Warrior/Effect

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. When you Normal Summon a Warrior-Type monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster.

So this has recently been seeing play with the advent of Gouki Knightmare in TCG as a means of getting Isolde out quicky to advance plays, and I suppose it's a popular choice as it has also been bought out (Good thing I found a playset in my jank), discuss?

Looks like a pretty solid link or xyz option, since it can special summon itself whenever a warrior type monster is normal summoned. It's effect is technically not once per turn, so if you can get additonal normal summons ( goblin and seraphinite come to mind ) you might be able to summon her 2-3 times in one turn. The synchro restriction isn't very important, given that it's link plays are pretty good.

Interesting pick. I guess this does have a niche despite other board-assist Warriors like Goblindbergh and Photon Thrasher being things. Plus it's DARK for Allure and whatnot. Hmm... now I wonder if HEROes could make use of it as well.

Maybe, but not as good as solidman and goblindberg, given that they special summon the hero monster, and shadowmist gets his effect only when special summoned. It might be useful in decks not centered around Dark Law though.

So this is the card that people are using in the "variable slot" that I was concerned about?  It's... interesting (glad I know I have at least a couple hanging around somewhere), but I feel there's gotta be something better.  I personally still like Motivating Captain in the slot, but this being unable to be negated by "Infinite Impermanence" does have its value, but, I mean, if they have Impermanence, they'll just negate Isolde anyway...

By the by, where are you seeing these decks?  I kinda want to see what else people are running.
