Inspired by "Hope Magician", here are some hybrids.

Odd-Eyes Photon Dragon                             LIGHT/Dragon/Pendulum/LV7/S9             2500 / 3000

Pendulum:          If you XYZ Summon a monster using one or more Pendulum Summoned monsters you control as material, that XYZ monster gains this effect:

  • If a monster the opponent controls is banished, you can take a monster with less ATK than the banished monster had on the field from your GY or from face-up in your Extra Deck and add it to your hand.

Monster:             If this card destroys a monster in battle, you can target a monster with 1500 or less ATK in your GY; Special Summon it, then if you control another monster with 2000 or more ATK you can inflict damage to the opponent’s LP equal to the original ATK of the Special Summoned monster. You can only activate this effect of “Odd-Eyes Photon Dragon” once per turn.

Galaxy-Eyes Pendulum Dragon                  DARK/Dragon/Pendulum/LV8/S6              3000 / 2500

Pendulum:          If you XYZ Summon a monster using one or more Pendulum Summoned monsters you control as material, that XYZ monster gains this effect:

  • If this card battles an opponent’s monster, you can detach a Material from this card; banish that monster, and inflict damage equal to its level/rank x 200 to the opponent’s LP.

Monster:             While this card is in your GY or face-up in your Extra Deck, you can tribute a monster with 2000 or more ATK; take a Dragon-type Pendulum monster from your GY or from face-up in your Extra Deck and place it in your Pendulum zone. You can only activate this effect of “Galaxy-Eyes Pendulum Dragon” once per turn.

Stardust Utopia                                 LIGHT/Warrior/XYZ/R4                                                  2500 / 2000

2 level 4 monsters, including at least 1 Tuner

Once per turn, if a card you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can detach a material from this card instead, or, if there are no materials on this card, Tribute this card instead. If this card is Tributed to activate the above effect, you can target a Synchro or XYZ monster in your GY, other than “Stardust Utopia”; Special Summon it.

Magical HERO Neos                        DARK/Spellcaster/Fusion/LV 7                                    2500 / 2000

1 “HERO” monster + 1 “Magician” monster

If this card destroys a monster by battle, you can Tribute a Spellcaster-type monster and target a Spell card in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only activate this effect of “Magical HERO Neos” once per turn. This card gains the following effects, depending on the number of level 7 monsters used to Fusion Summon it.

  1. If this card declares an attack, Special Summon an “Apprentice” token (DARK Spellcaster LV 1 ATK 0 DEF 0).
  2. The original ATK and DEF of “Apprentice” tokens become 2500/2000, respectively.

[Looks like a “Dark Magician” wearing white robes with the red markings of “Elemental HERO Neos”]

Varied-Eyes Dragon        DARK/Dragon/Fusion/LV8                            ATK 1500 / DEF 1000

2+ dragon-type monsters.

Gains 500 ATK/DEF for each Fusion Material monster used to Fusion Summon it. Gains the following effects, depending on its Fusion Materials.

  • A “Blue-Eyes” monster:  Once per turn, if this card targets a monster for an attack, you can destroy that monster without applying damage calculation.
  • A “Red-Eyes” monster: If this card destroys a monster by battle or by it’s effect, inflict damage to the opponent’s LP equal to half the ATK of the destroyed monster.
  • A “Galaxy-Eyes” monster: A monster destroyed by this card (by battle or effect) is banished.
  • An “Odd-Eyes” monster: If this card destroys a monster during the Battle Phase, it can attack a second time during the current Battle Phase.

If this card is Fusion Summoned using 3 or more Materials, it is unaffected by other card effects during the turn it was Fusion Summoned.

Your first hybrid has a a decent Pendulum effect, almost as much as the other Xyz Monsters, and it being a scale 9 AND a Dragon means that it is really accessible for the main powerful Decks; probably should have some sort of restriction in there, especially as you can just activate it and use it for a generic adder in Dragons. Of course, you're not going to be Summoning the bad boi, considering its underwhelming ATK, meh conditions, it not having an SS clause and so needing you to put in effort instead of using that effort to Summon Galaxy-Eyes. Unfortunately, not a great card, particularly not for Galaxy/Photon.

Your Pendulum Dragon unfortunately is another let down, as its scale is lacking to properly support Galaxy/Photon (Level 5/4????) stacking even more power onto your Xyz Summoned cards means these cards are either dead or winmoar. I was hoping for something more directly supportive or interactive. While its main monster effect is good, it just becomes a permanent Foolish Burial target. and that's not something I personally like. There's no reason to Summon it, no reason to even place it in the Pendulum Zone; it just sits in the GY being useful, and unlike that Volcanic searcher, it doesn't cease being useful. Might as well be an untargetable continuous spell (although D.D. Crow would like to have a word with me later).

Stardust is a pretty neat card, being an alternative to go into mid-/late-game instead of Beelze. Of course, it's not great, or even really good, just a temporary wall that can bring back monsters from your GY. At least it doesn't activate, but Beelze would probably still be gone into over this card.

HERO Neos...is a nifty card. Really good main effect, relatively easy to Summon with Summoning like a Spellbook engine, or perhaps a HERO engine in another Deck, and with neat effects for actually Summoning the card the way it was supposed to be Summoned. I really do love this card, and wish the other cards were like this. Well, most of the other cards...

...because Varied-Eyes is pretty cool too. True, the Blue-Eyes effect is the best one there, but it is mostly Summonable using more materials. While it is a meme card, with you being unable to run all of these cards in the Deck most of the time (even with your other support #missedOppurtunity) a combination of two of these Decks I can see happening, particularly Blue-Eyes + Galaxy/Red-Eyes. Could probably be a little stronger though.

Mostly really underwhelming cards, but the last two hint towards your proper design skills. I like them much better as hybirds, and think you can apply the style there to the rest of the set.
