Here we go again, people. Another proponent of the Prosperity Gospel is trying to get another jet via donations. I think that this is outrageous and an abuse of the Christian faith for personal gain. Mr. Duplantis may claim God told him to, but I highly doubt that. Discuss the article and the Prosperity Gospel in general.

Honestly, I believe that articles like this simply serve to give more attention to people who already have far too much. These things don't convince people to move away from megachurches, nor do they stop the TV donations. The target market of this form of "religion" is people who are completely okay with this kind of thing, or will believe any explanation given, so all this serves to do is give them more publicity.

They should crucify him like Christ instead.

just as Jesus said

Give me the goddamn jet, at least I'll make good use of it. Oh, his name is Duplantis, and it rhymes with duplicitous.

Yeah Never like prosperity gospel movement. Sure scripture is there but it never meant exclusively interpreted as crude as that if other scripture also (heavily more in fact) teach about humility, life simplicity, and sharing

More so for "teacher" that one-sidely claim: "ooohh oooh god whisper on me things and you guys my fool of a lambs must help me fullfil it without questioning it by cross-refrenced the bible if what i request or the means i received the quest is match with god intention ot overall teaching~" urrrrggghh what an obvious false prophet

Often then not the same people: "if you lack of money or any sin-free material possession you desired...it means your faith and sermons are lacking" yeah sure,

Im not the best exemplar christian devotee around but these type off people more off then not either disappoint me or making attempt of spreading the word of god harder since these people put a false standard of what christian is

People like this give a bad perspective on Christianity as a whole. This kind of thing, coming from a Catholic, pisses me off so much, especially since these people could feasibly believe they are righteous, although probably not, and they abuse the trust many people have in them which is certainly not "Christ-like" as so many of them claim to be.

“I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the Earth today, he wouldn’t be riding a donkey,” he says in the video “He’d be in an airplane preaching the gospel flying all over the world.”

Are you funking kidding me right now?

Jesus would obviously drive a Honda. The Bible says the disciples were all of one accord.

But seriously.

23 And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is[a] to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him,[b] “Then who can be saved?” 27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” 28 Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” 29 Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, 30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
