[Written] Nanophile Archetype (For my Fanfic/Antagonist's Deck revealed)

This Deck is for my fanfic which will be used by the antagonist Gungnir in the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Union". The main similiarities between the monsters are that they cannot be targeted for attacks and card effects, but does not prevent direct attacks. In doing so, the Deck is very open to LP damage. However, they Deck itself has high ATK values for their Levels/Ranks. Furthermore, some cards can increase the ATK power and most of the monsters can inflict piercing damage. The other main focus of the Deck is to place the opponent's monsters in Defense Position to deal piercing damage and prevent their monsters from really doing anything. As such, they can also be defensive when needed. All Nanophile monsters have 400 DEF and that's pretty much all, other than that they have all Summoning methods, except anything "experimental" and Tribute Summon (although you may choose to for 1 of the cards even though it isn't needed).

Now, the Deck isn't complete as it doesn't have its final boss monster.

On a side note, the naming conventions of the monsters are that they are based off of spears and pikes. Let's get on with it!

A problem one might see is the fact that you only have 4 cards here that change battle positions. Of course, while this does hurt the consistency of the Deck slightly, the fact is that you have have plenty of battle position changing cards in the game today. Enemy Controller, Book of Moon, even cards like Block Attack, you're going to have cards to use most of the time. Reboot is even a Foolish Burial of Belongings target. Even so, this Deck suffers a lot in this Link Era, completely dying against Link Decks and not being effective against those with splashed Links. But hey, every Deck has a weakness, right?

I like most of your Main Deck line-up, with your cards balanced between being both supportive, comboing and interactive, so kudos there. Your monsters that work on being destroyed aren't very active, having less enablers than the Defense Position mechanic, and considering this is a very offensive archetype you're not going to have your monsters destroyed by your opponent unless they're set or your opponent Raigekis. I mean, it's not bad to have it, as it's a lot easy to trigger than the aforementioned mechanic, but having two situational effects means that you're probably going to focus more on one than the other, putting Goebendag as a weak monster. It's a shame the Pendulum Monsters need each other in order to be useful, but it prevents one from being a definitive better than the other. Shame your Rituals are't Pre-Prep targets, even by cheaty Vendread standards, because right now they're not too easy to get out. Not even Prep targets. Also, SO MUCH CYBERSE SUPPORT THESE CARDS CAN USE.

Spells are alright. Helpful Ritual Spell, decent Soul Charge, but the Field Spell requiring field presence in order to get your plays going is meh. Yes, you have cards that trigger off of it, but needing a specific card to maximize your main searcher kinda defeats the point, don't ya think? Memory shouldn't have both effects relying on Defense Position, imo, to at least be somewhat independent. Perhaps not on the first effect? Both of your Traps are neat, with even burn protection not seeming out of place.

Extra Deck is also pretty cool. Nothing really stands out to me, save for the ease of Summoning most of them...but they do have rather specifically archetypal effects, so nothing to complain about there.

This is one of those archetypes that is very dependent on how it would actually play over several turns, as it relies on non-archetypal cards, good deckbuilding and many turns to work out the plays. I'd say its a bit vulnerable and inconsistent, but you'd judge that better from testing. But yeah, seems pretty fine otherwise. Love the flavour :D
