

oeQkwbe.png
 It is very useful.

y90y3Bx.png
 Very useful. That damn Swablu.

dx3Ll4E.png
Roost is useful, because I have no Pokémon which can learn it.

W7Fb1Qp.png
I wonder what it could be?

PFggqN3.png
 I was getting hungry.

FNnREow.png
 Cool, a Super Potion.

KAGtK4g.png
Time to get this egg to hatch.

hDNrcNM.png
First of all, who are you?

4kLa3PE.png
Well, mystery woman left without a word on her identity, and now here is Flakner.

ddVLauw.png
Who wanted to give us his phone number.

eYcdfum.png
Here we have Terry, the Togepi. So, I’ll be ignoring it until I get the Exp Share. Too much of a pain to level without it.

ANTyuCq.png
And that is us. Next time we will proceed on to Azalea Town, as well as going to the Alph Ruins. It is also when I am actually uploading this a few hours later, that I realise Alice is male.

  • 6 months later...

Time to reopen the Ever Expanding Graveyard, considering the grave digger has been absent for the past half year. Much like my life during high school. I have had this entry done since mid-June but due to having to clear up the house during that time as I was moving I promptly forgot about it. Anyway, here we move on from Violet City after shouting a gym to death.

[spoiler=Chapter 18 - We Go Dungeoneering]vNmeKGk.png

We now begin our 4th chapter in Johto. Terry has been boxed, as I don’t have a reliable way to train him, so we can now head towards the Ruins of Alph.

sECXvfo.png

This is a weird tree. It dances.

xvJWIAz.png

Not really, no.

cLmqYm0.png

I much prefer Rock Smash as a TM. Anyway, Alice now has Rock Smash. And if I remember correctly, there was a boulder in Violet City.

cPYxcUk.png

That bolder gave us access to a hidden Hyper Potion. Anyway, with Route 36 offering nothing currently, we can head south from it to the Ruins of Alph.

cqZaD14.png

Another Hyper Potion. I don’t really need these yet.

1gLRB9G.png

Apparently Unown can’t be found right now. So, let’s explore.

Iurcuh7.png

Well, this is ominous.

H2kH23l.png

Oooh, a puzzle.

hIAYrTp.png

I am going to break my legs now, aren’t I.

h4amFuK.png

That I did. It wasn’t hard. The question is, why did it have to dump me down a level. That could’ve hurt.

n8JTYzQ.png

I can capture 1 Unown here. Not 28.

CpJrzAZ.png

Hurray. I’m being watched by a sentient alphabet.

6o8y3Ya.png

So, my catch is Unown E. Thankfully, Unown do get a boost to BST and moves which end in Power.

kynHmqo.png

I have caught a letter.

809H2bx.png

That nature is good for Secret Power, but Sp.Atk would’ve been preferred.

mqEOY8i.png

After healing up and doing another quick run around the Ruins of Alph, discovering we need surf before we can do anything else, we are back to Route 32.

L8kK39g.png

I have one damaging Grass move, and since Absorb isn’t the best in terms of damage, this could help.

WkrpH2s.png

After a healthy dose of training, and finding out that El’s Hidden Power is most likely Water, this shouty man, gives us TM05 Roar. Which will never be used.

W6e7EYq.pngAmVfLCV.png

Well, Parasol lady, I don’t think I am tough, just that most others are weaker. And Ruin Maniac, good for you.

qjVS0gU.png

Well, this shouldn’t be hard. Ice Fang for the Sandshrew, and Psybeam for the Mareep.

ZgyoKCZ.png

Well would you look at that, they didn’t die. The Sandshrew basically died though.

oOOjwjU.png

The Onix is most definitely dying this turn.

KX6vIBH.png

Yup, didn’t fully expect the Drifloon to die in one hit, but that does save PP.

ggEovcC.png

By interrupting a phone call, we get a battle.

TtJbmNJ.png

Which went fairly easily. Now to get this poison healed.

8f0vF8n.png

Now will this fisherman be a challenge?

odRoXPq.png

The answer is no, he wasn’t.

UpdfGOt.png

Food is good.

exqxfTz.png

Or maybe not.

i0Tq9L7.png

You thought wrong then mate.

RDR94AR.png

That I did. Electric sheep and a dizzy panda makes the world go round.

5H0qfBM.png

Well, he wasn’t difficult.

laLp4Wf.png

We can now get another catch.

R6Ll3ve.png

Well, this could be nice.

IlXymdF.png

Something else with Uproar. This is going to be fun. Now to the PokéCenter right outside.

Rb71jRE.png

Would’ve preferred it if Sp.Atk got a boost, but Uproar has been a great move so far, and will probably have better Sp.Atk than Alice has after William evolves so El can go back in the box.

pgBb2Fu.png

After dealing with a couple of hikers and a collector, we get through Union Cave, though I will be heading pack to train up William, and whoever I catch here.

30rCGYJ.png

I am perfectly fine with this catch.

TVKbAFs.png

A flying type will help a lot, considering I have a Bug Gym next.

Ip2ipI0.png

I wonder what is happening here.

7yH92IR.png

Oh, it’s the salad thieves, not the reshape the universe, create an world entire made of land/water, or other over the top thieves.

22wpnJ4.png

This must be the exposition grunt.

CuJGS2J.png

Good for you. Anyway, this grunt does nothing else, so onwards, to the PokéCenter.

UbLOK2W.png

Neutral nature is fine. Now I just need to get some flying type moves.

kwmwEam.pngoZBlBXV.png

I have in fact, someone tried to sell it to me. So, can I get in to the gym?

cc0gRpl.png

Nope. Time to run around and see what needs to be done. Though that can what until next time. Probably will train up William and Kumano off-screen, and hopefully get a flying-type move other than roost.

Next chapter will hopefully be up tomorrow, or whenever I can be bothered to actually do it which hopefully won't be in another 6 months.

In our next step to rediscover commitment, we carry on through Johto.

[spoiler=Chapter 19 - Time to Start a Business]HmnhhUm.png

Well, we left off in Azalea City unable to get into the Gym, with it being blocked off by Team Salad. And since that was 6 months ago, and I haven’t played Heart Gold in years anyway, time to run around and see what I need to do again. Grind up William and Kumano a few levels to 20 would probably be a good start.

irb6ip3.png

First let’s see who Kurt is. Because everyone knows that if you have a letter box you are somewhat important.

g3z5Is5.png

Oh, he creates Pokéballs. I may have use for him.

iAcM5RQ.png

And now for a call from Falkner, who basically blathers on about bird Pokémon but offers no actual advise.

YM5LTDs.png

I spy another suspicious person.

uebxanj.png

I am brilliant at finding things.

2Ti2GfE.png

So, he confesses to being a ex-thief, and promotes thievery. And gives us TM46 Thief. Anyway, let’s steal Kurt’s Apricorn.

jX2tzD2.png

They’re the salad people, right?

J3w1Nqj.png

Unethical farming? Who would’ve thought it.

OmI7I6b.png

Go on Kurt, they have knives or saws or something. They also out number you. I must also assume as this old man is going to enact vigilante judgement on these unethical salad people, that there is no police force. Anyway, thankfully that moves the plot along.

fvMT1TJ.png

So, before going to the well let’s carry on being a tourist. Next stop, a Charcoal Kiln.

Y7ZnjPv.png

Turns out the charcoal people are convinced that some spirit or something is angry, because the Slowpokes have gone poof. So, let’s see if Kurt is alright.

ZXlqYhR.png

He has only went a got himself paralyzed. Though the Salad guard was probably very new. He ran when someone shouted at him.

3EajjA5.png

I expect compensation. Such as free Pokéballs. Anyway, since this is a new area, it means a new catch.

eh7W7dD.png

We get a Slowpoke. Turns out they haven’t disappeared. You just need to climb down a well.

gCb5X8C.png

We now have a Slowpoke, who we shall call Tristan. I seem to be collecting Water-types a bit.

s5bnMeE.png

We now prepare to fight the first in a series of salad people.

ji0j2yF.png

It’s the coward.

GEKMCyL.png

I’m going to shout at it.

sc4vnMB.png

Shouting worked.

U6fk3T0.png

Time to shock the bat.

Ur6V1C8.png

Remember, do be careful when handling live electricity.

j0LUOxY.png

Battle of the reptiles. Friedrich is superior though.

DWT8Ivq.png5DhdAzJ.png

How about a lucrative chain of salad bars? Was animal mutilation really your first thought?

XN6OUIz.png

Healing items are always nice.

VHFkBdE.pngZRvKO94.png

Yes, that I do. And sure, I’ll go ahead and defeat you.

E5wX0jw.png

Toxic sludge versus normal crab.

JYKMXIk.png

Crab wins, thankfully. Toxic sludge had both mud-slap and minimize, which could’ve gotten annoying.

yHjPBVa.png

Round 2, dog versus crab.

9jZgNEd.png

Crab wins, and will have to bow out, as she is down 4 accuracy levels because of bloody Sand Attack.

al2GifT.png

But everything is fine, because Friedrich is here.

OOKlOKU.png

You have got to hand it to them, they found an organic product, which grows quickly and apparently tastes delicious. They do have a somewhat good business sense. The only downsides are the extremely high prices and the animal mutilation.

EJOGutj.png

And with this find the question is, Bro or King?

J35TXS8.png

Well, they do say that bad publicity is still good publicity. I still think that Team Rocket would make for a good Salad Bar name. I wonder if they have the name trademarked.

aWMvX9w.png

Cactus versus Panda.

HMpbK6z.png

Shouting is always the answer.

lNrNDx9.png

And in round 2, Rabbit versus Panda, shouting was still the answer. Though it Rabbit did get a double crit kick.

tQTuGI9.pngUpenKCr.png

Like I have been saying, salad bar. Quit, and set up a salad bar called Team Rocket.

v1w9nlr.png

An aspiring business person wanting to set up a salad bar with your name.

MVRi9dw.png

So E.Coli.

Rr0HVLW.png

Or I could do it anyway. Shouting Pandas are very powerful weapons.

p2Cx4f3.png

Voltorbs are fast.

BhpIpf9.png

Koffings are not.

2n2Vwsx.png

Bats are apparently slower than pandas as well.

7ScAKtL.png

Shouty panda saves the day again, because cacti are slow.

V9KDCox.png

I am now contractually obliged to prove you wrong.

PfUZy4t.png

Yeah, but shouty panda. Also, I cannot think of a pun involving a salad item and the name Proton. I need it.

HvlqF1h.png

Nice of you to show up Kurt. When all the work is already done.

XF1E2wk.png

I know I did.

c4rxULA.png

I get a lone Pokéball. A quick one.

QMiMLkc.png

It’s my fruit, not yours. Anyway, let’s fork over the Apricorn we stole from his garden.

tqOtK18.png

And here is Tristan. Neutral nature which is fine, I guess. Probably won’t use him unless absolutely necessary.

qxxZ0Ek.png

And after a quick heal, we shall end. Probably will do some off-screen training to get everyone’s levels roughly equal before we fight the gym, as well as think up more salad jokes.

Last time we took on Team Rocket, and tried to convince them that starting up a chain of salad bars could be a good idea. But Executive E.Coli didn't want to listen to a child, so we beat him up. And now we move onto the next chapter.

[spoiler=Chapter 20 - An Azalea Grave]6PDyLMw.png

Time for part 6 in our journey through Johto. Was doing a bit of training, but then found out that Kumano won’t learn any Flying-type moves through levelling, and only having Astonish and Fury Attack as damaging moves is annoying. But first looking through the documents with the hack, you can get a Hoenn starter in Azalea Town. So, let dump William.

X6vswPE.png

First hurdle, a quiz.

usyeOJW.png

I believe so.

y3Fj8qV.png

Hurray.

FcImxxH.png

Nope.

HgO6YGH.png

It’s 200.

OFsF5Qb.png

Final question time.

g0gAsXd.png

It does.

zTQl04Q.png

Hurray. Torchic would help in both this gym and against Whitney, but Treecko would be preferred. Though if I go for Treecko I miss out on Turtwig when I reach Goldenrod. Let’s leave it to a coin. Heads for Treecko, tails for Torchic.

qKJ5Qtr.png

It’s tails. Torchic it is.

d8FBHJK.png

Here we have Stephen, named as such as Christmas is coming up and Boxing Day is also St Stephen’s Day. Time to level him a bit, so he is on par with the level 18-21 Bugsy has.

MzmweyO.png

With everyone, bar Kumano, at level 22 or higher we can begin going through Azalea Town’s gym.

BFjxqOy.png8br24aB.png

Some are cool, others less so.

UPWDn71.png

Male Combee falls under not cool.

1eEZXoH.png

Kumano does annoy me with her low damaging moves.

BVYQgdm.png

Pinecos are good, only because Forretress is cool.

WcGXnMK.png

Oh yeah, Self Destruct is a thing.

wDpLzbb.png

Kricketune is an eh. Crabhammer is a good move.

fe3Np7m.png

Cool, most of them remain flammable though.

eF1gxpk.png

And with a Paras up first I think I can easily prove my point.

9IsOLI6.png

Bug/Grass burns very easily.

dwsscSC.png

So does Bug/Ninja.

RkyKJ71.png

Ledian was somewhat irritating, confusing Stephen but did end up paralyzing itself of Static.

JMVKrAT.png

All you need to win is a sheep and a chicken.

P4AlQ5D.pngOMkffRs.png

My first intention was to beat the small fodder first, but that is the end goal.

jW3UG9V.png

First off these are part Electric, so Friedrich is going to leave. And second I can’t shout this battle without risking collateral.

E5BFLv7.png

Bloody hell. Air Cutter had to crit didn’t it. Also, Moonlight is getting annoying. Anyway, the had a Dustox as well, which did bugger all. Anyway, time to heal.

z3ONEPK.png

On trip to the Pokecenter later, and I forget to heal. Thankfully, this is only a Gym Trainer.

MbsU0VP.png

Yeah, but I don’t use Bug-types.

SFrUPLs.png

Cool, good for you. I just want to be finished with this gym. It has already killed two of my Pokémon. One I only got today.

0d5U5yp.png

I am going to convert all my annoyance into shouting.

mvhWEOG.png

U-turn doesn’t save you Heracross.

VIYnM3i.png

Your Pinsir also fell. And Shouty panda will have to tag out to be on the safe side.

ngaVeFT.png

Bugsy likes his U-turn.

JkIYEQU.png

Shame it isn’t good enough. Now all he has left are Bug/Flying.

sZuPqC8.png

A two-for-one paralysis. Static gets Butterfree, and Thunder Wave gets Yanma.

jKTRdgu.png

Now for the final boss.

TaEVmwI.png

Bloody Swords Dance.

MScabQg.png

Revenge is sweet.

jwfkZ5Q.png

Anyway, we get the Hive Badge and U-turn, and find out our mother is spending our money on crap. Regardless, time to bury Mary and then stop. I need to train up more things.

0Y99sED.png

Our mum got us berries. Ones I don’t have any use for.

TX9rVUq.png

Anyway, that is me done. I lost three Pokémon during that gym and I already am dreading Whitney. I hate her Miltank. I wonder if there are any Rock or Steel-types between now and then.

Holy cow that was savage, and it's not even like you're underleveled, this game is no joke.

My main issue surfaces. I get cocky, and then everything starts tumbling down.

Anyway time for chapter 21, this time with whatever song I had on loop the entire time I was doing the thing.

[spoiler=Chapter 21 - A Forest of Distractions.]oOJ2EeJ.png

We are now back after losing 3 team members to Bugsy’s gym. And after some training, we now have had 3 evolutions.

ehoFVcp.png

William evolved into a Loudred.

qgxd8Ps.png

Friedrich evolved into a Feraligatr.

Y5NFUx0.png

And Ella evolved into a Kingler. So, with that it is time to head towards Goldenrod.

ZGKeY5l.png

Why is this passer-by talking to me?

J6qHk1I.png

Yes. And I ruined one of their business ventures. If they start opening salad bars, you can thank me.

5rnrtgS.png

It is true. I have also beat your thieving arse before as well.

DWaw2Zn.png

Deadly serious, you should remember it.

74dk7Ru.png

Time for a rival fight.

r9EEPfi.png

Heavy training pays off. Two rounds of shouting wins.

rkbqeHG.png

Now for Shouty Panda. One Faint Attack and it goes down.

44Q0uIm.png

Honestly, the only reason I have 9 levels on him is because I fear Whitney’s Miltank. And the damn Bayleaf survived an Ice Fang.

0LlAvRV.png

Never use Mean Look on a Pokémon 8 levels higher which may have a STAB super-effective move.

Kmy6RRn.png

Like yourself. You only dealt damage because your Murkrow was faster than William.

YkSywvI.pngMz33ZdM.png

Which is why I was proposing a rebranding of the organisation to them.

BEYgYUJ.png

And with Passrby leaving, we can carry on through Ilex Forest.

nxsYDBR.png

And our catch is a Murkrow.

36eWsVt.png

And it died. I also forgot to buy more Pokeballs, so I had 1 left when it died. Not great forward planning.

wT16SJ1.png

And why would that be?

pSBamv4.png

Okay, losing something important to your business would be reason enough.

OT1aODH.png

Why are you shifting your work onto me?

UKrPzex.png

Now can I have payment for doing your work?

ANtbJR0.png

Those aren’t very creative names.

nIwNmpD.png

Oh, thank god for that. I need it. Time to teach it to Ella, which does give her more coverage with a Grass-type move.

vhzFJSJ.png

A nice little shrine for the protector of the forrest.

gkWH5G3.png

This would’ve been useful, if I still had Leo. But no, I probably won’t get Leafeon in this playthrough. Also, I technically can’t complete this hack as the end goal is catch Arceus, which requires all other 492 Pokémon to be caught. But I’ll settle for aiming to beat Red.

8SNi0eV.png

I spy with my little eye, someone who isn’t here normally. I may regret this.

NBG87B4.png

Right before this, she got Ivysaur to use Vine Whip.

HgK0Snb.png

I saw absolutely nothing. Nothing.

gFegSQp.png

I now have a knot of grass for seeing absolutely nothing.

y88AoEb.png

Yes, because who is going to believe the 10-year-old who says they say a woman telling an Ivysaur to whip them in the middle of a forest.

WyMAAAl.png

This forest is filled with strange women. First a masochist, now this.

F4DqOk2.png

Then it must be a case of same face syndrome, which affects 90% of the region’s population. Donate to the New Bark Foundation now to help bring more awareness to this affliction.

dsLqAje.png

Yes, because that means free healing. And both William and Alice got badly poisoned by a Carnavine.

gEWnGxL.png

Freidrich is trying to steal my spotlight.

MsKVbmF.png

Friedrich, that was a dick move.

RdqkTSE.png

The good news is we were basically out. The bad news is, more people. I need antidotes.

PovsCYw.png

Can I just get to the damn PokéCenter now?

tFVNobn.png

I am not going back to Azalea Town just for a Spiritomb.

EiRwX2E.png

Screw it. I’m heading back. New route means a new Pokémon and I am not fighting this double battle when two of my Pokémon are poisoned.

p7AH7US.png

Since I am back in Azalea Town, and have stocked up on 30+3 Pokéballs, let’s try to catch Spiritomb. As a Ghost/Dark can be useful.

sg277ra.png

Oh Jesus, that was close. If that crit did a bit more damage, that would’ve been annoying.

9rG5ePJ.png

We now have a Spiritomb. I’ll need to level him, but first let’s call him Philip.

crqW7Rx.png

A neutral nature is fine, I guess. It was of it though to only try and use Shadow Sneak. Anyway, back though Ilex Forest.

dsjcT2n.png

Yeah, but do you have to bug me about it.

eljczWB.png

I’ll still win.

p9VepD2.png

Yeah, I have 8 levels on them minimum.

nY50lRy.png

That wasn’t hard. Time to see what our catch is.

e0S32vp.png

I honestly don’t give a damn if this ends up dying.

14XlFNz.png

Hurray for Tristan. This Bonsly will be known as Gerald.

tEwEpln.png

Please don’t lead to a battle. I just want to get to Goldenrod.

0kVgUTa.png

And I am annoyed. How many interruptions exist between Azalea Town and Goldenrod City.

aPQ4XPt.png

I can answer that question. No. Anyway, let’s dump some stuff in here.

vX6XBnF.png

And after dodging each trainer and dumping Terry and El in the Day-Care, we arrive in Goldenrod City. Next time, I’ll go through the trainers I dodged to get Philip up a few levels as well as get Turtwig from the quiz guy in the PokéCenter. Then figure out what else there is to do in Goldenrod before having to fight Whitney and her bloody Miltank.

Meant to get this up a bit early, when I am not ready to sleep, but Christmas stuff happened.

[spoiler=Chapter 22 - Journey Down the Golden Road]PkPda0m.png

Last time we arrived in Goldenrod City. This time we are going to run around and level up Philip on skipped trainers before going to fight Whitney. Probably, depends how long everything else takes.

tGlTWiG.png

First thing, though is to get a Turtwig.

oXOi6qa.png

He does not.

IkrQhZT.png

No, it cannot.

mC9uaiQ.png

Once again, no.

QcdmqE0.png

And finally, yes.

jgN2QPC.png

And here we have David, named as such as it is the first name I saw looking at a bookcase. +Sp.Def/-Defense is kinda eh. Anyway, time to level up stuff.

hZPW2Jg.png

And I am confident in my ability to win stuff.

xdhiufi.png

Philip vs an otter.

koDuQrf.png

Sleep is a powerful thing.

wwb2zdi.png

Having more people to rematch is always good.

gbLdpwe.png

Yes, but you aren’t in class anymore.

1Cs1JFL.png

He switched from Mankey to this. Which now will die to Dream Eater.

TV2bmjo.png

Bingo.

J32zLRc.png

How to win, put things to sleep. Anyway, he has a Mankey left which probably can’t do damage.

lDhmEQt.png

It used Focus Energy.

EZXyPhz.png

Sure, I need to get training done.

dNi1fG0.png

First up a Hoppip.

OEfnTK5.png

It tried to use Poison Powder right after Stun Spore.

TPgPU4m.png

Now for an Ivysaur.

o7grhQF.png

Dream Eater + Shadow Sneak means win.

KtOB2d8.png

And finally, it was a Skiploom. Which going by how both it and the Hoppip used only powder moves they only had Normal-type damaging moves. And with that all the skipped trainers are beaten.

nQPPhsa.png

Who is this suspicious character standing outside the radio tower?

l0yiaZK.pngJzkLhMc.png

That isn’t very nice.

cEf3cy3.png

Time to win a radio card.

X0DhjtY.pngppKrduM.pngniKxi7W.pngqTcMJQt.pngSSTHHji.png

The answers were Yes, Yes, No, Yes, and No.

PbtoGbH.pngwdUdL9D.png

Oh, look who it is. My nightmare. Yes, you would think that if it weren’t for the small little things called apricorns. It is “rn” not “t”. And then she runs off. Time to head north or Goldenrod.

DqcGHE0.png

New route means a new potential partner and more trainer fodder.

AcUR4R7.png

Right now, I am actively avoiding that place.

ZkWpzzK.png

Normal ones.

Nk7Bpqd.png

Anyway, double battle time.

ESk6PMY.png

Yeah, pulling David out at the start was a good idea.

XxtdKK4.png

Then prepare to be disappointed.

yFJDNA1.png

Damn poison.

pwKY1q5.png

Like I said, prepare to be disappointed. Anyway, time to challenge his girlfriend.

k31Eo1Y.png

Is that a response to the loss right in front of you, or does it happen a lot?

b3JOShX.png

Start to fear the tortoise.

u6y1Pjr.png

Now you can be weak together.

his7B9I.png

I use the internet and personal experience.

0IrE9yZ.png

Damn Diglett and Dig making the match last 2 turns longer.

97D9FTL.png

Thankfully this could only Tail Whip apparently.

DJeRVQm.png

This also couldn’t do anything.

hUq4xr1.png

And because of that battle, David evolved.

EHsLnif.png

Well, don’t do it in my direction. Thankfully, this route is almost done.

MEWdzsS.png

Crab beats skunk.

yfUizkX.png

Crab also beats weird fire creature thing.

QnbdxI8.png

Cool, danger is also active during the day.

4Vh8erS.png

Don’t shout at police dogs. It’ll probably only make matters worse.

W7P1geK.png

I shouldn’t have pushed my luck. Fire Fang had to crit.

d2BP6v1.png

Oh well, Hammer Arm is there for revenge purposes.

WldM5Wc.png

And our catch is a Nidoran.

v0Jvsuv.png

I would’ve preferred something else, but this’ll do for now. Time to head back to Goldenrod.

msvYKeM.png

We are now back in Goldenrod. Still have a bit to do on Route 35 such as Bug Catcher, but that is us. Just need to do off-screen training to bring Philip up to level 28~ and then we can go fight Whitney. Probably won't have anything tomorrow as I'm going to be out basically all day for birthday related stuff, but Sunday there will be stuff.
