Dae's Cutthroat Cardmaker: Tournament Series

Welcome to Cutthroat Cardmaker, the unofficial TCG tournament series of the YuGiOh! CardMaker Forum. I am your host and tournament director, Daemon, here to start of the first of many tournaments on this site!

Let us start of with talking about the tournament itself: I want to increase activity in the TCG Section and the best way to do that is to promote an LGS style Leaderboard series to help with this endeavor.

Once a month, I will host a four person Swiss round event where each participant will contend to receive points on the leaderboard. Each win will count as one point. The points mean nothing, to be honest, but they will be kept track on the Cutthroat Leaderboard and you can rub them in other member’s faces. First come, first serve, for each tournament.

The rules are simple:
1. It is the TCG Format.
2. Anything legal in the current paper metagame is allowed.
3. Both players must confirm the results.

It is pretty simple. There are some reasons I am doing it this way. I want YCM to get more active, but I also am a busy person. I can’t keep track of each personal game play like Striker does for his Leaderboard, so I am conducting it like a tournament. Once a month sounds good, gets enough time for each other players to get in their three matches. I also won’t have all the time in the world to keep track of everything. If it gets more popular, I might sprinkle in some later. Additions to this, depending on how consistent this is ran, I might make a seasonal championships and add more to the Leaderboard that will be like a Top 4 Elimination or Champions Tournament. I’ll worry about that later. I’ll also make cool graphics for everything, ‘cause I actually have some skill in Graphic Design.

Right now, this is just an interest check and discussion point. Matters here are subject to change to my own discretion and sheet. I’ll start up the tournament series later if I get enough interest.
