This is one of the themes that I made around a year ago where I given them updated effects new Monsters and more Spell/Trap Cards and a focus around their mass summoning for Link Monsters with support, protection and counter effects.

 

[spoiler=Monsters]Aquo Bubble

lv 1 WATER

Aqua/Effect

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: you can Special Summon up to 2 "Aquo Bubble" from your deck, hand or GY to your side of the field. During the turn you activated this effect, you cannot summon Monsters from your Extra Deck except WATER Aqua Monsters. You can only activate this effect of "Aquo Bubble" once per duel.

Aquo Elemental

lv 2 WATER

Aqua/Effect

While you control a WATER Aqua Monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only Special Summon "Aquo Elemental" this way once per turn.

ATK/800 DEF/600

 

Aquo Snake

lv 3 WATER

Aqua/Effect

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: you can destroy Spell/Trap cards on your opponents side of the field up to the number of WATER Aqua Monsters. You can only activate this effect of "Aquo Snake" once per turn.

Aquo Mermaid

lv 3 WATER

Aqua/Effect

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: add 1 "Aquo" Monster from your Deck or GY to your hand. During each of your End Phase, increase your LP by 800. You can only activate each effect of "Aquo Mermaid" once per turn.

Aquo Maiden

Aqua/Effect

You can discard this card from your hand; add 1 "Aquo Ocean" from your deck or GY to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Aquo Maiden" once per turn. While you control a "Umi", all face-up WATER Aqua Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects.

Aquo Spirit

Aqua/Effect

If you control a "Aquo" Monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only Special Summon "Aquo Spirit" once per turn. Once per turn: you can target 1 Monster your opponent controls, change the battle position of that Monster. If you control a "Aquo" Link Monster, Monsters whose position where changed by this effect cannot change their battle position

Aquo Siren

Aqua/Effect

If you control only WATER Aqua Monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only Special Summon "Aquo Siren" this way once per turn. During your Main Phase: you can target 1 Monster your opponent controls, take control of the targeted Monster and the targeted Monster is treated as a WATER Aqua Monster. The Monster targeted by this effect cannot declare an attack. You can only activate this effect of "Aquo Siren" once per turn.

Aquo Madoor

If a "Aquo" Monster you control would be destroyed by battle or by card effect, you can Special Summon this card from your hand instead. You can only activate this effect of "Aquo Madoor" once per turn. Once per turn (Quick Effect): you can target 1 "Aquo" Monster you control, the targeted Monster cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects until the End Phase that turn.

You can only activate each effect of "Aquo Knight" once per turn.

Increase the ATK of all Aqua Monsters you control by 400. Once per turn: you can discard 1 card from your hand; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower WATER Aqua Monster from your GY to a zone this card points to.

Aquo Tactician

During your Main Phase: you can Special Summon 1 WATER Aqua Link Monster from your GY to a zone this card points to. During your Main Phase: you can draw cards equal to the number of WATER Aqua Link Monsters that are co-linked to this card. You can only activate 1 "Aquo Tactician" effect per turn and only once that turn.

2+ WATER Aqua Monsters including 1 "Aquo" Monster

Must be Link Summoned. When a Monster targets this card for an attack, you can change the battle position of that Monster to defence position. (Quick Effect): you can target 1 face-up Spell/Trap card your opponent controls, negate that cards effects until the End Phase that turn. You can only activate each effect of "Aquo Empress" once per turn.

Aquo Emperor

3+ WATER Monsters

Must be Link Summoned. When this card is Link Summoned, destroy all Non-WATER Monsters on the field. This card cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. The maximum amount of attacks this card can make during each of your Battle Phases is equal to the number of WATER Monsters in zones this this card points to +1.

(This card's name is always treated as "Umi".)

You can Normal Summon 1 WATER Aqua Monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. Increase the ATK and DEF of all WATER Monsters you control by 200. When this card leaves the field, add 1 "Aquo" Monster from your GY to your hand.

 

Aquo Current

Spell Card

Activate this card while you control no Monsters. Special Summon 1 "Aquo" Monster from your deck to your side of the field. During the turn you activated this card you cannot summon Monsters except WATER Aqua Monsters.

 

Aquo Pressure

Spell Card

Activate this card while you control a WATER Aqua Monster. Destroy 1 Monster on your opponents side of the field whose ATK is equal or less than the ATK of a WATER Aqua Monster(s) you control with the highest ATK. If you control a Link 3 or higher "Aquo" Link Monster, destroy all Monsters your opponent controls instead.

 

Aquo Wave

Trap Card

Activate this card while you control a WATER Aqua Monster. Target 1 Spell/Trap card on your opponents side of the field, shuffle the targeted card into the deck. If you control a Link 3 or higher "Aquo" Link Monster, shuffle all Spell/Trap cards on your opponents side of the field into the deck instead.

 

Aquo Art - Aoi

Trap Card

Activate this card while you control a WATER Aqua Monster. Look at your opponents hand, send 1 card from your opponents hand to the GY. If you control a Link 3 or higher "Aquo" Monster, send 2 cards from your opponents hand to the GY instead. You can only activate "Aquo Art - Aoi" once per duel.

 

Aquo Freeze

Counter Trap Card

Activate this card when your opponent activates a card or Effects while you control a WATER Aqua Monster. Negate the activation and effects of that card and destroy that card. If you control a Link 3 or higher "Aquo" Link Monster, Negate the activation and effects of that card, then, banish it and all copies of that card from your opponents hand, deck and GY face-down instead.
